Update on my waxing injury from yesterday.

Yesterday I posted about an esthetician both burning and lifting skin on my eyelid. I removed my post because certain members of this page were harassing me for being upset that I was hurt during a wax at a popular chain and I mentioned I was considering speaking to a lawyer. Keep in mind, this is a huge chain, not a privately owned business. Not that this should really matter.

I spoke with both the manager of the store today and the waxing trainer, who is also my favorite waxer. They were mortified that this happened to me and they both agreed this is bad and I wasn't overreacting. They have opened a formal investigation and the employee has been placed on probation. Apparently this was not the first time she's injured a client and she's new. She will most likely be fired which of course makes me feel awful. But at the same time, you can't really make dangerous mistakes in a job like this.

I'm glad I spoke up. And after the comments I received yesterday I want to be very clear about something. You should NEVER leave a waxing service, or any service for that matter, wounded. You should not have to "just deal with" burns, lifting or any amount of damage to your self. It's not normal and it's not "part of the process". If this happens, speak up and don't feel bad. Knowing that this waxer has injured people in the past changed my perspective.

Obviously I'm pissed for vanity reasons. I'm going away this week(hence getting my brows done)and now I can't wear any eye makeup. Silly I realize, but I've been planning this trip for a year. But also it freaking hurts A LOT! It's my eyelid and eyelids open and close and crease and I have abrasions on my lid. It's a constant burning pain. And it sucks!

Look you guys it's Muppet Derek Hale

Saw this today. It's supposed to be Muppet Brett Goldstein, Roy Kent from Ted Lasso, but it looks like someone else we know. Be honest, if Teen Wolf had visited Sesame Street, this same muppet could be Derek, black tshirt and all.

Kinda gotta pee every time I go pee?

Hi, I’m a 46-year-old woman in the early stages of perimenopause, and I have to ask if anyone else has experienced this symptom.

About six months ago, I started noticing that after I pee, a few minutes later it feels like I still have a little urine left. I go out of my way to make sure I completely empty my bladder—I’ll even sit there for an extra minute or so—but I still get that lingering feeling afterward.

I went to my doctor to make sure I didn’t have a UTI, and thankfully, I don’t. But it seems to be getting progressively more annoying.

Could this be related to perimenopause? Or is this just a “me” thing? 😂 I’ve always kind of prided myself on having a strong bladder, so this sudden change is really making me batty.

Has anyone else experienced something like this seemingly out of nowhere during perimenopause?

Purchased one of those makeup brush cleaners. Do you have one?

At the TJ Maxx clearance sale I purchased a Gaiam Makeup Brush Cleaner. I had always wanted one and it was $8. I used it for the first time today and it was underwhelming. First of all the instructions are confusing. It comes with a rubber disk and it kinda seems to say that you put that disk into the tub. Once you turn on the machine it goes so slow. And if you put even a touch of pressure onto the disk the spinning stops.

So am I not supposed to put in the disk? Is mine broken and that's why it spins so slowly? Honestly the brushes got pretty clean but I did not expect them to. But it seems maybe...Just maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I went to a popular wax studio yesterday and this happened. How bad is it?

I've been getting my eyebrows waxed for 30+ years. At least 15 of those years has been at the same "chain". I've absolutely never had anything like this happen. I did notice the wax was hot at one point but I didn't think twice. She plucked a lot as well. The rest of the day I kept complaining about how much my eyes hurt. Both the eyebrow and eyelid. Just, it all hurt. This is not typical. I woke up this morning with this. Is this "Call them and complain" bad or "hire a lawyer" bad. Dear lord it hurts and if you zoom it's actually quite deep. To be clear I have never sued anyone. I'm not at all litigious. But holy crap they're a gigantic chain and they deeply burnt me.

Has anyone seen the newly created EJ dorm "triples" yet?

I honestly cannot wrap my head around the newly created “triples” in EJ, which used to be doubles. They now have these tiny little tables that are supposed to serve as desks, but with no drawers or storage. If three grown men wanted to sit and study, there’s simply no way they could comfortably do.

And now I’m reading that there are only two wardrobes in the room, meaning two students have to share?

I understand that this is only one year of life, but it’s also an incredibly expensive year of life. These changes just aren’t sitting right with me. When you’re paying as much as families are paying, I think it’s reasonable to expect that students have adequate space to live, study, and store their belongings

Where should we eat?

I mentioned in a previous post that we're driving to the Botanic Garden today (2 hours drive) to see the trolls. After we're done where should we grab dinner? Nearish to the gardens. My husband is not an adventurous eater so think Italian, Mexican, American. What's good!

Question about the Botanic Gardens?

ETA: we came, we saw, we left. It took just over an hour to see all 12 Trolls. There's not much else to do there. I didn't realize the butterflies were an extra charge so we skipped that step. I loved every second! Highly recommend.

