These are the old designs of my character for my indie animated show project called Darkborn, which is a sci-fi fantasy show happening in the world of Yo, a nexus where every single reality meets. It's about: A traumatized, optimistic girl leads her found family on a quest, only to discover the journey is a rebellion against a cult committing mass genocide of her species. I just came here to have some idea of what I can change about these designs so they can fit with their personality and the culture they are inspired from, and make it look more like the characters came from a technologically advanced world.

Caspian: 17 in human age, height 1.73m  He is the oldest of the seven and probably the most mature (none of them are really mature but it's okay). He is calm, wise, and composed at least that's what he wants other people to think of him. In reality, Caspian is a really repressed person that tends to keep things to himself, to hide. He thinks he deserves punishment over an event that happened a long time ago. Caspian is inspired by French culture and wears Victorian-style clothes.

Milo:  16 in human age,height1.65m  Milo is closest to Caspian. He is impulsive and quick to anger. He is very emotionally intelligent and tends to connect with people easily. He can sense when someone does not have good intentions, but he panics easily and relies on Caspian entirely for his emotional support. He's kind of a mess without Caspian and so is Caspian. The both of them can't live without each other. He is very empathetic, and kind, as long as you don't push the limit. He is supposed to be inspired by Caribbean and Hispanic culture, though he is more strongly inspired by Caribbean culture. I don't know exactly what country yet.
Minje: 16 in human age height  1.63m Minje is a tricky one. I always struggle to define her. Even now I struggle to find a voice for her because she kinda has a double personality a bit. Minje is someone who will do anything to achieve her goal anything but betray her family. She has lost everything in her life and was empty for a long time before meeting the other main characters. She was obsessed with her one goal, but now she is kinda confused on whether she should focus on her goal or stay with the main cast. She is cold to other people and uses them as toys, but with the main cast all of that disappears and she becomes someone who will tell you the blunt truth even if it hurts because she wants to see you improve. She is sarcastic, manipulative, but is extremely loyal to her people. She is inspired by Chinese culture, particularly the popular legend of Bai Suzhen or the woman with the snake.
Ivy: 15 in human age   height 1.65m age Ivy is the grumpy character of the group. She has an extremely short temper more so than Milo and my girl knows how to curse. She is pessimistic and always thinks the worst will happen, and tries to push people away. She likes to mind her own business and be left alone. But Ivy tends to understand people on a deeper level and respects all of her friends. She shows her love through action instead of words and just wants a normal life. She is inspired by Brazilian and Angolan culture.
Stitch: 14 in human age height 1.57  Stitch is very close to Ivy and has quite an opposite personality to her. She is very optimistic and thinks that as long as she hopes hard enough, things will go her way. She's adventurous, clumsy, and forgetful. She does have a strong sense of justice and always tries to do what's right, but she is extremely delusional. She believes that every negative emotion should be buried deep down into oneself and never be acknowledged, because eventually it will disappear. Stitch is someone who, despite the odds, is very intelligent. She can scan the room and know when someone is feeling down immediately, but she just refuses to acknowledge it as it will break her delusion. She often puts down other people's emotions to act as if everything is fine. She used to try and gaslight people into thinking they were fine. She is not doing this on purpose she never does she just can't deal with negative emotion in any other way. But since she's been with the group, she's been making an effort. She is inspired by Vanuatu because they are known as the happiest people in the world.
Nini:  12 in human age, height 1.51 m Nini is Ivy's younger sister and is the more quiet of the group. She is selectively mute and rarely talks, not because she's shy or anything, but because she struggles with speech and is socially awkward. She is a perfectionist, and for her there are so many ways to mess up a conversation she's scared to try. She is an artist and a very patient one. She is clever and tends to find the solution in tense situations. She is very observant and can spot almost everything. She does rely on others for emotional support, mostly her sister and her best friend Angele. (Also she is inspired by Brazilian and Angolan culture.)

Angele: 12 in human age height 1.46 m Angele is Stitch's younger sister and is very hyperactive and almost never stops talking. She is egocentric and a bit arrogant. She is a fan of everything robotic and proud of having built some very impressive stuff for someone her age. Her inventions can save lives or just be used to prank people, because she is a massive prankster. She treats robots as if they were real people because they were her first friends. She is extremely creative and eager to learn new information, but she can't quite deal with silence or being alone. She believes that as long as she makes noise or is bold and gets attention from it, she is someone that exists. But as soon as the attention is gone and that she is alone with no one else, she is no one she doesn't exist anymore, just an empty corpse. (She is inspired by Vanuatu.)

i've been working on an indie animated project for a year now, and today i'm sharing with all of you what i've accomplished.

