Rückblickend fand ich es eigentlich nicht so schlimm. Rennradler in der Stadt (sprich Radwege und nicht auf der Straße) sind definitiv unberechenbarer, weil sie bei langsamen Geschwindigkeiten instabil sind, aufgrund der Sitzposition keinen guten Blick aufs Umfeld haben, einen breiten Kurvenradius haben und mit Klickschuch eingerastet sind und nicht schnell absteigen können oder wollen.

UPDATE: Wurde bei MA48 Fundservice der Stadt Wien abgegeben.

Oder muss ich vorher der Parkraumüberwachung oder der Polizei Bescheid geben? Vlt einen Tag warten? Was würdet ihr tun?

My local classifieds for Bromptons only has two types of bikes:

1. Beat up and garbage condition unrideable bikes for 3-500€ for salvage and
2. Practically brand new bikes for a 10-20% discount because the owners claim it is "Like New"

All summer, those listings have barely moved at all. One or Two C-Lines sold for 30% discount asking, not sure what final price was.

In any normal used bicycle market 1 and 2 would eventually reduce their prices to meet someone's reserve price. However, because Bromptons are a luxury good to begin with, the people who buy it aren't hurting for cash anyway. So the listings are basically static and never discounted.

However prospective buyers of Bromptons aren't hurting for cash either, so I can either roll the dice with a 10-20% discount or just... buy myself a brand new one and don't have any headaches with insurance. What's 200€ saved when you're spending 2k? That's like 2 tanks of Diesel... basically nothing. If you're already buying such an expensive commuter bike, you're not looking to penny pinch anyway.

So my theory is that "Bromptons retain resale value" mantra is only really half true. Yes, you get more out of your used bike than with other brands, but the main reason why the prices are so high is because there's barely any people selling their Bromptons because they love them so much and Buyers are valuing having a new bike over the small discount the sellers give.

I literally cannot fathom how we played counter strike without it if I am perfectly honest. The entire game basically warps around smokes now. If you're not buying/using/dropping smokes you're trolling.
