Nerding out at @ohiomushroomfestival about my favorite genus..... Amanita 🍄
This was a new speech I presented titled "Psychoactive Amanitas of North America"
It is an overview of isoxazole containing Amanitas in section Amanita: subsection Amanita, Gemmatae, and Pantherinae.❤️
I'll have the full lecture out on youtube this week, my youtube is available in the link in my bio 🔗

Anyone else notice that Shop BVV equipment has gotten thinner and cheaper over the years? I bought all parts for a 15L reflux reactor 5 years ago and was impressed with it. Last year I bought all the same parts and everything is much thinner and cheaper. Functions almost identically the same but instead of two joint tri clamp the switches to one joint. All the hand turn parts are thinner, hurt my fingers a little more. I recently bought a 15L jacketed base and had to get a new one sent out because the inside was all dinged up and marred.
Any one else go with USA Labs? I'm curious on a new supplier for an upcoming 150L jacketed vessel reflux reactor I will be buying.

I do not make posts like this lightly. After weeks of patience, multiple attempts to resolve this privately, and complete silence on her end, I feel it is my responsibility to the community to share this experience.
What happened:
I paid Natali (VATAMANIUK NATALIIA) $1,045.81 USD via Wise for a mushroom order. The package was shipped, intercepted by customs, and returned to her. I have full documentation — payment receipts, tracking history, and our complete WhatsApp conversation.
From the moment the package was returned, I made it clear I needed either a resend or a full refund. I was patient. I gave her every opportunity to make it right. I sent multiple messages over several weeks. She went completely silent.
Why I am posting this:
As the curator of the community vendors list and someone who has been in this space for years, I have a responsibility to protect other buyers. I stayed quiet for weeks to give her the chance to resolve this like a professional. She chose not to respond.
This is not personal. This is about protecting this community from losing hard-earned money to someone who takes payment and disappears when things go wrong.
Natali has been removed from the vendors list effective immediately.
If you have had a similar experience with this supplier, please share in the comments. If you are currently in a transaction with her, I would advise caution.
I will update this post if the situation is resolved.
Ganoderma tsugae, like Ganoderma lucidum has been shown to have greater medicinal content when harvest fully mature post-sporulation. Tsugae may not have as many spores, so its often overlooked unlike lucidum where they actually will scoop up heeps of spores.

It shouldn't be overlooked, these mushrooms can be utilized to their highest potential as a healing ally. Check this video and see the big brown dusty spore print these beauties put out.

"In post-spore-release fruiting bodies of G. tsugae, the main active components of triterpenoids and polysaccharides were significantly higher"

I have a friend who has been in and out of hospitals due to manic bipolar 1 episodes over the last 16 years. He has a wife and toddler, two weeks ago he went to the hospital, self admitted, and they kept him there on drugs for a period of time but then released him. He still wasn't fully ok, but he wasn't a "danger to himself or others" so they released him. A day went by and stuff happened at home, and he proceeded to stay awake for 48 hrs and drove to another state (like 18 hrs drive) somehow managed to not die. Then he got pulled over after reckless driving, and a nice cop gave him a ticket and didn't arrest him for driving at criminal speeds thru construction zones. He got 302'd at this hospital and finally he called me.
\
He trusts me, and doesn't believe I have ill will, and I am like 1 of 2 people he actually will open up to.
\
He thinks he is the messiah, and he is here to help in a holy war. And thats apparently more important than taking care of his family.
\
He refuses medication. But will go to hospitals during episodes. But as time goes on he thinks more and more that mania is a myth, he doesn't need help, and that this is his spiritual awakening. He wants to isolate himself on a family's property nearby, but it doesn't look like that family member will even go for it.
\
I tried to reason with him about the messiah stuff but he is convinced. He's far away, and the hospital is doing the best they can but his behavior there has forced them to keep him in the ER because he was aggressive.
\
I wish I could help him more, but I know my limits. Open to any feedback. Thnx.

I drylok'd my basement walls and floor to create a sealed concrete wall for my lab, I now am realizing drylok holds dirty and stains badly so I'm wondering if I can paint or epoxy over it and what my best options would be?
I would love something low VOC as I have little ones in the house and don't want to have to evacuate it. I also make herbal medicine and that's just not the vibe, although I am aware I may have to apply something nasty if I want an easily cleanable surface. I am looking for suggestions for floor and wall, something that can be mopped up easily and something that can be wiped with isopropyl alcohol/cleaner solutions etc.

