Why are they so hypocritical?
If you don’t know, there’s been a constant debate in pop culture, especially in games and anime.
Some people, particularly SOME women, always have a problem whenever an artist portrays a woman in a sexualized way in their art, whether it’s in a video game, anime, or a sketch.
But these very same (SOME) women have no problem when a woman chooses to sexualize herself. And if someone says something critical about that woman, they come to her defense, saying there’s nothing wrong with it: “It’s her body, her choice.”
They argue that the problem lies in the minds of the people judging her, not in the way she dresses or presents herself.
So why do they forget to apply the same logic to themselves?
It’s their art, their choice. If something is wrong with the artwork, shouldn’t the problem also be in the mind of the person interpreting it?
You can dislike the art, but applying “my body, my choice” in one situation while rejecting “my art, my choice” in another seems hypocritical.
Edit: someday said it's about consent in comments. Bruhhh, I am talking about imaginary art of a fictional character, from whom a person will take consent to imagine something ??