Going to the Botanic Gardens tomorrow to see the trolls. About how long does it take to see it all? We are very much not lollygaggers. We thought we'd get there after lunch and stay 3 hours. Is that enough or not at all. Any help appreciated.

Question regarding Botanic Gardens?

We're hitting the Botanic Gardens tomorrow and I just wondered about how long does it take to see the gardens? We're mainly there to see the trolls. We are not lollygaggers. 🤣. Also can you bring in picnics?

Remember these 2 really stupid Teen Wolf moments in Derek's life?

I'm re-bingeing for the 3rd time and I'm watching Motel California. In this episode Derek is quite literally as close to death as a werewolf can be. He somehow stumbles, bloody and broken, his way to Jennifer so she can save him. She brings him home and... they bang. Nearly dying, but they bang. Like wtf!!!

Then in the series finale the Anuk-ite is manipulating each person to get them to open their eyes. When it's Derek's turn it masquerades as the person Derek would be most emotionally attached to. The person he's lost who he would risk his life to see one more time. And it's...Jennifer. Not Paige, not Talia, not Laura...but Jennifer, who he dated maybe 3 times before she tried to kill him and those he cares for!!!

Jeff Davis may have gifted us Stiles Stilinski and Spencer Reid but he was often at times also very disappointing.

MacBook Neo for college, studying business marketing.

My son is going off to college in 2 weeks and plans to major in business. He really wants a MacBook Neo and I'm not sure I agree. He has an iPhone and likes that they connect to one another.

His college website says "a Windows PC is preferable but students do just fine with a Mac." Thanks for the help college

🙄

We told him we'd give him $400 and he needs to pay the rest. He doesn't have enough for an Air.

Anyway, any opinions? Is the processor strong enough? Does the battery life last long? I'm not techy so I don't know what I should be asking. Sorry.

For giggles, what's the most cringe thing that was done during this entire nightmare? A specific text, email, action? There are so many things how do we pick just one?

Cringe is the main word that comes to mind when I think about the things Ryan and Blake have done through this nightmare. But what was the worst thing that just gave you absolute second hand embarrassment?

So petty but it makes me so happy to see the negative commentary around Mayday.

I stumbled upon an AppleTV post about Mayday today and I was so happy to see the majority, an overwhelming majority, of people commenting that they would NOT be supporting Ryan Reynolds. I looked further and saw many social media posts share this same sentiment. And it reminds me, if we all speak up and work together we can cancel this human rounding error. 😘😘😘

Let's be honest. No one saw Corey becoming the second most successful actor from Teen Wolf.

This just gets me. I'm so proud of him, kudos to him one million times over. But I don't think any of us called it. His career is going to be huge moving forward.

Eyeshadow palette with zero shimmer???

I'm getting a little fed up with shimmer on my eyelids. I have so so so many eyeshadow palettes but I think all but one contains shimmer. My absolute favorite palette was an Ulta bday gift from probably 15 years ago. Zero shimmer, but it's almost gone. Oh and I did recently get Bare Minerals eyeshadow palettes with no shimmer but they are the absolute crappiest crap, zero pigment and they were expensive which was disappointing.

If you have any recommendations for a shimmer free palette that also has good pigment let me know. I tend to lean towards neutrals, pinks and purples.

AMC Universal Cinema

Huge shout out to AMC Universal Cinema audience at the 6pm The Odyssey last night. I swear to you, completely full house, not a single peep for 3 hours, didn't see a single phone screen light up, I'm not even sure anyone got up to use the bathroom. Oh also no kids in the theater and it wasn't even a late showing. So proud of you guys!

But as usual the bathrooms were absolute trash. This theater always has the most disgusting bathrooms and I honestly do not understand how their management team doesn't see this. I'm female. Every single toilet is full to the rim with crap, 25 wet disgusting toilet seat covers hanging into the bowl, toilet paper all over the floor and I mean ALL over the floor. I think one sink works out of 8. Never any paper towels because it's all over the ground. They really need to get a handle on this. It was my first time back in over 6 months and still so gross. 🤮🤮🤮

Okay let's dig into why Dylan wants his boundaries.

I absolutely love seeing fans get all riled up when I mention that Dylan Obrien doesn't like his fans and will do anything to avoid interacting with them. But here's my opinion on why he's this way. To be absolutely clear, I Love Dylan. He's my absolute favorite actor. I think he's the most talented actor of his time. But I am smart enough to realize there are some issues here. While he's my favorite actor, he is not my favorite celebrity by a long shot. And I do admit that I think he's very rude for speaking out about not wanting fans to approach him. I work with celebs day in and day out. You are allowed to set boundaries, please set boundaries, but you should not verbally say so, it comes off as ungrateful. Without fans, celebs won't get hired. Careers fall apart. But I think Dylan would be pretty okay with this.

He never "wanted" to be famous. He started acting for fun, and immediately got booked on Teen Wolf. There was zero time to be hungry and desperate like most actors. He doesn't know the difference between being successful and being a struggling actor, desperate to be hired for a job.

