Hearing palpitations

Since we can hear our heartbeat I wanted to know if anyone ever heard their heart during a palpitation . I just did for the first time and it was so wonky lol. Usually it’s just a whoosh , whoosh, but this time it was like beat beat, beat beat, then back to whoosh, whoosh. Lol

Do fajas count as compression garments for abdomen?

I have an issue with low stroke volume and preload issues and because of that I get weird sinking feelings in my chest when I have postural changes or transition into exercise, and I saw online that abdominal compression can help with that. I don’t mind trying. I just don’t want to look boxy and it can be seen under my clothes if I wear something tight so I’m wondering if there’s anything that looks like a waist trainer or something like that. And I was thinking about a Faja because I know after surgeries women wear that to compress to help with recovery so I was thinking maybe that would be good enough for my compression, but I don’t know if it works differently for people with pots. If anyone has good recommendations, I’d appreciate it. I’m trying to look for something that doesn’t have the legs. I just want the abdomen compressed. I don’t mind straps either.

Sternum rush sensation

does anyone experience a weird pressure like feeling in their sternum deep in their chest when switching positions or initiating exercise? it feels like a weird rush and also pressure and the best way to put it is I feel like my heart loses its blood for a second and it always happens during postural changes mostly and sometimes if I go to fast with exercising instead of easing into it .. it feels as if my heart is hollow and then it subsides but it’s unnerving

Has anyone had the 24 hr impedance testing while also having enlarged tonsils ? Did it make insertion or the experience harder? Did they turn you away? Thank you

I’m 25 female and I’m always having heart attack symptoms, jaw, pain, arm, pain, chest pain, back pain indigestion. I’ve been to the ER so many times and they don’t care. They just do what they have to do at that moment and send me away. Nobody is telling me how to manage anything and my cardiologist is dragging her feet and this is my third cardiologist I’m getting so depressed and anxious and I don’t know what to do. They told me to trust the statistics of my age group having heart attacks, but then I see stories on here that people my age even younger had a heart attack so how am I supposed to stay safe in that fact it’s a stressful time for me to go to the ER every time, especially when I faint for bloodwork I don’t know what to do.

I’ve been taking Ativan as needed 1-2 times a week for months and the last two times I’ve noticed the dose hasn’t really felt the same and then when it wears off, I get an increase of heart rate posturally just for a few hours after it wears off and it goes away, but the increase in heart rate is more just postural because I have pots, but I feel like it makes the spikes worse and I also feel like the night after it wears off I can’t sleep and I tried so hard to keep it controlled so that I don’t become addicted and have withdrawal and I’m not addicted because I feel fine without it and I refuse it multiple times if I know that I’ve taken it past two or three times a week so I don’t know what to do because it was my only solution and I’m afraid that I’m experiencing rebound effect since my body is building a tolerance to it so I’m not sure where to go from here. I definitely do still need it for bloodwork and procedures or else I faint, but I don’t know if I can still use it for acute anxiety attacks anymore. Do I take a break and then it’ll be better or no? I don’t want to become addicted and I do t want to keep having these symptoms of insomnia and increase in hr

I was told nj Medicaid horizon was better than all other option.. WRONG! They deny every single test I need! United healthcare approved everything as I’m chronically ill! I’m tired of this

I received my first abnormal result for a cardiopulmonary stress test. The interpretation said my lungs were great, but my heart struggles during exercise and now I’m freaking out and my doctors are not taking me serious. My cardiologist has been dragging her feet as I’ve been symptomatic and obviously having terrible anxiety, and I don’t know what to do. I’m just scared and I’ve been crying and I’m tired. If anyone is available to give me some comfort, I’d appreciate it thank you.

The patient exercised on a bicycle ergometer via the ramp protocol for a total of 7 mins at 15W per min. The test was stopped due to leg fatigue. A VO2 max of 13.4 ml/kg/min was achieved. This was 56% of the patient's predicted (>85% normal). The anaerobic threshold (AT) was achieved at 0.9L/min which was 56% of the predicted (>40% normal). Based on the VO2 max and the AT this patient does appear to have an exercise work limitation. During the CPET and the recovery period, there were no EKG changes consistent with coronary ischemia. There were no arrhythmias. Blood pressure response was appropriate. Heart rate at rest was 102. Maximum heart rate during exercise was 181 which is 94% of the patient's predicted maximum. Based on the maximum heart rate, this was an Adequate study. The VO2/HR, also known as the O2 pulse, and a surrogate for stroke volume was abnormal at VO2 max. The heart rate reserve was 14 bpm normal (<15 bpm normal). Based on the above data, there were cardiac limitation to exercise. The patient's maximum voluntary ventilation (MVV) was 134L, 124% predicted. The respiratory rate at rest was 16. The maximum respiratory rate during the CPET was 24 (<60 bpm normal). The breathing reserve was calculated to be 73% (>30% normal). A VE max of 27 L/M was achieved. VE/VCO2 at anaerobic threshold was 27 (<34 normal). The patient's oxygen saturation at rest was 98% and while exercising the lowest recorded SaO2 was 96%. Vd/Vt did not fall appropriately indicating that the patient was not able to recruit additional pulmonary vasculature. Pre-CPET spirometry revealed an FEV1 of 2.87 L and an FVC of 3.22 L. Post-CPET spirometry the lowest FEV1 was 2.87 L and FVC was 3.23 L. This was a 0% and 0% respective change from pre-test results and was not significant. Based on the data, this patient did not have a respiratory or a ventilation-perfusion limitation to exercise. Impression: Cardiac/circulatory exercise work limitation Discussion: A cardiopulmonary exercise stress test was ordered for ***** by **** and **** for the evaluation of chronic dyspnea. The patient does have a significant exercise work limitation w/ VO2 max/kg at just 56% predicted. While there were no arrhythmias noted, there is significant evidence of cardiac work limitation. The O2 pulse, which is a surrogate for stroke volume, was markedly reduced at 6.4 mL per beat just 60% of predicted. This suggests a defect in augmenting stroke volume during exercise. Notably, the ventilatory portion of the study shows an elevated MVV at 124% predicted and a high breathing reserve at 73% predicted suggesting ventilatory capacity was not a limiting factor in her work limitation. Also of note, while the Vd/Vt is estimated and not directly measured, the inability to increase estimated Vd/Vt may also suggest pulmonary vascular abnormalities contributing to her significant exercise work limitation.

I’m freaking out! I’m only 25 what does this mean