Darkborn is a sci-fi fantasy show happening in the world of Yo, a nexus where every single reality meets. It's about: A traumatized, optimistic girl leads her found family on a quest, only to discover the journey is a rebellion against a cult committing mass genocide of her species.

I have fallen in love with this universe and characters. So let's talk about that.

THE CHARACTERS

First, Darkborn doesn't have a true protagonist. It's more of an ensemble of characters. Stitch, the optimistic girl, is the catalyst because her quest, whether she likes it or not, will change history forever.

Since I don't want to make this extremely long, I'm just going to tell you the characters' basic traits. I will make full character descriptions for all of them later.

Even if none of these characters are human, if we translate their age into human ones, they are teens. So they are all extremely immature anyway.

I know there is an audience for this cause I made a subreddit for my show and it currently has 56 members,  a bit small. 

Hey, darkling, today I want to tell you guys a bit more about my character, so here are some fun facts about my character.

Ivy: Let's start with Ivy. She is an amazing cook and canonically the best cook ever  but does not take any pride in it . That is why she is usually the one who cooks for the main cast. Ivy also eats a lot; she can eat for 12 people. That is why I imagine her to be chubby like this:https://fr.pinterest.com/pin/482870391321237859/  but she is also supposed to be strong being the strongest female character in the cast maybe something like this https://www.pinterest.com/pin/4292562141168316/  . ivy is also a bookworm a very horny one at that one which is normal for a teenager she is is a fan of a cringy book series  called my simple love story just think of all  those stereotypical y/n wattpad story it this book ivy knows the writing is ass  but she been reading the book  for so long  she just want to know  the end she also just think both the male and female lead are hot  but she read tone of  other book mainly romance sexually explicit or not and tragedies  her the name of some of the book she read:(the girl on the other side/ far beyond/ the 3 of us /smiling bunnies / fate /heart of a mother /trust). Oh, Ivy is also a fan of plushies. She has a ton of them in her bed.

stitch : stitch is Ivy close, very close, extremely close “friend” and contrary to Ivy, she is cursed with the worst cooking ever, everything she cooks becomes pure eldritch horror. I don’t have any explanation for why this happened; it's just a running gag, which is also why she's banned from ever entering the kitchen. stitch is a true gamer girl she always have her game console with her  sh had since forever  she like adventure game   and horror game  her faveroute game is  a low quality nyan cat parody  horror game the game play is ass in fact  itt so bad that stitch always laugh when she play it  it make her feel better . ..Stitch is a very sore loser. One day, Milo played a game with her, and she lost. Milo nagged her a bit about and they just spent the whole day playing against  each other to see who was best, and they ended up in a fair match, which they were not very happy about . Stitch teaches Caspian how to play a video game she also try to make Ivy join in, but she likes books better. Stitch, who want to spend more time with Ivy, started reading with her and became a huge fan of the book series, smiling bunnies cause she thinks it's a heartfelt story  she alway read it with ivy but aside from that, she doesn’t really care about reading. She and Ivy are both fans of the same singer. This will be important in the series thrust , as Ivy also occasionally joins in to play games with Stitch.

Milo : the heart of the main cast, and he and Caspian are extremely close “friends”  . He is a very good cook and enjoys cooking with Ivy. He also  loves making  his own jewelry using the term jewelry loosely here .he made the necklace minje wear and caspian ring  in return Caspian gave him a ring he found on the street  milo cherish this ring with all his soul  milo also like having his head pat by people he extremely close to like caspian or people he sees as mentor  milo is a huge fan of tv drama often binge watch series  he do like tragedies or horror which he always cries to sometime caspian join in watching the show with him  he also watch   caspian taking care of his flower  and always want to help him  he and stitch always but head  and have friendly rivalry over the pettiest thing one time they tried to have a cooking competition until  stitch remember  she can’t cook .milo is the strongest character of the main cast  and also have better  fighting technique not by much thought i should make a post  about the main cast fighting technique.  

caspian: milo’s man  he dress in  very formal victorian french aesthetic and also talk in a very formal way thought he is more casual with the main cast  he as mention before is a flower lover he probably knows about more than a thousand flower species  milo always tease him about this but he just take care of flower and think of them as real people to take care of  milo offered  him  a flower pot once he took care of it since then  he also like reading book  mainly psychological horror here the name of the book he read (the mind of another man /inside /close to the eyes /away /worm /bizare /under the skin /clowns /my daughter /in the dark) because of where he grew up  caspian can be a bit naive about the world around him especially with money he does not no the price the price of anything or even what is a small quantity of money and what a big one that why when he is out to buy thing someone always have to be with him to make sure he don’t get scam  

