What’s a Boro opinion you’ve completely changed your mind on?
At the time I was convinced I had it right, but looking back, football definitely proved me wrong. Could be a player, manager, signing or even a decision that you saw completely differently after a few months. Always interesting seeing how opinions change once you’ve had a bit more time to judge it properly.
Who do you reckon could surprise us this season?
With so many new faces around the squad, there’s bound to be someone who comes out of nowhere and has a massive season. Could be a new signing, a younger player getting more minutes, or even someone who hasn’t had much attention so far.
When finishing the field suddenly becomes more important than everything else 😂
Which Champions League team always looks better on paper than they actually play?
On paper, they’ve got the players, the depth and the big names, but watching them in Europe feels like a completely different story. Some teams just never seem to click when the pressure goes up.
Are we stronger than we were at the start of last season?
The squad feels a bit more settled this time around, but there are still a couple of areas that could worry me. Some of the new additions look promising, while a few positions still feel like they need more depth. Would be good to hear how everyone’s seeing the squad compared with last season.
Do you check the reviews before booking a bag?
I’ve started checking the reviews before booking, especially if it’s somewhere I haven’t tried before. Some places look great on the app, but the reviews give you a much better idea of what people are actually getting. I still like a bit of a surprise though, so I don’t read every single one.
Enzo Maresca's all-time five-a-side picks are finally here.
Which transfer are you most proud of, not because it scored points, but because you trusted your own judgement?
Sometimes the most satisfying moves aren't the obvious bandwagons. They're the transfers where everyone around you was going in another direction, but you backed your own reasoning and it worked out. What's the move that made you think, I'm glad I ignored the noise?
What's one quality you think every successful Boro manager has needed, regardless of the era?
Football has changed massively over the years, but I sometimes wonder whether there's one characteristic that always seems to matter at Middlesbrough. It could be communication, patience, tactical flexibility, understanding the supporters or something else entirely. Looking back across different managers, what quality stands out?
Which Ipswich season do you think deserves more appreciation than it usually gets?
Some seasons are remembered forever because of trophies or promotions. But there are others that quietly become important for different reasons, maybe because of a breakthrough player, a memorable cup run or because they laid the foundations for what came later. Which season do you think doesn't get talked about enough?
At what point during a Leeds match do you allow yourself to believe we're actually going to win?
Two goals up should theoretically be enough to sit back and enjoy the football. Supporting Leeds has somehow taught me otherwise. I don't care how comfortable the game looks, there's always a small part of me waiting for something ridiculous to happen until we're basically into stoppage time. Are there people here who can genuinely relax once Leeds take control of a game, or have we all been conditioned to expect chaos until the final whistle?
What part of Fulham's identity do you hope never changes no matter how successful the club becomes?
There's always a lot of conversation about wanting the club to push higher, compete for more and keep progressing, which obviously everyone wants. But Fulham also has a particular feel that would be easy to lose if everything became bigger and more commercial. For me, there's something about Craven Cottage and the whole matchday experience that still feels different from a lot of Premier League clubs.
If Fulham became significantly more successful over the next decade, what's the one part of the club you'd desperately want to remain exactly as it is?
Which Champions League performance still stands out as the most complete team display you've ever watched?
Not necessarily the best result, but a match where one team looked almost flawless from start to finish. Which game comes to mind?