I have shipped out two packages yesterday that have wrong tracking numbers somehow. Shopify prints the label, I live in Pennyslvania and the tracking numbers say they were printed somewhere else and delivered to a wrong address and that the whole thing went down in April lol. Wtf? I'm telling customers to wait to see if it gets delivered but I will be filing some insurance claims if they don't. Anyone else dealing with this?
I have been shipping UPS for 5 years over multiple locations for my business.
I usually go to a designated UPS pick up location like CVS or other stores.
Sometimes I know a package is coming to my house so I will leave UPS packages on the porch with a P/U sign and they pick em up.
Occasionally when I'm in a pinch I will drive around and hunt down a UPS truck and ask if they can take my package. They always seem to not have a problem with it and take it.
I do this because I know it'll go out the same day instead of dropping off at a drop point and waiting for the next day shipment or even a Monday if its a Friday drop off.
I have hunted down many UPS drivers and they were all obliged. Except this one guy.
And he just so happens to be the main guy I see when I do this as I live in a small town.
He always gives me sass when I do it, but he still takes them.
He even told the girls at CVS that he switches up his schedule so people don't meet him in the parking lot.
So I think he is just cranky.
Last time he said "Still haven't scheduled a pick up??" In a demeaning tone.
I know I can pay for a pick up, but I'm trying to save money.
Am I in the wrong? Or is he just cranky? Have all the other drivers just been nice to me?
My motion sensor security camera just picked this up 🕷🤣
The body doesn't need to remember to pump blood, and the moon doesn't need directions on how to rotate. It just is. This is what we learn from nature. Just be.
Join the adventure with Noah and I while we hunt some reishi!
Its reishi season here in Pennsylvania and are specific area needs another week for optimal harvest. It was good to scope these out and pick a few. We'll be back.
Thank you Mother Nature!
The species are Ganoderma tsugae, the Hemlock Reishi, they grow on Tsuga Canadensis the Eastern Hemlock.
Here we have a rare glimpse of the mushroom wizard in his natural habitat.
Now is the season for the local yellow fly agaric mushrooms and he may be found rumaging under pine trees for them.
He is very excitable, and startles easy. So it is best to keep your distance if you see him in your yard.
Do not approach the mushroom wizard, and if he approaches you, remain still until he passes.
He is foraging psychoactive amanita mushrooms for his potions.
He careful identifies and harvests the correct mushrooms. One wrong harvest could cost him his life. A life of calculated risks, the mushroom wizard hops along gleefully.
Watch how he jumps for joy when picking, this is a special time of year for him.
He will eventually return to his cabin to dry these mushrooms, but while the season is ripe, he takes advantage.
He is mostly harmless, but has been known to cast spells on people who don't allow his trespassing.
One man was turned into a frog, only to recover a few days later.
The mushroom wizard is a solitary creature and the symbiotic relationships he does have usually revolve around mushrooms in one way or another.
He lives in harmony with nature, unbothered and in his lane.
⚡️Tree lightning strikes are crazy 🌲
We heard what sounded like a gun shot during a thunderstorm. I found the trees like this a few weeks later.
When trees are struck by lightning the electricity makes sap boil, strips bark and can explode wood. Usually killing the tree instantly or slowly killing it over time.
Just a heads up to any vendors that gets an order from someone named Majd Mohammad from
Florida, I got scammed out of $250 and the Amanita he bought because he filed a charge back dispute. I tried to appeal and had all the correct information, problem is that 65% of the time vendors lose the dispute.
I could dox him completely but I will not do that. Just remember the name and state.

Hello everyone I would like to introduce myself.
I am both a sufferer of lyme disease, and a manufacturer of the herbal supplements to help to eradicate it. I am wanting to be transparent that I am asking questions in this post for better products to have, but also I do hope to gain some interest in these products, as I already have many clients with Lyme getting relief with just the Japanese knotweed tincture.
My name is Michael, I have been foraging wild mushrooms and plants since 2016 and I live in Western PA.
As you can imagine with that crossover I have been bit by probably over 50 ticks, many embedded, and many have left nasty symptoms.
In 2021 I had been exposed to black mold and then began to have some severe symptoms that more resembled Lyme. So I got the standard ELISA test and (luckily) got a positive result for B. burgdorferi (sp.). So I had apparently had Lyme disease for some amount of time and then the mold exposure knocked down my immune system and the lyme symptoms came out.
Fast forward to now, I have been running my own mushroom and herbal extraction and foraging business, I harvest my own knotweed roots and many of the mushrooms I use for extraction.
I read Buhners book last year, the 2nd edition of Healing Lyme, and I have read other herbal books and listened to other herbalists about protocols and whatnot.
I have done a lot of research, and while I do not have limitless resources to create a massive suite of anti-lyme tinctures I decided I wanted to create a good core protocol for my clients.
Obviously starting with Japanese knotweed which has been my life blood for the last five years, but now getting into more anti-spirochital herbs and cytokine-remodulators.
Here is what I have decided and I am open to suggestions too:
(some of these repeat as I have them in buckets of categories)
Protecting endothelial structures:
Japanese knotweed
Hawthorn berries/leaves/stems
Cytokine remodulators:
Chinese Skullcap root (Scutellaria baicalensis)
Chaga fungus
Immune Remodulation:
Cordyceps militaris
Reishi, Ganoderma tsugae
Andrographis paniculata
Neural restoration:
Chinese cats claw (Uncaria rhynchophylla)
Lions mane, Hericium erinaceus
Amanita muscaria fully decarbed extract (GABA-A agonist)
Anti-spirochitals/anti leptospirosis:
Andrographis paniculata
Cryptolepis sanguinolenta
Japanese knotweed
Lyme carditis:
Hawthorn berry/leaf/stem
Topical localized pain (muscles, nerves, joints):
Amanita muscaria pine resin salve
Pantherina balm w/ lots of anti-inflammatory essential oils
I am open to suggestions but they gotta be really good ones, I just added like 4 things to my line up and still developing labels and SKUs and all that business.
Thanks for listening and taking the time to read it. I really enjoy this sub, thanks everyone.
-Michael

New Amanita muscaria vendors getting flagged for BRAM violations — here's the one most people don't see coming.
Payment processors are running AI bots that complete actual purchases from countries where Amanita is illegal.
If your store processes that transaction, it's documented. You've got a violation on record before you ever talk to an underwriter.
This is why new-only applicants get denied at rates that feel random. It's not random. Blocking restricted countries at checkout isn't optional in this space — it's the baseline requirement.
Watch this before you apply.
***If you need payment processing, hit me up, once this ban is lifted I can get you set up with my agent.
