So, how excited are we for Beast of Reincarnation??!

Simple question…. I don’t see too many people talking about this game, so I’m just kind of curious to see where people win in terms of excitement!

Me personally?? I’m honestly impressed with how good this game looks the more I see it …. Cause if you would ask me a few months ago, I would’ve said I wasn’t interested , but this is seriously a game that looks better and better than more you see!!

Now I can confidently say that not only in my excited to play it, but it’s this really could end up being one of the surprise hits of this year for end up delivering on all it’s promising! Let’s hope they manage to do it

But how about you?? How excited are you for beast of reincarnation??

I hope Rayman Legends Retold sells well, so we can get NEW Rayman!

Ok…. I understand we’re all tired of remakes and remasters to a degree! Hell, I am too…

But let’s not pretend that Ubisoft isn’t releasing this to test the waters for how a new Rayman game (2D platformer or even 4?!) would look like

So I’m praying that this game manages to sell the copies that it needs ….. outside of the fact I think it looks really good (genuinely) I’ll definitely be buying it to show them that we actually DOOO want new Rayman!

Is this good performance for a 1.6k game review channel??

This is my latest video. I put out a few weeks ago and while it’s doing OK in the grand scheme, it’s definitely performing worse than I expected.

It’s not the end of the world and I’m currently working on my next video ….. but I don’t know, is this video under performing or is this sort of in the good zone for a channel of my side should be?? And if it is under performing (barring thumbnail, I know I’m working on it) is there anything wrong with the video itself? Script, audio, etc…

What’s your most anticipated game for the second half of 2026?

Well, just figured we’re about halfway through the year by now….

What game are you most looking forward to in the second half of the year??

For me? It’s Wolverine, Control Resonant, Blood of DAWNWALKER, and Hellraiser Revival

u/TheGamerCritic21 — 1 month ago

Genuine Question, What are your thoughts on FF7 Rebirth in 2026??

I only ask because ever since expedition 33 came out. I see so many people use that game as a reason to trash on rebirth… saying that that’s the RPG that square should’ve been making

Which, even then I don’t entirely understand because square has made turn based RPG’s (look at Octopath) but my point is… I’m kind of curious to see what the consensus on rebirth is now that it’s been out for two years now and with revelation coming out next year (HYPED!)

At once, I remember people loving the hell out of it, but now I’m not entirely sure

Me personally I think it’s one of the best games of this decade so far, and easily my game of the year 2024. It takes remake and improves on it and just about every way, with a absolutely packed and massive open world, stellar presentation, one of the best soundtracks of this decade, and the perfect balance of turn base in real time gameplay! 🔥✨

Did I actually VA well or did this reel blow up cause of smut?!

I know just hear me out ok??

First context, I was at AX2026! And they had a VA booth for a anime, naturally I did it with a push from one of my friends…only to find out upon further research it’s actually the type of….NSFW anime’s (you know the ones….)

Don’t get me wrong, this made it funny af! But my friend also convinced me to post this on my Instagram into my complete surprise…. This blew up surprisingly well (13k likes, 10k shares, etc….) it’s just now I’m getting in my head about this a lot.

On one hand, half of the comments are legitimately very nice….. but then the other half I really just cracking jokes because of the smut of it all (which again is funny 😂) but I guess I just wanna know is this doing well because I did well or just because of the content of the anime. I genuinely want to know so I can gauge how much I need to improve, and how much of the praise people have been given me on Instagram has been false.

I posted the reel from my Instagram here, but I’m not sure if I’m allowed so I’ll delete it if I have to. Anyway, please let me know.

1.6k subs and still have videos perform like this…

It just really sucks when you put a lot of time and effort into a video that you think is gonna do as well as your, and kind of hoping to, but just ends up….not….

I know it’s not the end of the world , I know these numbers for my size aren’t that awful, and I even know that there’s a chance I’ll be like my other videos and get traction later on.

I’m just wondering what went wrong with this one? Thumbnail, title, audio, script?? It’s just frustrating

u/TheGamerCritic21 — 1 month ago

Why do similar videos with similar looks perform worse or better than others??

A few days ago I posted about my underperforming Arkham video (thanks again for all the advice btw!) but It got me wondering…

I’ve heard a lot that my thumbnail and title are the problem, and they very well could be (I’m sure they don’t help) But if that’s the case, why have my other reviews of older games performed so much better despite having a similar style?

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy — 17K views
Alien: Isolation — 6.1K views
Batman: Arkham Asylum — 730 views

So what do you think? Is this still just a packaging issue, or is there something else about the topic, timing, or audience that’s hurting the Arkham video?

u/TheGamerCritic21 — 1 month ago

You hate to see a video with so much time put in it perform so poorly….

I put a lot of time into this video and while it’s doing better than some of my other videos in this style, compared to many other successful videos, I released this year…. It’s safe to call this one a failure (and this was the one I really wanted to be a success)

What could’ve gone wrong with this? I’m sure the thumbnail and title didn’t help, but is the video itself the problem? Audio, script, the gameplay??

Ok, what’s your least favorite part about Arkham Asylum??

I love Arkham Asylum, seriously with a passion and it’s still one of the best superhero games you can find!

With that said….while I disagree with folk who says it’s BAD! I do believe some aspects of it don’t hold up as well (which is to be expected for a 17 year old games)

So I’m just curious, what’s your least favorite part about arkham asylum?? For me, it’s the bosses. Going back, I realized that barring scarecrow, this game has a shockingly little amount of bosses and those bosses aren’t even that good most of the time…I

How about you?? What’s your least favorite part of Arkham Asylum??

