Is this a good offer for the German gold card, or is it advised to wait for better ones? (Translation: 100 € Lufthansa voucher, 4000 miles, 40 points)

Is flying the only way to earn Points? What would you recommend? I'm a noob at all this, had about 18000 points expire over the past 10 months. Should've paid more attention since the beginning.

How do I apply for a PR as a Blue Card holder? (I cannot find the right link on Frankfurt's website. More details in body)

As a BC holder in Frankfurt, I want to apply for the "Niederlassungserlaubnis für Inhaber einer Blauen Karte EU". However, I am unable to find that option on the website.

On this website (https://frankfurt.de/auslaenderangelegenheiten), I click the "Ich mochte einen Antrag stellen",

  1. and then "Arbeitnehmer und Familienangehörige" and see only "Niederlassungserlaubnis (unbefristet) Arbeitnehmer + Familienangehörige" (Settlement permit (unlimited) Employee + family members) .
  2. After clicking on "Ich mochte einen Antrag stellen", I also see the "Niederlassungserlaubnis und Daueraufenthalt-EU für Arbeitnehmer/Selbständige und deren Familienangehörige" option.

Which one of the two is the right one? None of the options anywhere talk about "Niederlassungserlaubnis für Inhaber einer Blauen Karte EU". Has anybody applied for a PR from Frankfurt?

Thanks in advance.

Has anybody given their Einbuergerungstest at DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) in FFM in the past 2-3 months?

Is anybody waiting for their test results? Has anybody reached out to DRK to ask for an update? If yes, is it advised?

It's been more than 8 weeks now and I am slowly losing my patience. I don't want to email BAMF because I am sure they're already swamped and probably won't even reply to me. However, since several people seem to have already received their results, I am kinda freaking out. Therefore, I wanted to see if there's anyone in the same boat.

I apologise if this post is of low quality or doesnt exactly fit the rules of the sub, but I wasn't sure where else to ask this question, since it pertains to Frankfurt.

PSA (probably, or just my bad luck): Watch out for spoilt Lieken Golden Toast bread. Bought it a day or two ago and it looks moldy inside (not just the top slice). Literally opened just now, it was closed up pretty tightly. Maybe it's just this packet, idk, but it wouldn't hurt to be cautious.

I want to buy a macbook to replace my old laptop but I cannot seem to justify paying so much. (more in body)

I am mostly a linux user. I dual-booted my current windows laptop and use only linux on a daily basis. I have used macs before but this would be the first time that I use it for everything, all the time. I am afraid that I may not like it that much AFTER spending so much on a macbook.

I would appreciate any advice/suggestion you may have for me. Has anybody invested the amount (MRP) in a fund, stock or FD and then used the profit to buy the device lol? Would love to do something like that.

Please help me understand why my laptop's fans are always on. The constant low pitch sound is irritating my ears to the point that I stopped using my laptop.

I have an HP Omen laptop with an older AMD Ryzen 5 U series SOC and Nvidia Gtx1660ti. I have both Win 10 and Linux Mint 22.3 (Cinnamon 6.6.7).

So this happened in the past as well (~6 months ago). I was able to solve the issue by using an older kernel (still supported).

However, that trick doesn't work anymore.

  1. I checked 'htop' and there's no unknown, unwanted or intensive process running.
  2. I use the AMD power saving profile for graphics.
  3. The battery is in "power saver" mode.
  4. I tried changing the kernels.
  5. All apps and packages are up to date.

It is frustrating me so much that I have half a mind to boot into Win 10. I would appreciate any help.

Anybody invested in stocks or mutual funds?

I use etoro but they’re God awful. I would like to invest through some other app/broker, and since I am already an n26 customer, I thought “why not”.

However, I don’t want to take any risks. Could someone with experience or knowledge please advise me? (Is n26 a good investment platform)

I am open to any suggestions. Thanks!

Anybody knows where I can watch this in Telugu (Hindi is also okay)? Prime only has Tamil (original), Malayalam and Kannada audio options. No spoilers please, thanks!

How to edit address in driving license? I am unable to edit the fields (mouse icon in 2nd pic), and Bengaluru North has no village/town list (1st pic). Anybody recently changed their address in DL?

I’ve been trying to get this exact look (outfit) but with no luck so far. The long t shirt gives me Uniqlo vibes but I can’t find that color. Can somebody please help me identify the top, pants and shoe combo? (The photo came up while I was looking for some Birks)

I am also open to suggestions, recommendations and advice! Thanks. If it helps, I’m in Europe.

Are Mustang shoes a good purchase? I know Mustang (from Germany) is famous for jeans but idk if their shoes are good enough.

Saw a pair that I liked at a shoe store in Frankfurt, but idk if it’s considered a “good” brand. In my opinion, good = does not scream “wannabe”, preferably 100% european made, lasts reasonably long, is comfortable enough (subjective) etc.

Does anybody have any info that can help me? Thanks.