His fame with 13 year old girls,an admittedly difficult age group, SKY ROCKETED in 10 seconds. Girls and boys alike fell in love with Stiles Stilinski. At first it was fun. He attended all the fan events, red carpets, meet and greets and conventions. He cultivated meaningful relationships with fans.

People began stalking him. Waiting outside his home, his place of work, any public place he enters is surrounded by young girls who want a piece of him. So he moved to a more secure address and neighborhood. Ilived in this street, i remember the way they waited across the street. It was crazy. They started stalking him there as well. He couldn't walk to the store without fans and paparazzi following him. They send him sexually explicit stories starring him. He's wildly uncomfortable. There is no escaping.

He earns a part in a popular new movie franchise. He's thrilled to be moving forward from Teen Wolf but he'll always have a soft spot for TW...

He suffers an incredible tragedy on the set of a movie. An accident that never should have happened. That not only he himself voiced concern about, but other stunt riggers on set said was an unsafe situation. It could have been prevented. They moved forward anyway and he suffered a severe TBI.

Recovery was a bitch. He thought he may never recover. Meanwhile not one but two movies are threatening him to come back to set. His people explain he isn't ready, he's not healed, he's not in the right mindset. They tell him get his ass back to set or they will sue him for more money than he'd EVER be able to come up with. Hollywood doesn't care about you, they care about the bottom line. So he goes back to work too early.

He becomes depressed and angry. His long term relationship falls apart, which is heartbreaking. He's also left wondering if this is the life he wants for himself. But he's contractually obligated to show up for more projects so he continues, unhappy.

Family, friends and even fans start to realize that his traumatic brain injury could have changed his personality, which is common with tbi. He's sad, depressed, overwhelmed and no one including TW fans will give him a break. Especially TW fans.

He continues pushing himself but is obviously a different person. He stops speaking to his sister, he starts dating a known racist. Fans lose their mind, he refuses to care.

He speaks out on how he wishes fans didn't know anything about him and wouldn't approach him in public. He sets boundaries in a verbal manner which is not socially acceptable at this time in Hollywood.

The Knicks post him on the Jumbotron as Dylan Obrien Teen Wolf and he pretends to be offended. But it's just a bit. No worries. 🙈🙉🙊

Dyland O'Brien and the unbearable weight of Teen Wolf

I know people get upset when I say this, but there's literally nothing Dylan hates more than Teen Wolf and his fans from Teen Wolf.

Who has seen the movie, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent? Tyler Posey should do this!

A conversation with another member of this group reminded me of Nicolas Cage's career. He went from being one of Hollywood's biggest stars to becoming the punchline of countless jokes. Then he leaned into that perception with The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, playing an exaggerated version of himself. It was funny, self-aware, and reminded people why they liked him in the first place.

I honestly think Tyler Posey could do something similar. His post-Teen Wolf career hasn't reached the same level as some of his former castmates, and a lot of his projects haven't really taken off. At this point, it feels like he's still trying to recapture the Teen Wolf era instead of redefining himself.

I'd love to see him write and star in a self-aware comedy about a former teen heartthrob who can't escape the shadow of his biggest role. Have him poke fun at convention appearances, failed auditions, agents telling him to move on, and watching old co-stars become huge stars while he's stuck chasing the past. Think BoJack Horseman, but as a live-action comedy.

I don't mean this as an insult at all—I actually think it could be the smartest career move he could make. Hollywood loves people who are willing to be vulnerable and laugh at themselves, and I think Tyler has the charisma to pull it off. It feels like a much stronger path than continuing to rely on Teen Wolf nostalgia. Am I the only one who thinks this could actually be a great show?

Any new suggestions(possibly homeopathic) for long pneumonia when absolutely nothing has helped?

The quick version. My 13y/o Scotty/Doxy got a bag case of pneumonia in December of '25. He is still incredibly sick 6 months later.

We've done almost 10 rounds of different doses and lengths of Doxy. We've done 2 rounds of fungal antibiotics. We've tested his mucus. We've sent off many things for testing and we've learned NADA. We've done numerous rounds of steroids. Still, 6 months later he has SO much mucus that he coughs up phlegm balls and snots 3ft long 100 times a day.

He's always making some awful snorting noise. He's constantly having reverse sneeze attacks. He constantly can't breathe. Honestly I love him but he's gross. I spend all our time pulling boogers out of his nose.

Outside of meds he takes steam showers all the time. We bang on his lungs all day. He will not get better.

We've seen 3 vets. 3 different vets. They've all basically given up. Each one had the same exact treatment course and my bestie is a vet in another state and she says she'd treat the same way. But we aren't doing better.

The only medical "next step" is a lung lavage. A BAL. It's about 4k and we can't afford it. Plus all vets have said there is no guarantee it will help.

Has anyone been through long pneumonia? Any homeopathic treatments, meds? Anything?
