I just recently discovered that Jubilee has been a Vampire for ALMOST A DECADE?!

Context: I haven't read any X-men comics yet (busy with OG Fantastic 4 run), but I have played Rivals and became a fan of the game. Apparently, there was rumors going on that Jubilee would be introduced in S9 of the game as a Bloodsucking Strategist.

—At first I was conflicted as I vaguely remember her being the "fireworks girl" and thought it was an original idea yet bold deviation of her. Then I got curious and see that she's been one since the 2010s..... What.The. Hell......

— So comic Jubilee fans have always been gatekeeping this idea? Are you Jubing me?!

Wait Jubilee has been a Vampire for THAT LONG?!

(Art by me) — I was quite shocked by this revelation, so you meant to told me her supposed rumors of being a blood-sucking lifestyle was pulled straight from the *Comics and not a crazy subversion by Netease?!*

I dont read X-men comics, so I'm not too familiar with Jubilee but dang....

In Marvel Rivals, Spidey canonically experienced Shadowlands event in the comics...

Tho considered quite mediocre by DD fans, the Shadowlands arc expands the mythos behind the Hand clan's cult society and The Beast that Marvel Rivals later adapt for their unique story with Rivals DD.

In S4 of Marvel Rivals, inside his lore page. It turns out not only we explore Rivals DD's current dilemma & motives to where is now.

But the lore page itself reinforced the idea of Rivals Spidey's main timeline being deliberately written as an Alt continuation of the 616 comics. Essentially, this Spidey has already experienced his comic history, which is why he's able to immediately sympathize with the issues this DD in the same lore page.

(Its quite a cool read, I didn't expect it to be very dark in tone of what happened when further reading, but knowing this revelation made me wonder....Is Rivals Spideythe most faithful modern adaptation of the 616 comic?)

Rivals Spidey is well-aware of "The Beast" and the Shadowland event (same way in the comics)...

Context: This revelation was found in the 1st Lore page of Daredevil, where both characters from separate realities have a chat about the dilemma their currently facing. Exploring DD's motives that also ties to the future Shenloong Tournament during S8.5

—The thing that fascinates me of this story is not only the lore of this AU Daredevil, but it reinforced the idea of "Present Timeline" that Spidey resides from being an alt continuation of the 616 comics by mentioning this specific arc where Spidey appeared in.

— This is why Rivals Spidey was able to sympathize with this DD in the lore . He was aware of The Beast and its capabilities, that's why he was so disappointed with Matt's choice, for he assumed it possessed him again when further reading the page

Overall, this lore page quite says a lot of the designation of both characters, and I'm quite intrigued on how they'll develop it in future stories in Rivals.

Rivals Gambit was previously a Horseman of Apocalypse the same way as the comics.

This dialogue also reinforces the idea of the main reality \[Present Timeline\] we follow in-game and where Gambit resides from.

Being deliberately written as an adjacent future/continuation of the 616 comics. In which characters have already established their comic history & growth, but with the difference being the game takes place 2 years after the X-men prevented the 'Fall of X' incident, saving Krakoa.

(reinforced by lore pages in S1)

So I really wonder if Rivals would explore this arc of Gambit in the next season centring an another Apocalypse (or prob the main one ) and his brand new heir of Horsemen, via dialogue mentioned or a significant plot thread.

I can't believe they're the same character...

The craziest part is that they are! As it turns out that Rivals Adam resides in the game's main "Present Timeline."

Deliberately written to be alt continuation of the 616 comic where the roster resided have already established their comic book history and growth. And that development in the comics actually applies to his current character in Rivals.

Adam's whole arc in the main comics is a journey of self-discovery as he ventures a greater purpose. So, seeing him grow from an 'observant yet naive adult-child' to the ' wise compassionate Golden God' he is known for in the comics, being properly showcased in Rivals is genuinely......😢👌

Rivals Lin Lie turns out to be his 616 counterpart...

Context: In the lore pages of Marvel Rivals, it's established since S1 that the main "Present Timeline" is 616 adjacent reality, where many characters resided are deliberately written to already experienced their comic book growth up till their last appearances in 2023.

(Which both Rivals Lin Lie and Fox also reside from.)

What's your thoughts on Rivals being an alternate continuation for 616 Lin Lie's Iron Fist?

Whats your thoughts of the discovery that the F4 and Doom in Rivals are actually just their 616 counterpart/ faithful adaptation?

