do you guys enjoy med school?

i liked it for like 1 month then after a misunderstanding with my SGD mates…it’s hard going to class early morning and seeing them so basically i’ve been walking in egg shells for month which makes me anxious and tired..+ brain fog.

I hate my sis in law and her whole family…

she acts very different when i’m alone vs when I’m with my mom or my other sisters. I hate that my old house doesn’t feel like home anymore because of her ! her family is always hanging out at my parents house…it’s very annoying because they used to be very rude to my family

I hate medicine but my family has trapped me

i never liked medicine and it wasn’t even my dream but my family was obsessed with it ever since I was 13-14 so right after high school, I was told to do so and i was trapped in this viscous cycle of entrance exam for 3 years + covid happened and I suffered a lot then later when i finally got into med school - they wore all happy and i left in between because i could not take it and I was panicking. I was worried that since i don’t have any other degree and what if I regret it even more as i grow older. now i’ve applied for another degree but my family is still obsessed and they don’t talk to me like they’ve blocked me. OMG so i suffered for so long and now they tell me that i have to stop living in the past and that “medicine is the best, it’s just that you couldn’t do it even with support” like hello I never wanted that and now they will compare me with my relatives.

and im sooo angry i wasted my late teens and early 20s just because of this and i hate seeing doctors and anything related with this field ! like i desperately want to escape idk what to do 😭 HELP

I find everything pointless HELP

I don’t know how to fix this or change my mindset, but as I get older, I find everything more and more pointless.
For context, I took a three-year gap after high school, and then COVID happened, so I felt like my university experience was already over before it even really began. I always wanted to study at a good university in a good city, and I had the financial means to do so, but my family was obsessed with medicine, so I chose to pursue it to make them happy.

Then I got bullied in medical school, and the environment was extremely toxic, so I eventually left.
Now I’m 24, soon to be 25, and I find everything pointless. I’m starting a new degree soon, and it’s three years long, which means I’ll be 27–28 by the time I graduate. That already feels too old, so I keep wondering, what’s the point? Like, okay, after that, if I get a job, I’ll work for a few years and suddenly I’ll be 30. Then what’s the point of enjoying life at that age? In the blink of an eye, I’ll be 40, and that feels even older.
My parents are also getting older, which adds even more pressure and makes me worry about my future and my mental health.

I always wanted to live near my sister, but because of medical school, I had to stay far away from her. Now things feel weird between us because I left med school, and I basically feel alone

I know I probably need to change the way I think about age and life, but I genuinely don’t know how. Right now, it just feels like I’ve already wasted so much time, and I don’t know how to stop feeling like I’m constantly running out of it.

my bullies are all successful while i still have not moved on…

i met them in med school and they bullied me for being 1-2 years older + having a bf so we had a huge fight which led me to transferring school. I never moved on from what they did while they’re thriving and about to graduate while i suffered so much that i left the whole country and i’m now in New Zealand studying completely different.
They’re still in the philippines. I’m from a well to do family but i still got affected and couldn’t achieve my goal so i had to change career for my own peace of mind

yoo study med in ph or go abroad ?

I have an opportunity in front of me, but I am really scared about moving abroad to a completely new country all on my own, especially with things like weekly rent and living entirely independently. I am fortunate to have full support for whatever I choose, but I find myself completely indecisive. I know I will have regrets no matter what I decide, but I wanted to ask for opinions and advice from those of you who have already been through this journey.
For medicine, my main motivation is wanting to make my parents proud and feel a sense of personal satisfaction.
For going abroad, I get the chance to build a brand-new life and open up more opportunities, but the fear is holding me back

I’m extremely tired all the time at 26 and i feel old

i just turned 26 and maybe it’s because my body is transforming but I feel tired all the time like I can’t stay outside for long. I have to take a nap or drink coffee and I’m not excited about anything rather I tend to think about the worst case scenario. I also see no point in anything like it’s gonna end and become memories anyways so why even try. and in 100 years no one will be here so i find it pointless. I don’t eat at home either because everything seem fake.

