What is the current situation with film grain on the PS5? Is the bug that causes it to re-enable itself still in this version of the game?

Hi, I'm new to the game, I started playing on PS5 but I have a question about Film Grain: I tried toggling it on and off but couldn't notice any difference.

I did some searching and found old Reddit posts mentioning a bug in the console versions where the filter reactivates itself after being turned off.

Can any PS5 veterans tell me if this is still happening?

If the bug still exists, I'd rather just play with Film Grain enabled from the start so I don't have to keep turning it off repeatedly.