nini: is the quiet artist of the group  and angele bestfriend yest they are actually friend  she is also ivy younger sister nini is selectively mute and use her notebook to communicate   and only speak in rare occasion mainly with her sister or with angele  even thought she is mute she does not actually like being surrounded by silence  that a reason why she like to hangout with angele cause she talk enough for 2 people  and why she is a a big fan of kpop song  she like dancing to their song especially with ivy  she eve,  made some special costume after minje taught her how to do it  ivy don’t really like dancing to those music she find it mad embarrassing  but she do it to make nini happy  in return  nini has to help ivy in the kitchen (bonus stitch loves  seeing ivy  in her costume  nini made her) nini also love spending time with milo drawing  intricate design for his jewelry she also spend the majority  of her time  with angele design  her new robot help her build robot she spent so much time with her she learned the basic of robotic and can make some invention of her own if she pit her mind into it nini also very tidy  and sometime  argue with angele about how unorgonise she is  nini is probably the one whe do the most shore in the main cast                                                                   nini rely on other for emotional suport  especialy in situation she deos not understand  and nini have a sweettooth and often get tooth ache

angele: Nini's best friend and Stitch's little sister. Angele's main thing is  her  obsession with robotics and technology. She wants to become like her  idol, Rosa Hatvold, and honestly, she is on the right track. Most of her inventions are quite impressive and revolutionary for her young age. More impressive is that she learned all of that alone.    

from a book her obe  which is kinda like her mother figure gifted  her a book at a very young age about  robotic for beginners  stitch read the book for her  because she have some learning difficulty we talk about this later  angele start following the tutorial of the book creating her first robot than she start playing with the basic the book gave her bend the rule and creating  new thing from it she even started writing a book about every new thing she find out she still updated to this day  one day she disassemble  stitch gaming console  stitch cried for hours but next day she gave it back to stitch  she had reassemble it understood how it work and use it as basis for her invention angele is overall a very curious fella but any technological device in front of her  she will try to take it even i that mean stealing it  once she stole milo screen roll (my universe version of phone) disassemble it and reassemble it and gave it back to milo before he came to end her from what she learned she made a screen role from scratch  angele always trie to steal the main cast tchenologucal device even making plan about about it nini always join in and those shananigan angele is a big prankster  she just love causing trouble everytime she is bored or to take petty revenge  angele love learning know thing that why she know a lot of random fact  that she will sometime say randomly  angele have some insecurity like that fact that she ccan’t fly despite being way pass the age of learning she ask  ivy to teach her hw to fly  but ivy refuse saying that fly is something you need to learn by yourself  angele prank her in revenge  angele have some reading and writing problem since a young age she struggle to read long word and her writing is hard to read with spelling error stitch try to give her some writing and reading leson everynigth but angele get easily disracted sometime the whole group have to join in to help them abgele feel very embarrass  because of this . Angele is very close to Caspian and sees him as an older brother. She likes spending time with him. Caspian sometimes uses his telekinesis to make Angele levitate in the air. Angele loves it much to stitch dismay as she feels caspian is stealing her little sister from her, and they always have some petty argument about this. Angele is the shortest character at 1.46 meter and Caspian is the tallest at 1.73 m

minje: is the closest to milo and caspian as they use  to be a trio of homeless kid  before meeting  the others. she was kind of the leader of the group cause she took the important decision after they meet the other she step down from that role after joining the group minje is a specialist of anything cloth related she love knitting in particular once she made a plushy for ivy to thank her for letting her milo and caspian joining the group   she also made traditional cloth for the cast to celebrate luminas she also love poetry but only comfortable showing it to caspian and milo she struggle understanding other emotion  and can sometime be direct addressing thing that why she asked milo to help her with those issue and since then he gave her lesson about emotion she like spending time with nini and angele as she believe she must be an exemple to anyone she views as kid and geuniualy kinder to them she like ragebaiting ivy it her faveroute hobby she like pushing on ivy nerve just for entertainment  but never push to hard she also the one managing the main cast money and will start a fight and argue witha shop owner to try making thing cheaper if the price is to expensive ivy sometime join her she resort to stealing on some occasion depending on the situation the main cast support her and they will just run away as fats possible to their ship and leave the city.

Personality

So let's start with Ivy. Ivy is the grumpiest character of the group. She is extremely reserved and tends to keep most things to herself. She only shares things with people close to her. She mostly minds her own business and tries to stay out of the spotlight as much as she can; she prefers to be unnoticed.

One thing I find funny about her is that she hates drastic change in her life and can be extremely bitter about it. That, and the fact that she is extremely nonchalant. She doesn't need much to be happy in her life. She is humble and cares deeply about her friends.

She also tends to understand people on a deeper level and likes emotional honesty, but that doesn't change the fact that Ivy has an extremely short temper and can get irritated very easily. She also curses a lot and pushes people away from her. She is pessimistic and always thinks of the worst.

