SQ5: Does the air suspension make the difference?

Posted this on the AudiSQ5 sub, but would love to hear more.

Planning on buying an SQ5 whenever I can find a deal good enough. I’m seeing that the non air suspension cars are cheaper (obviously). I’ve test driven two with the air suspension, but honestly can’t really tell the difference much when driving between comfort and dynamic.

Does the regular suspension really feel that much different than air? Would it be a make or break for you? Is there more body roll or does it feel floatier? Does the steel spring suspension feel planted to the ground the same as the dynamic air?

Going to test drive one next week as long as it doesn’t sell. Figured I’d get some opinions ahead of time.

Thanks!

Edit: Follow up question, how does the regular spring version feel with lowering springs?

How does financing work?

First time buyer here:

I reserved a car that is getting shipped to me soon. How does financing work?

I want to go and check it out/test drive and decide if it’s the car for me. If it is, can I go to my credit union after the test drive and pick up a check? Will they hold it for maybe a day max while I figure that out?

Or

Do I need to just come ready with a check already approved?

I don’t want a hard hit on my credit if I’m not 100% sure I’m coming home with it.

Any and all advice for a confused guy would help. Thanks!

Get new TPMS before trade in?

When I got my current aftermarket tires, they sold me the wrong TPMS sensors that don’t see the pressure and cause the light to stay on.

I’m trying to trade in my car.

Would it be worth it to get them fixed before getting the car appraised/trading in?

Water pump issues 2022+?

In the market to get a 2022+ SQ5. I’ve been reading about all of the water pump issues with these engines. Is this something to really be scared about when buying?

Seems like everyone at some point has to spend thousands for an issue that shouldn’t be. When it does get repaired is it pretty much good after that or does the problem reoccur?

Had a hardtail already and wanted a full suspension.

I had some criteria:

  1. Wanted to be able to build it
  2. Wanted to keep it cheap(enough).

Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but this thing absolutely rips.
