I'll go first Kiddy Kong's Water Skipping Ability

If you time your rolls and jumps across water in certain levels you will jump/hop across it like a rock through water/lake.

It's the most useless ability, you forgot it exists half the time and it only works in maybe 3 levels. It's just more better just to dive and swim across than doing that. At least Donkey Kong's hand slap in DKC1 found hidden bananas and damaged enemies.

Not married by twenty-three, though we still want the knot tied someday. Works as a truck driver and learns to take in the insults as punching bag.

Every Stacy and even every sub-5 lass he dares speak to, ignores him after three messages or sends him straight to Davy Jones by blockin’ him. That’s just the voyage of life, I suppose. Arrr.

It's not too bad to play and beat the first time but the difficulty curves of trying to get all jiggies or music notes is too much and the trash final world is just so annoying for replays i'm 100% sure. Like most Rareware games this is a guide game.

I cannot stress enough how trash the ending is.

The last world/stage of the game is split up into 4 separate /parts and Rare did everything in their power to slow you down/make it as frustrating as possible.

You can miss jiggies (collectables) very easily in each part and it takes a long time to figure out which you missed without a guide.

Afterwards beating the final world you have to do a mini board game where you answer questions based on the game it sounds fun until you realize if you make too many mistakes or take too much damage you have to repeat the whole board game even at the end.

The questions range from easy to very hard especially if you're trying not to cheat and the timer spaces barely give you enough time so you might as well either grind for invincible feathers (moves) or just hope you win.

Afterwards they force you to watch credits and then finally you can beat the final boss.

This isn't quirky either "hahaha we fooled you now fight the final boss".

It just has so many problems and it has 0 replayability especially since each playthrough basically requires you to almost 100% the game as well (90-95% at least).

Plus I forgot to mention how trying to navigate the whole hub area is a pain as it's split up into a whole tree branch of paths (look at the maps people made for it or you'll get lost too) or how the cheats in this game take forever to input due to needing to ground stomp each letter (I just ended being cheat less).

Edit: Not the "perfect" level to me at all, "Perfect filler" more like it though

I like how they push the limits of the Genesis but the bosses in these games are horrendous on Genesis.

Alien Solider, Headdy, Gunstar. Either the bosses are easy or really hard. It doesn't really feel a challenge mostly just HP tanking and hoping you can power through the boss exchanging hits.

Alien Solider especially you have this one boss that has 5 phases (YES 5 PHASES) and the final boss only has 1 while being way easier while having only 4 attacks! Anyone play test this? You'd think the final boss would be harder than some random boss. Also the story makes no sense for Alien Solider either, I read it like 2 times and still don't get it.

Edit: Yes ya heard me right, for every "Megan" that dates us there's a woman who did and then turned to the dark side with pink pill doubling the odds for the next man.

My Ps2 is now doing the fast speed up disc loader thing my Xbox 360 does now. I have to be like Indiana Jones and swap it fast. When I bought the PS2 it was like that and had a graggle sound with the loader but still loaded games well, it wasn't fast like this (I got it at a discount so I was like why not $70). It still does play games but the problem is getting worse. How can I fix this?

I even used freemcboot in case the loader stops working entirely.

Personally it's not that great to me. I'd take Sonic 3 no S&K attachment over this.

Here's the problems I have with the game:

Level design some stages are extremely maze like and annoying the spring zone or volcanic zone. Where you can take damage quickly. Especially on the last 2 acts where I needed a map.

The game had frame rate drops whenever too many enemies were on screen.

Isometric camera is not easy to control for the bosses. The moving platforms just doesn't work well.

I missed way too many hits with eggman when I hit it dead center.

The flickie birds can get hit even though you didn't and their fly cycle makes it not easy to get back sometimes.

The rings last only like 2 seconds long while others last around 7-9 (You could have like 98 and end up having 10 with 1 HIT), which is a terrible combo with the janky hit detection in bosses and weird camera. It's better just to have 1-10 rings most of the game or bosses.

I did like the secret boss though, it could be a fun challenge but giving you only a few rings is dumb though.

- The directors cut hack tried to fix this with level select, faster sonic(double edged sword), harder gem stages but only for stage 2 stages only (why? It was already annoying to play the game why make it harder?) , flickies were made to be easier to grab, but the rings are STILL 2 seconds long.

After playing both I'd just play the Original half the changes in DC just don't work and since I prefer the easier gem stages. Yeah it's harder so it's a challenge but do you really want to repeat Sonic 3D BLAST?

Director's cut just isn't my thing, people say it's way better but for it's just meh as the game still is a huge escort mission with a ring system that needed to be overhauled. Idk why he didn't fix that but it could have been way too much work to fix it or it was tied to a system that could literally break the game entirely.

Overall a 5/10, like I would never play it again besides liking the graphics and boss music. Sadly this is NO Mario RPG in gameplay nor in fun.