Do game retrospective tend to better with time??

I recently released a retrospective on Batman Arkham asylum, and right now it’s not getting the numbers I would’ve hoped, especially when compared to my other retrospectives which are still getting views today

I’m not trying to get too discouraged, cause I know retrospective contend to do better overtime because they’re in Evergreen concept . Are you able to look at the views and number numbers that you have and determine if it’s gonna do better with time or not?

My videos is currently not getting good numbers , it’s only at close to 300 views with 3.6 K impressions and slowly going up…. Which is pretty bad.

I don’t know. Is there a chance this video should do better or should I just cut my losses?

I need genuine and harsh feedback on my latest Retrospective

I recently made a retrospective on Batman Arkham Asylum! It’s not the first time I’ve done it these type of retrospective and normally based off the two I’ve done they do pretty well

However, this one has 225 views after 2.6 K impressions ….. which is safe to call a failure after one day

Now there is a chance because this topping is older and always going, it could stand a test of time better but I’m not counting on

I really need to know what I did wrong in this video , if anybody would be willing to give me some genuine heart feedback, I would greatly appreciate it! Link to video is in my bio, I’d post here, but I don’t think I’m allowed

My video failed again, and I need to know why!

I just released a video that took me a year to make…. Normally, my other retrospectives do relatively well. But this one after two days only has 225 views 2.6 K impressions.

Now, of course, and maybe early to call because both of my alien isolation retrospective, and my guardians of the Galaxy retrospective better and better as time went on

But my outlook is not very likely with this one and it’s a real bummer cause I put my all into this Batman: Arkham Asylum Review. I need to figure out what went wrong so I can’t make the same mistake again.

Please, any help would be so greatly appreciated!

17 years later…How well does Batman: Arkham Asylum hold up??

Pretty straightforward question…

I replayed this after talking to some people who weren’t very positive on it, and now I’m curious what everyone else thinks.

Me personally? I’m still impressed by how well this game holds up. For a 2009 game, the combat still feels great, and I still think it has the best atmosphere in the entire Arkham series. It’s the closest any of the games came to feeling like a horror game, which is SICK!

Sometimes you need to replay a game to remember why you loved it in the first place, and this game definitely has issues, but man ….I’m really glad I went back to Arkham Asylum, it honestly just makes me more excited to go through the rest of the series

But how about you?? How do you feel about Arkham Asylum? Does it hold up??

Do any of you wonder why some videos do as well as they do??

Oh no, I’ve just been looking back at some of my old gaming videos, like a review I made on alien isolation

That did surprisingly well at the time, even pulls in a few people and get a few likes and subscribers

And yet when I go back and watch it, I cringe SO HARD!! 😂😂

It’s not just this video either. It’s many others not all of them, but definitely a few. I guess my question is does anyone else get this feeling? Do any of you go back and watch your stuff and just wonder how it did as well as he did??

I love Expedition 33, but it DIDN’T save turn based RPG’s

Look man….i think Clair Obscur is a really great game m, and if you think it did save it fair enough. But I just believe that we aren’t being honest with the whole “it saved the genre” nonsense cause that’s just not true in the slightest. It’s worse at this conversation is still going on all this time after it came out

  1. This genre was never dead…ever, you could make an argument that maybe it had a quick boost in popularity cause of it but even then they were already popular and successful.

  2. There have been several great term based RPG’s that came out in this decade alone, that are pretty damn fantastic…

  3. Sea of stars

  4. Metaphor Refantazio

  5. Shin Megami Tensai

  6. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

OCTOPATH traveler 1-2
Baldurs Gate 3
Wasteland 3
Persona 3 Relaod and Persona 5 Royal
And more…

And these are just from this decade (2020 - now) and I’m sure I’m missing a few. All cherished, respected, awarded, and just damn GREAT turn based RPGS

Clair Obscur is truly great! But to imply it saved a genre that was never dead and still quite popular is disingenuous to me.

How about you?? Do you agree??

If you played, did REANIMAL live up to the hype??

It’s been about 3 months since this gane dropped and I kinda wanna see where everyone lies??

For me?? It gave me just about exactly what I expected…it gave off the same creepy vibes that LN did but WORSE. It looks amazing, sounded amazing, and had a really great story! I would have liked it if it was a little longer but it as a whole? Damn good time

But how about you?? Did REANIMAL live up to hype for you??

How is Crimson Deserts world empty???

I consider myself a pretty nuanced guy

On a majority of issues, including games, I’ve been really good at understanding the arguments and why someone might feel the way that they do

That also goes with crimson desert, as much as I love this game, I recognize that it’s certainly not gonna be for everybody, and the game does have objective flaws and it’s designed that no amount of patches and updates can’t fix

With that said the one argument, I’ve never been able to understand or wrap my head around is the argument that Crimson desert’s world is dull, empty, or doesn’t give you free freedom.

Anytime I hear that argument. I’m just like “ did we play the same game?” the amount of freedom I get in crimson desert…. To the point that I don’t need to do the main story to find a lot of the main story locations early, or the fact that I can find entire areas or bosses without any help from other NPC’s that could’ve easily given me hints as to where I was supposed to go. Not to mention the thrill of finding a new puzzle, town, collectables, or sometimes just a brand new environment that is so massive makes me feel like a mouse!

This isn’t to discredit the people who don’t like the game…. But that’s just one argument. I’ve never understood and I don’t think I ever will.

What do you guys think?? Genuinely is there anybody here that likes the game, but agrees with the sentiment that its world is empty or dull???
