How I’ll be spending my week

Got the house all to myself…

Finally got myself a copy

Been wanting a copy for a couple years now after beating castlevania 64. It’s really not as bad as people think it is! Pulled the trigger as I found a good deal for a copy.

Now to decide if I want to play on the A3D or my N64…

Family member gave this to me years ago, don’t fully recall the backstory though…

Going off the leaflet, I think it was a little get-together of when the Wilson house was declared a historic landmark. They gave it to me as they knew I was a beach boys fan.

Anyone know if the leaflet has been uploaded anywhere? They vacuumed sealed it along with the shirt but I’d be willing to open it up and share it.

Anyone else notice the mouse icon pop up in the newest episode

They’ve probably been playing on emulator for a long time now at this point. No hate though, it’s a lot simpler to do it that way.

Surprised how good this box set sounds

First moonshake press I ever got, definitely not disappointed!

Finally found one!

Can’t wait to try it out, all I have though for testing is death crimson OX.

Both are great games, but if one had to go, which would you keep?

Do you have to get a pristine CIB copy, or do you like to get a deal on the beat up CIB copies? Where do you draw line at condition-wise?

I know preference will most likely lean towards getting an as clean-as-possible copy, but depending on the games you want, that can really add up. I don’t mind having roughed-up copies of some games, as it’s the game at the end of the day that matters most to me. Where I do draw the line though is if there’s a physical piece of the box missing, like a hole or a cut out of the barcode, tears on boxes can go 50/50 depending on the price. The FF VI copy I got for maybe $10 over the loose price as the box had a pretty big tear on the front, but I touched it up a little with some rubber cement, I was pretty happy with it. Got at least a couple hundred off dreamland 3 as well with the torn manual and some box damage on the spine and top, I again flattened it a bit with some rubber cement. If I can save some money and still have an okay copy, I’ll be a happy buyer.

What do you guys mainly go for?

Is the Elmo 16-CL a good projector for telecine use?

I’ve seen a few listings on eBay for either a stock model or a modified 16CL, claiming it has a five blade shutter inside. Do the stock CL units have a five blade shutter as well?

I’m looking to get rid of my films I have as I don’t partake in the hobby anymore, however before I do that, I have some films I’d like to get a transfer of, but getting HD transfers adds up very quickly when done by a third party. I know the projector itself isn’t cheap either, but I’d rather not spend over 1k for a modified unit, when I can buy one for around $500. I already have a nice camera as well so I don’t need to buy a unit decked with a camera already.

Attached below are the two modified units available off eBay.

Would love any input!

Just got these in the mail, top notch packaging for home brew releases!

Who here has played these? I might need to get a stick now for neo xyx.

The big ones

Dream land 3 is so underrated, I wish it didn’t come out so late, not that many people got to play it.

Brain is driving me crazy lol

Not sure if anyone here has experienced this before, but I already have a bad issue with certain sounds/phrases/words replaying over and over in my head, like a stuck thought, but now my brain just keeps replaying different tones that I have/heard from my tinnitus and I’m absolutely hating it ☺️. Not to mention that fact that also I feel like my ears are just going wild possibly from the constant humidity, it’s making my ETD worse and adding different sounds/odd physical ear feelings into the mix.

Just wanted to rant really, if any of y’all have experienced this before, I am sorry.

Goodies came in!

I have to admit I only started watching recently, but I’m loving it so much… I can’t believe I’ve known about the series for so long but never watched it, glad I’m going through it now! Can’t wait to go through these, I’m eventually going to look to complete the set with the blue spine books starting with 22.

All first prints too! 21 is a bit roughed up but I’m okay with that.

Best way to hook up this subwoofer to my power amp?

Haven’t had a subwoofer in my setup for awhile; and not sure which way would be best to wire it up. Should I wire it up like in the diagram, or should I use the output on the subwoofer?

Also if I wire it up like the diagram, will that cause any issues? I never know wiring it up like that was a possibility.

After a couple days with the pocket, I don’t understand the d-pad complaints

Yes it isn’t as good as Nintendo d-pads, but I was able to beat Pokemon puzzle challenge with no issue whatsoever on the hardest difficulty, and this is a game that demands fast and precise movements with the d-pad. It may be a little loose-feeling, but it’s not nearly as bad as people were making it out to be.

Side note, it took over three weeks for this to arrive, but I’m really loving it so far, the screen looks amazing.
