SyncThing: I'm having trouble trying to get it set up on both my Bazzite PC and my Steam Deck for my Emudeck games. Has anyone managed to get it working on their SD and Linux desktops?

I want to be able tonuse this Syncthing so I can be able to have my Bazzite PC, Steam Deck, and possibly the Steam Machine share my emulated game saves through a cloud. But I'm having a tough time trying to get it set up.

Here are the steps I took so far:

  1. On Deckyloader, I downloaded the Syncthing plugin on both my PC and Deck
  2. I went to desktop, downloaded and ran Syncthingy on both. I made sure to click on the widget in the bottom right and click to let it install before copying and pasting the line of code in the terminal and running.
  3. I went back to my synthing plugin on both devices, chose symcthingy as my method, and the plugins seemed to successfully load.
  4. On my Bazzite web api, I created a PS2 folder directory with the folder name as emuSync, the group folder as EmuSyncGroup, and the directory being in my emulation/saves/pcsx2/saves folder before saving.

I think I did a few other additional steps, but I forgot what they were. When I try reading or watching all the various instructions, they seem to tend to diverge from what I specifically need.

For those who use the SyncThingy method for emudeck on a Steam Deck and Linux desktop, what are all the exact steps I should take (start to finish, preferably)

Does the EmuSync cloud save plugin work at all on Bazzite? I can't seem to get it to work like it somewhat did on my Steam Deck.

While I'm currently am looking to get SyncThing to work, I once tried to use EmuSync since it apparently is a more streamlined way to get Emudeck-emulated games to share cloud saves between devices. https://github.com/emu-sync/EmuSync . I clicked on the Linux installer download link that's in the installation section, double clicked on it in the downloads, and had it set up. Unfortunately, the agents weren't being read. Here are two pictures:

When I tried this on my Steam deck, they seemed to actually be recognized. Which makes me wonder why it didn't work on Bazzite. Is it because it's an immutable OS (but even if that were the case, isn't the SD also immutable?)? Or do I need to do something more specific?

Has anyone ever tried to get emusync to work on Bazzite? I hope there's a way because Syncthing has been rather troublesome to get working.

Is it possible to change the icons on the bottom right?

https://preview.redd.it/kqn9lh0p1a2h1.png?width=2560&format=png&auto=webp&s=ce9910b26e27f1901fef2355a218d5c47aad72c0

After installing syncthingy, I notice that it clashes with the grayed icons. Rather than uninstall my recent widget (is that what they're called), I wonder if it's possible to replace the other icons with more colorful ones of my choice. Is it possible? If so, how do I do it? I'd be grateful for insight 😄

Does Syncthing work for Emudeck on Bazzite? I hope to have cloud saves for my emulators on both my Bazzite PC and Steam Deck.

For those unfamiliar, Syncthing is supposed to give people the option to have cloud saves for non-Steam games. I wish to use a feature like this for my emulated games on my Steam Deck and Bazzite PC. Does Syncthing work for Bazzite? How easy is it to set up?

RPCS3 help: can't add non-steam game when I click to "manage game" (the parser also won't recognize my .iso)

I have the PS3 version of "The Simpsons Game" on my RPCS3. It's in my emulation/roms/ps3 folder. The .iso is recognized in my emulator and boots up. However, the parser in the emudeck app doesn't seem to recognize the game. I also can't seem to create a steam game shortcut from the RPCS3 emulator as it's faded out (I can't shut down Steam because I access the emulator through it).

Any insight as to what I must do?

How do I close this small scroll menu on the top left corner of my Dolphin folder?

The top left where it starts above \"Red Dad Rede...\"

I had a small incident where I caused something to fall on my desk and I got startled. The next thing I saw was this weird file scroll menu on the top left corner. I must have hit a button or clicked on something. I'm unsure how to get rid of that scroll menu. Any ideas? I'd be grateful.

P.S. I use Bazzite

Thoughts on Emu-Sync? How does it compare to Syncthing?

While I initially looked into moving rom save files onto external storage devices like SD cards (so I may easily access my saves from either my Bazzite PC, Steam Deck, and hopefully eventual Steam Machine), I recently found out about using cloud syncing. I've heard of two examples: EmuSync and Syncthing. (Here's the link to the farmer's github https://github.com/emu-sync/EmuSync)

I'm inclined to try out the former since, well, it seems more in line with emudeck. But I need more insight. What are your thoughts on EmuSync? How does it compare to Syncthing?

