Traveling end of October a bad idea?

Im choosing between Kuala Lumpur, HCMC, and Da Nang. It seems all options have lots of rain so a nice indoor pool is a must for me cause I love to swim while it rains and hit the markets when it drops. Can’t seem to find any decent place with an indoor pool other then Da Nang. Is it very bad in October? Specifically 20-30.

Best solo destination for an introvert?

I’m a solo male wanting to travel solo to an Asian destination, I found a pretty good deal to fly to Kuala Lunpur for $1k (cad) in October, includes seats and baggage, and roundtrip, but I heard the weather is bad. Is this a good place to go? I only went to Bali and found it ok, loved the food but found the energy to be a bit hectic with all the massage parlours etc, it was a lot and a bit overwhelming. Where should I look into? I love to explore and grab cheap food, drinks, go to a mall maybe, have a decent home base to swim and go out for more exploring, that’s a day in the life. I don’t like partying or drinking etc. I also love squid dishes and a beach if possible but it’s not a deal breaker, I’m traveling for more life experience rather then a beach vacation.

do flight crews “lock” 787 window shades?

I love flying on the 787 but the only thing I hate is the dimming windows. Do crews lock these cause I remember not being able to change it, it was dark the entire flight and sucked.

Sotong mentega uncommon?

What areas should I look at to find this dish? I’ve traveled to Indonesia and my favourite dish is “cumi mentega” but I can’t seem to find it on Google Maps. I have 8 days in KL, how can I find this dish? I plan on eating local food but wanna also have something I crave if I can find it

The dish is basic, it’s just squid with a butter sauce that’s spicy with onions and peppers, with rice on the side, but it is absolutely fantastic

is Jakarta really that bad compared to KL?

I was planning a 6-7 night trip end of October but seen almost every post bash Jakarta for being heavily polluted and stinky, to the point we’re you can get a long infection, and being a poorly designed city and “unwalkable”. Is this all true? It seems like a great place to go explore solo as it’s very cheap both for food and hotels compared to Kuala Lumpur.

I wanna explore a place that is mostly filled with locals, not tourists.

Does WestJet charge for 1st checked bag for PAL ticket?

If I buy a ticket thru PAL(Philippines airlines) which is a super saver economy ticket, it says 2 free checked baggage’s but it also says “If your trip includes connecting flights operated by other airlines under one ticket, the baggage allowance will be based on the first airline in your itinerary. Their baggage policy will apply for the entire journey.” So does that mean I have to pay WestJet for a checked bag twice for the round trip? It’s a flight from Canada to Vietnam. WestJet told me they likely wouldn’t charge me but thats not comforting.

Is 1 hour 40 mins enough time for a intl connection?

I’ll be flying from Canada into LAX, booked my ticket with Philippine airlines, but it’s WestJet taking me to and from LAX… so is 1 hour 40 mins enough time to grab my bags, clear security, and go to the gate? Will my bags even make it? Stressed out… I booked one ticket

Is end of October really that bad?

I’m hoping for some honest and insight here. I’m currently choosing between 1 week in Da Nang or Kuala Lumpur, I’ll be going end of October and can’t change my dates. Both places are basically the same, DN is cheaper for food and stuff, hotels and flights are almost the same. Are the storms that bad that it would prevent me from doing stuff? My plan was to explore as much as I can and swim inside my hotel whenever the weather goes badly south. Not sure what to do

Is squid not a common dish in KL?

If I search “squid” on Google Maps no places pop up that have whole baby squids, only calamari rings… where is the best place for traditional whole squids in a spicy gravy or even by itself, is it possible to find this?

Booked for Da Nang end of October… bad move?

Sooo I have the ability to cancel and switch places, HCMC is similarity prices but has no beach, same with Bangkok, Hanoi seems to be more expensive. Is this a mistake going in the end of October or should I be fine? I enjoy exploring and walking around a lot and grabbing street food, will the rain be that bad and prevent me from enjoying my trip?

Da Nang or Bangkok?

End of October is my travel date, and I prefer less crowds if I can. My preferences are enjoying exotic street food, and having a nice beach to use which only Da Nang offers, on top of cheap hotel and food prices. I enjoy to walk around in the day time, drinking and eating some delicious beverages and food while exploring. Flight tickets are cheap for both at $1,000. Which should I travel to for 1 week? I’m aware end of October is typhoon season but I’m not scared of rain… as long as I can get some moments to swim in the ocean

A350 or 777 for long haul?

I’ve flown on an A350 but never a 777… and I have a feeling the 777 will be phased out in my lifetime cause I’m pretty young. Is the 777 a special plane? I have a choice between flying to Manila from LA (777) or SFO (A350). Economy seat, I can pay $10 to request a window seat apparently. It’s a Philippines Airlines plane

How anonymous is the alert line?

My buddy (I dont work with FedEx) has issues at his station and doesn’t know what to do besides leave or switch buildings. If he reports the station through the alert line, will they know who submitted it? It’s a very toxic work environment he explained to me everything, it’s a lot.
