Just finished the movie and I was really surprised by the reactions to this sequence (MEGA SPOILERS)

For those who have seen the movie, I’m talking about the Grogu in the swamp sequence. With Din poisoned and dying, we see as Grogu cares for him day after day, building him a shelter, bringing him water, and staying by his side to make sure he’s safe. The sequence ends when Grogu meets the creature in the woods, who gives him the antidote for the poison but warns him that it might be too late. Grogu gives him the antidote, and snuggles next to him, waking up to see Din recovered.

I loved this sequence, it’s really the emotional core of the movie and shows how much Grogu has grown from being helpless and needing to be saved constantly to taking care of his father. But almost every single review has said this part is bad? And the movie has no development? Like I just don’t get that.

Anyone else kinda sad we don't have a Battlefront game to celebrate the new movie with?

I mean think about it, every single modern movie has been accompanied with a map/content release for the Battlefront games. Jakku and Scariff for Battlefront 2015, followed by the Crait, Kessel, and Ajan Kloss in Battlefront 2 2017. Its kinda sad, cause I could imagine a Nal Hutta map with Din Djarin and Embo as hero and villain, but there is no modern Battlefront game active for them to be added to. Just something that kinda makes me sad, ya know?

How it feels seeing the critic reviews of The Mandalorian and Grogu knowing they won’t effect my opinion but mean I will need to see more “Star Wars is dead” posts

Literally the only reason I followed these reviews man

Why did the Mandalorian and Grogu kill the Jedi? Are they stupid?

And in the perfect range for it to either be the best Star Wars movie ever or have killed the franchise permanently depending on which gets you more YouTube revenue!

According to Andrew Salazar (discussing films reviewer) the visuals of Mandalorian and Grogu match those of previous movies

"The Mandalorian and Grogu" previews have stated that it is a fun movie for families and children. This is a reference to the fact that it is a horrible Star Wars film because Star Wars fans do not have fun nor do they have families or children.

Outjerked by whatever the hell this comment is

Reviewers: "This is a fun movie to watch you family for the summer!"

EckhartsLadder: “disabled children!”

Star Wars Circlejerk users seeing positive reactions to the Mandalorian and Grogu being not demanding Dave Filonu and Jon Favreau to be tarred and feathered in the public square

You are just not allowed to post anything positive on the main sub without getting accused of something

Early reactions have come back from The Mandalorian and Grogu and it’s pretty positive!

Very good news, overall the general consensus is that it’s fun. The visuals are mostly complimented, though some say it’s does look like a high budget show (though not overtly negative, which is good). I’ve also mostly seen positive reactions to the story, mostly sounds like it’s more character driven/intimate which I think is good for the Mandalorian considering one of its best parts is the relationship between Din and Grogu. There has been some criticism, but overall I’d say it sounds like at least a solid 7/10 from the early reactions.

Honestly, Vader probably did the right thing here. This nurse is already crazy enough to collect his medical waste, and now she's breaking into his room. Give her a few more days and she might plan to do things to him while he's unconscious in the bacta tank.

How DARE he mention the great GEORGE LUCAS, doesn't he know that his "canon" goes against George's vision, which is actually a bunch of books he didn't write and never read and frequently retconned and contradicted??????????

In the soundtrack of The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026), very little of the movie is revealed. This is a reference to modern directors having no balls.