Context: Established in Season 1, it turns out that these characters canonically reside in a 616 adjacent future known as the "Present Timeline". The lore and dialogue in game supported that these versions have already established their history & growth the same way as their 616 counterpart.

(Up till 2023, since this during the game's early development)

I personally find it really cool that these 62 years of their comic history actually applies to these characters' motives in-game.

It's crazy how Marvel Rivals actually has the most faithful version of the F4 and Doom up to date

Context: Established since Season 1 lore , it turns out that both F4 and Doom are from an adjacent future of 616, where they're deliberately written to have already experienced their comic book history up till their last appearances in 2023.

I just realised that Rivals DD coincidentally wore the exact early outfit of Main DD as a disguise in the game's canon.

If you didn't know: Rivals DD actually resides in the in one of the 4 established reality in-game known as the 'Collapsing Timeline'. A desolate reality where Demons ran rampant on it and is where several heroes have died. and adding to that , his lore pages confirms the existence of the main DD from the "Present Timeline" (still lost in time).

We're exactly unsure of how Rivals DD experience his origin & and growth, and how it differs from the Main 616 DD, but it's just a funny detail of how he somewhat wore the exact same suit as his original counterpart during S8's story.

"Has any Marvel media actually attempted to make a faithful adaptation of 616 comics?" Marvel Rivals:

Kinda crazy to learn about it when researching these variants specifically are actually just their 616 selves. And its \*Fucking Marvel Rivals!\* (Love the game btw)

U/j (These version apparently resided in an adjacent future of 616 comics, intentionally written to have already established their comic roots & history till 2023, before diverging into an ongoing original story. Its actually reinforced by their voicelines and lore pages)

Realisation: Moon Girl in Rivals is a direct adaption to her 616 comics.

Summary : It's been established since S1 that the 'Present Timeline' we follow in Rivals is meant to be an adjacent Future of 616 comics

(With now over 33 characters in the playable roster resided, had already experienced their comic roots & history up till 2023s in-game )

I assume this is one of the reason why they didn't add her in-game model yet. Netease wanted to adapt the best version of herself along with Devil Dino. Ageing her 616 self would deviate the main appeal of her character.

(Also the comic cover is from her 2022 min- run)

I genuinely felt like they design Emma's outfit this way to emphasize her Diamond form

Looking back at these skins 7 seasons in after her selection had grown. I personally theorise that the inclusion of similar design patterns ( Shoulder Pads, Cottails, & Exposed thighs) are deliberate choices by the devs to accommodate her "Form-Switching" gimmick in a gameplay perspective:

—1.] They prob follow this philosophy in hopes that both teams from either sides are able to distinguish between her regular model and 'Diamond form' during combat ( hence, the Exposed thighs of each outfit being a good visual indicator of the transformation, especially spectating at farther distances)

–2.] The Devs initially prioritzed towards making her outfit much more sleeker in order to prevent disrupting not just the player's vision but also the model's animation when brawling in 'Diamond form' (Possibly the reason why they added Shoulder pads & Cottails, to compensate for the lack of Capes while maintaining her presence of bulk for her Vanguard status)

—3.] Her disitinct WWE motif might be used as a leeway to properly adapt her 'Diamond form' in a 3rd person POV. Especially when considering the fact she's the first Hero released in the game to priorize a 'Form-Switching' gimmick implemented in part of her neutral kit ( Thus, the devs mades sure it brings a satisfying gameplay loop, whilst also allowing fans to appreciate the beauty of her Diamond form.)

TL;DR: The Dev's design philosophy of prioritising the execution of her 'Diamond form' gimmick to each outfit in gameplay ultimately hindered the variety of unique fashion options for Emma Frost till quite recently.

If you had read this far for my speculation, T

Established since S1 Gallery cards, we found out the 'Present Timeline' we follow in game turns out to be an adjacent future of The 616 comics.

—The crazier thing is that a whopping 31/48 of the roster resided in this reality, including MK himself....

—The thing is, Devs are actually consistent on which characters are from this reality ( With most dialogue who references their comic event often came from characters who actually resided here)

—This implies that notable comic runs like his Og run, Lemire Run & potentially the Jed Mckay run applies to Rivals ..... The fact that he isn't acting like his 616 self and the fact that he doesn't fight like a brawler despite his lore in-game made me realize..... This ain't an oversight by the Netease. This is Deliberate.

_Im not too caught up with MK, but what exactly happened in the last MK run after Mckay?