She cares about her friends and respects them, except Minje; the two of them always fight. While they don't hate each other, they have a frenemy-type relationship.

She has self-loathing. She hates her appearance; she thinks she is a monster. One thing that is important is that Ivy wears an eyepatch over her right eye." She is scared of it, scared that the eyepatch might come off one day.

Fun fact: Ivy is canonically the best cook ever, but she does not take pride in it. She also eats a lot, so she can eat food for like 12 people and still be hungry. . Originally, Ivy was supposed to be my persona, but I quickly changed my mind and made her her own character. She is still loosely based on me . She is also supposed to be inspired by Angola and Brazil. Yeah, she is black i know it is not very obvious looking at the drawing  (still working on the cultural inspiration; need to do research) she will be redesign. Esses são designs antigos, e agora quero redesenhá-las. Elas devem ser baseadas nas culturas brasileira e angolana, então sim, elas são negras. Sei que é difícil perceber sem colorir.

Ivy:
Ivy é a personagem mal-humorada do grupo. Ela tem um temperamento extremamente curto – mais do que o Milo – e sabe xingar bastante. Ela é pessimista e sempre acha que o pior vai acontecer, e tenta afastar as pessoas. Gosta de cuidar da própria vida e ser deixada em paz. Mas Ivy tende a entender as pessoas em um nível mais profundo e respeita todos os seus amigos. Ela demonstra seu amor através de ações em vez de palavras e só quer uma vida normal.

Nini:
Nini é a irmã mais nova de Ivy e a mais quieta do grupo. Ela é seletivamente muda e raramente fala, não por timidez, mas porque tem dificuldades com a fala e é socialmente desajeitada. Ela é perfeccionista e, para ela, existem tantas maneiras de estragar uma conversa que ela tem medo de tentar. Ela é artista e muito paciente. É inteligente e tende a encontrar soluções em situações tensas. É muito observadora e consegue perceber quase tudo. Ela se apoia emocionalmente nos outros, principalmente em sua irmã e em sua melhor amiga, Angele.

Nini é a irmã de Ivy e sua melhor amiga, Angele. Em relação às paletas de cores:
Imagino que a Hera Venenosa tenha tons de azul e roxo, principalmente porque seu poder gira em torno de portais e teletransporte.

A paleta de cores da Nini é predominantemente violeta com rosa.

sculpting the body was never something hard for me . I find it quite easy. It is just the face, all the faces I even sculpted look hideous.

In my AU, the CPF was created to protect Countryhumans from any political attack made by humans. It was created after an accident that happened in the 1950s, where attacks toward Countryhumans became more rapid. Its founder, Thomas Mollers (1920–1993), decided to isolate the Countryhumans from the human population, thus creating the CPF.

One of the major things he did was creating the Block which is an immense building that is basically a mini-town for Countryhumans, with good living conditions, entertainment, and a big outside garden. Each Countryhuman has their own 120m² (or 1290 sq ft) apartment. The Block even has some training rooms where Countryhumans can develop their fighting skills.

To get inside the Block if you are a Countryhuman, you just need to make sure you don't lose your special card. If you do lose it, you would need to get yourself a new one, which can be tricky at times. For humans, you need special permission.

In my AU, every Countryhuman works at the UN department, and they must clock in every weekday to work from 8 AM to 6 PM. If a Countryhuman wants to get out of the Block for any reason other than work, they must ask special permission from the CPF.

The Block is also secured by a troop of 1200 to 1500 guards, 24/7, to assure maximum security.

Countryhumans also have a human form they use as a disguise every time they get out of the Block. They also must be accompanied by a troop of 2 guards.

After Thomas Mollers' assassination on the 1st of April 1993, it was his son John Mollers who took his place.

These are old designs, and now I want to redesign them. They are supposed to be based on both Brazilian and Angolan culture, so yes, they are Black. I know it's hard to tell without coloring.

For their color palettes:
I imagine Ivy having blue and purple colors, mostly because her power revolves around portals and teleportation.
Nini's color palette is mostly violet with pink.

This character is my oc she is named Stitch .

Listen, as someone who has been in the animation meme community back in 2020, I basically grew up with them, and I adore them so much. They inspired me to become a 3D artist, they inspired me to become a writer and an indie show creator to make my own show with my OC, and I still go back to this day to watch some of the most iconic memes I grew up with, like the villain meme or the solo meme. And it absolutely saddened me to see some people making a video saying that x video is super cringe when it's literally just characters bopping up and down and maybe doing a little dance move. Like, how the fuck is this cringe? Don't you have joy in your life? It's the most basic thing ever. I've seen worse. Or maybe the animation meme was about a ship, and listen, shipping is the most BASIC thing ever. You will never see a fandom without shipping.