recently i withdrew from dental school because of bullying and i feel out of place at my own home. I’m also moving country for my university for a new degree and a fresh start but i don’t feel happy at all. rather I’m just tired like I worry what worse will come at 30,40….cant even imagine myself at 50 🥺

how do i deal with my sis in law ?

i’m 25F and my brother has been living in my parents house for 11 years and they have 2 kids…i came back from college like i changed my major and in my childhood house everything has been shifted like they live in my room now. I didn’t mind that much but since my sisters and parents are away for vacation. I’m with them in this house and i’m flabbergasted with the attitude of my sis in law like she has no degree and no job. she works in my family hotel but the attitude is through the roof. She sleeps in my old room, wears my clothes, lives in my
parents house yet shows attitude. they told me to
look after their kids which i agreed but everyday i would get text about what went wrong and what i’m lacking like i’m not a caretaker OMG then she took my
charger and claimed it’s her with attitude then she bangs the door and acts as if she didn’t know…her kids constantly tell me “oh my mom was asking your age “ “oh my mom said you can’t afford anything “ I was so mad and i kicked those two kids out the room that im staying because why should i adjust ?? now i don’t talk to them nor my brother. I’m just soooo shocked with the attitude like she has nothing but this attitude is too much . it’s weird like she talks about me with my
own aunt too like who the hell is she OMG i’m so angry that she banged the door and used my charger and she constantly compares her child with me .

thinking of giving up on education and being a monk

I’m from a very privileged family but my life has not been good outside. I’m 25 now and my family wanted me to become a doctor. I tried to pass the entrance exam but couldn’t . I did pass but after 3 tries and when i was finally happy about med school. I got bullied since day 1 and it got worst gradually so i transferred to a different school and i got bullied again ( im very angry that i let certain toxic people into my life) i used to be anxious everyday at school because other would gossip about me . i failed also and now im back home and im honestly terrified of starting anything like what if it gets bad again ? what if i get bullied again ? and i’m also old now so i wont have any friends or community that i can relate with

- I also tend to listen to other people a lot like i go for vacation every 6 months but the people at my school didn’t like it or they would say something bad so i didn’t like going on any vacation

- and i would also remember their facial expressions all the time and replay it constantly and get angry

25 and I really think i will fail at everything

I wasn’t like this at all ..i still remember my brother telling me that “I’m gonna go to med school right ? “ so i said yes but i didn’t even get the pass score in college entrance exam (looking back it was because I didn’t know the study technique and it was my first time doing MCQ) ..i took gap years to study for the entrance exam (huge mistake ) then covid happened and my relatives knew i was preparing so they would pass subtle comments which got engraved into my head

i finally started med school at 21 but got heavily bullied since day 1 and my parents saw it so they wore crying because they thought I was a strong person …i tried to ignore those people but it got worst so i transferred school and i got bullied again within 2 weeks and it affected my studies …i failed (my school pass score is 80% but i got 77% ) so now I’m back home and completely paralyzed on what to do….i’m planning on pivoting to something else because i get anxious thinking of med school but i worry i’ll meet bad people again and i won’t be able to succeed

i also immensely regret letting people into my life . i should’ve never done medicine. i honestly deeply think im a loser

i really think I’ve ruined my life (soon 26)

I was in med school with full support but i got anxious and was bullied too so i started to think about future like what if i don’t pass and stuff so i left now I’m completely lost and I don’t want to ask help from my parents because I’ve wasted too much

i can either go to a different country and study something else while trying to be independent or I gotta try for scholarship in med again because I miss it lol 🥺 I worry i’ll still be dependent at 30

Came to study in philippines but left with PTSD

i came to study for language school. It was only good for like 3 months after that Oh my god it got worst every month as it passed by 🥺 a lot of things wore unfair and got scammed a lot. The worst was the intramus immigration and the people over there not wanting to hear me. Even during the school…the teachers wore really weird like they would boast about themselves a lot but teach really badly…even some friends wore nice but other would smile at my face and laugh at my back lmao

- only have good memories of the beaches