Is it possible to relocate dolphin and other emulator saves/memory cards to a SD card? I hope to be able to switch between my Deck, PC and upcoming Steam Machine. (I use emudeck)

I've revently been working on trying to get my roms and saved games onto an external storage via an SD card. My wish is to be able to easily switch between my Steam Deck, Bazzite PC, and the Steam Machine and play my games (I used emudeck).

From my understanding, certain save folders are located outside of /emulation. For instance, Dolphin memory cards are stored in

/home/deck/.var/app/.org.DolphinEmu.dolphin-emu/data/dolphin-emu/GC/USA/Card A

Does anyone know if and how saved games can be stored and access on an SD card?

How do I find a 60hz version of Luigi's Mansion (GCN)? (Or if I have to patch it, how to I find said patch and how do I patch my rom?)

I could have sworn I once found a 60hz version of Luigi's Mansion (the rom itself titled: "Luigi's Mansion (Europe) (Rev 1) (60hz) (v1.0) (Maeson)"). This was done on my PC. Now, I wish to do the same with my Steam Deck. However, I cannot seem to recall how I found it in the first place (I also tried dragging and dropping from my PC"s external hard drive to my Deck's SD card, but for some reason, the game just crashes on my device).

Any ideas on how I can find a 60hz rom version? Or if I have to patch it, how do I find said patch, which rom version do I need, and how do I patch it in dolphin?

(I need the file to read as either : Luigi's Mansion (Europe) (60hz) (v1.0) (Maeson)

or

Luigi's Mansion (Europe) (Rev 1) (60hz) (v1.0) (Maeson)

)

Weird Steam Deck issue: even though I get unlock notifications when playing, they don't update or unlock on the RA site

While I don't have any issues playing on my Bazzite PC, I've been having problems whenever I try playing on my Steam Deck. At least with playing Dolphin (Gamecube/Wii) that is as I haven't tried this on other emulators.

Like, when I play Zelda: The Wind Waker, I see ahicevement pop ups when I accomplish specific tasks. But when I search online, they remain grayed out.

I'm unsure why I'm having this issue even though I logged into my RA account on my emulator and I don't have this problem on my PC.

Any insight as to what I'm missing and what must be done? I'd be grateful. :)

Nerd question: is it fair to say some console menu ambience (GameCube, PS2, PS4, erc.) is perfectly serviceable as meditation music?

Some video game systems in the past had rather calming ambience on their dashboards, and it makes me wonder if they are perfect for meditstion.

Examples include:

GameCube https://youtu.be/OUHJUJkbv-k?si=GSSlW5hwBt1I2qEz

Playstation 2 https://youtu.be/Cxk1gI2sg3w?si=Dhk1S220eK5STNVr

Playstation 4 https://youtu.be/90loC2vrYM4?si=LiOV\_6shOWutEDry

What's your opinion?

What's the easiest way to transfer roms and saves from one external storage hard drive to another external hard drive?

I currently have my emulation stored on my 500GB drive. I recently got a 2TB one that I wish to use for emulation instead. Now, when I go onto emudeck and click on migrate installation, it looks like I can select a new destination.

If you don't mind me asking, what's your insight?

Dumb question: is it harmful to view and use meditation as telling the stressful world to go away?

Mant times, I just am exhausted of life itself, sometimes even hating existence. When I successfully enter a meditative state, it feels like a relief, as if the world went away temporarily (makes me wish I could stay there forever). It makes me wonder if it's alright or harmful to view meditation as a way to tell the world to begone.

Steam Rom Manager not opening properly anymore. It just shows a gray box

https://preview.redd.it/1jqmkbrqcb0h1.png?width=2560&format=png&auto=webp&s=7e8db6112bbee8ba6fba33ccb427a69c0ae5a602

For some reason, my Steam Rom Manager isn't working properly anymore. Even if I exit Steam beforehand, it still shows this gray box. If I try clicking anyway, it simply has an error message with a prompt to terminate it. If I leave it be, it automatically goes away.

What gives?

Edit: Never mind. I simply hit reinstall/update
