Puppy Pro Plan recommendations

Hey all

I’m looking to upgrade the food for my 7 month old Shiba. The breeder had him on purina one true instinct puppy high protein, chicken and duck.

She did say I could upgrade to the Purina pro plan if I want to get something fancier. I’m trying to decide between the regular puppy pro plan chicken and rice formula or if I should get the puppy sensitive skin and stomach, salmon and rice formula.

He doesn’t have a sensitive stomach now, or any allergies that I know of but I was reading that a lot of people like to use that one with Shiba‘s as they can develop allergies and the salmon is good for their coat.

I saw a 30/20 sport as well but I read 20% is too much fat.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Price increase email

Got an email this afternoon “Important Home Internet Account Update” with a link to a page saying they are increasing all fiber plans that activated between June 9th 2024 and July 19th 2025 are going up $5 a month (and of course I activated on the 15th of July 25.

Here is the link https://www.att.com/support/article/u-verse-high-speed-internet/KM1260426/

I’m currently on the 1 gig for $55 that was offered last summer ($25 off ongoing).

My bill June to July (services between July and August) doesn’t show an increase in the news you can use section but probably the next one?

Has anyone gotten the GoFence composite fence from Costco.com?

Looking to get a fence done and checked if Costco has any install programs like they do with other household projects and I stumbled upon these composite fence diy panels and am wondering if anybody has gotten these?

There aren’t any reviews yet and I have not seen posts on r/Costco about them.

Unlimited v4 to Experience Signature Bill Update. Price went down

Ok as promised here is the update after the bill came out. It ended up being a decrease since even though they raised the base plan the add on for premium is now free.

Watch also was bumped from 500MB to 2GB (T-Life shows unlimited in the data section).

I wonder if they would apply the Experience Beyond data promo to the basic line or am I risking a rep screwing everything up? If I would’ve known I would’ve upgraded that line to premium last month.

This plan also seems to be eligible to add T-Priority. Would they want to verify if I add that in T-Life? I am in public safety but in a private company so not sure if that qualifies.

Edit: Hulu and Netflix are still free. Still can add Apple TV for the $2.99

Does anyone need a way to check plan SOCs anymore?

I know it’s not available with those extensions anymore and it’s not in the URL anymore either. It does seem like T-Mobile makes it harder to find.

I’m not sure if anybody has a workaround now, but I did discover one. Is that something I should post or would that be against any tos or something?

Replace XB7 for promised XB8

Placed an order with support yesterday and it was supposed to be an XB8 (they did inform me it’s possible I get a 7 so not blaming anyone) but a 7 was sent. They said I could request this to be swapped if a 7 came and this one looks pretty beat up as well.

“Experience Beyond Data Promo 2” add on replacement for Sprint Premium

Just checked my add ons section and here is what is replacing Sprint Premium on Unlimited v4. The line that was on Basic is getting one of the 60GB options.

Was paying $20 for the Premium add ons and this one is free. Are they going to increase the plan by $20 or will this be a price decrease?

Is there no retention department/deals anymore?

Was considering moving services to a competitor but wanted to see what Comcast could maybe do in terms of price. The first retention agent said there would be deals but I would need to wait for the port out on the landline to complete.

After that the second agent said they no longer do any retention deals and no deals for customers. The only reason we didn’t cancel is she said there might be deals in a month.

Can a rep here check if there are any deals before we cancel?

Costco Business Center Buckets at Regular Warhorse

This was at a Midwest region regular warehouse (non business center). Thought it was an interesting find to see. They just had the 2 sets and it was kind of haphazardly placed in the aisle. Wonder if that was a mistake on the truck and got sent here.

Edit: Can’t edit the title, but I hate AutoCorrect haha. Warehouse!

Generic Winix filter recommendations or stick with genuine?

It’s time to replace the hepa filter in my Winix unit (Filter size S) I got at Costco a while back.

I see the genuine filters range from around $50 and that seems a little pricy for a small unit. I see a bunch of random generic ones on Amazon around $30 for 4 filters but it’s literally all no name brands and nonsensical brands.

Does anybody have good quality generic for Winix size S that they trust or should I just stick with the genuine?

This is in the US

Does the quality and speed of a wifi router matter if I have it then hardwired into a switch and then have access points broadcasting wifi inside the house?

At the end of our driveway we have some utility boxes. Inside the boxes we have a spectrum modem and spectrum router. After the router it goes into some box that coverts everything into fiber optic that runs the 1/8 mile to our actual house. Inside the house I run ap's.

I keep having issues with spectrums router failing and was wondering if I have one of mine own on standby does the speed or quality of the router actually matter in my particular setup as listed in the title?

Note on image - in that image is spectrums router and whatever dark magic happens inside the box that converts the router into fiber optic, the and on the other side of that post is the 2nd utility box that houses spectrums modem.

Thx

Is choice $118 or $159?

Signed up for choice and I thought after all the promos the rack rate is $118.98 like it’s advertised on the website but in the account summary there is an intro discount for 2 years of $66.01 off making the rate $159 a month.

Did I sign up for the wrong service? I did no devices so there isn’t a contact. Did use someone’s referral link.

Duo Cam Doorbell has killed 2 transformers. What should I do?

Had a Wyze Duo cam installed and had a electrician run new doorbell wire and install a new transformer and at first everything was working fine. The doorbell detected AC power and showed it was powered off the wires.

The next morning I noticed it showed a battery percentage. Had the transformer tested and was dead so they replaced it and double checked the wiring and this one was instantly killed.

Is there something wrong with the doorbell? Will I need to contact Wyze for a warranty replacement or is there something else to test or do before getting a 3rd transformer installed?

Note the chime is bypassed.

Edit: First transformer was a 16v 30VA and the second was a 24v 40VA.

Ported out landline but still works with the old number.

Ported out a Comcast Digital Voice Landline that completed on Friday. The new service works with the number. Makes and receives calls just fine but I can still make calls from the Comcast equipment and it shows the number I ported out.

The app still shows voice service for that phone number but if I go change plan it does show that there is a pending order. Will it auto cancel or will I need to?

Also the upcoming charges show over $100 less now but in the plan configuration tool with no changes it shows the bill will be more. It’s just internet and TV now and probably will drop TV.

Port successful but old carrier not cancelled and still works.

On Friday morning I got the email from Ooma that my port from Comcast (landline) was completed and everything appears good on Ooma end.

Can make and receive calls fine with the ported number on the Tello. But I’ve noticed the Comcast eMTA modem was still online and I can even place a call and the number I ported away shows up as the caller ID.

Is this normal? I do see on the Comcast account if I do some digging into change plan it says there is an order pending I assume that’s the cancellation of the landline. Is it safe to go ahead and cancel the landline now has the port finished?

Run with no plug (black or blue) or with the black plug but the foam removed?

I know many people recommend running plugless and after replacing our molded over unit I removed the plug and a lot of water comes out. It’s a humid area.

What about removing the foam from the black plug so it still mostly drains but just a little slower?

Tello Air 2 Flashing Red Twice Won’t Connect

Have been trying to setup a new Tello Air 2 all afternoon and have tried different ethernet cables different connection, methods, and different ISPs and it just won’t go online.

Spent over an hour with support and even opened a bunch of ports and nothing. Their basic system didn’t show anything online but tier 2 was able to pull a log saying it was connected to the Internet, but couldn’t establish some VPN. He didn’t know what this meant.

They are sending a new one, but it’ll probably take a week and I’m wondering if there’s anything I can try in the meantime.

He didn’t mention the activation code starting with a six indicates it’s an older unit. Is that somehow causing a problem?
