Feeling uncomfortable and not knowing what to do when a non-black person says the n-word

I don't want to constantly check someone after saying a slur they shouldn't be saying. Going out of my way to constantly correct someone like I'm their mother is just irritating. Especially if they won't even stop saying it. I just feel so uncomfortable. Like today someone hispanic said the n-word, and what makes it worse is their friends are Black, like genuinely wtf. He didn't even choose to correct him.

So people are just okay with letting their "friends," be racist? This is disgusting and unsettling

Does anyone else feel like their hair wears them instead of the other way around?

I recently cut and then shaved my head, and I feel like for the most part it wears me instead of the other way. I remember when I straightened it, I just got compliments about it. Reminds me of Katt Williams or if Jay z was to straighten out his hair😭 I really didn't like that my hair was the center of attention rather than me.

When do you start to initiate intercourse in a romantic relationship?

I'm not religious, I don't really believe in purity culture or hookup culture honestly. I don't want to rush it because of how fast people will ghost and act like they wanted to date you. But I don't want to wait til marriage either because how will I know if we're sexually compatible? I'm scared of being used for any sexual intentions if I'm not going to be with them long-term. So when is the best time to initiate or to at least be sure they won't leave after you have sex?

People not understanding a blackgirls experience through their lenses

I feel like whenever you mention something about race or how it's part of a factor of something people seem to discard it easily. I was arguing with someone in a comment section because they were simplifying a situation where I'm being attacked for my appearance online. They deleted their comments and blocked me now.

Later into the argument in the argument i mentioned how they would be treated the exact same way if they were a young black girl on the same platform I'm being targeted on. Now that i brought race into the conversation they immediately thought I'm trying to be manipulative? Mind you they're only thinking this way because of the subreddit and the type of community I mentioned I'm being affected by (blackpill).

I feel like there's many young girls or black teens experiencing the same thing I am. I feel like it's worse too, like the "yamily" trend, being called "n*glet," and whatever other historically anti-black derogatory language there is.

I say they're simplifying my situation because a comment told me to block and move on, but if I'm asking for advice "moving on," isn't an easy option because I'm stuck and it's now internalized, leaving where I'm being insulted just puts a small bandage on a huge wound. Neither is blocking because it's some type of phone bot that connects servers to each other (basically on discord). I've been reporting and trying my best, but I've had enough.

Another reason why I say it's not that simple for me I didn't tell them is because I literally have no life, so when I wanna talk to people I go there to talk & meet new people which I have, but there's still those times where I get put down regardless. I struggle to socialize and I'm socially inept because of how much I stay inside. Even then currently school hasn't even started so I don't have anywhere near me I can go currently.

I really want to build resiliency to all of this and unlearn biases. I feel like this community would know how to do it best since racism is a thing literally everywhere and they choose to put us down regardless. How can I do that?

Tdlr: I got into an argument and they ignored how race can be a huge factor. I'm being attacked for my looks. I want to know how to learn resiliency and unlearn biases.

Edit: Wtf I'm being stalked by one of them and they're being weird. The fact that they think a teen girl would waste their breath trying to manipulate the situation, when I'm trying to vent and get advice to get better about this.

How do you survive in a generation (gen z) that puts down people for automatically not being attractive?

I hate this new trend of blackpill rising, a few years ago it was redpill like Andrew tate. Now it has really got a hold of a lot of people, and now I'm affected by incel culture. People who believe in blackpill have been insulting my looks and making fun of me.

I've taken breaks in the past due to this, but even then I internalized their behavior and it's of course adding onto my low self-esteem when I was already insecure. I just finished speaking to one of them and they told me it's over for me and who I date will be very ugly (1/10) and they're just going to be using me.

Honestly this has been happening to me since 2024 in October. I'm tired of their bullshit, and a part of me knows what they say is bullshit but then again I know im not that attractive and will probably have 1/10 people date me.

Genuinely I'm ready to unlearn these behaviors and beliefs, how can I do that? And survive in this generation full of teens and adolescents being indoctrinated by blackpill?

How do i confront someone about a slur they called me 6-7 years ago?

I'm going to a new school with all my childhood classmates, and back in 7th grade (2021) they found me on a game then added me on discord and we talked and stuff. Then I came out as bisexual to them cause one of them made a lesbian joke, some of them were acting weird towards me for being bisexual. Then later on that same day my former best friend called me the f slur. How do I confront her about this respectfully? I really only plan to confront her about this if she tries to be my friend again. If not, then I wouldn't be worried about being lonely at that school, I just want my education and to graduate. I just don't think they should be able to get away with certain shit since I'm coming back.

Just started strattera, I already want to switch to stimulants

I got medicated today and took my first dosage, I ate before and then took the pill then ate again. So far I only feel tired, but I already want to try stimulants because of how long this stuff is going to take. I mean it would probably be worth it in the long run since stimulants have 24 hour coverage, but I just really want it to happen immediately. Depending on how strattera goes for me, it might be a possibility in the future.

How to decenter celebrities And celeb culture

I genuinely feel like lately I can't get them out of my head, especially this one female artist who's very successful and has Grammys. I'm envious of her to the point where it comes out as hatred. I like her music but I just don't wanna like her. I don't know her, I try to humanize celebrities but I feel like I keep getting swept up by the fans of these celebrities and it's like I have to freak-out about them or fan out. I also don't like the advice, "get off the internet," such lazy advice.

I don't like how she's living rent free in my head, I'm just so miserable and envious when it comes to this stuff. I don't like how celebrity culture is almost everywhere. I spend most or all my time on the internet, I just don't want them mentioned. It's like every comment section if someone's doing something they get compared to this artist. If they want respect or to be treated fairly or something they say "You're not \[artist name\]," it's just ignorant.

Don't get me started on comparing myself to the artist either, like how beautiful they are and they appear all glamorous in the music videos. I know that's not how they necessarily live, but they live with a lot of materialistic riches (i.e. mansions, jewelry, dressing well).

Even the fact to some degree I can begin to achieve to be similarly like them it still won't help the envy or insecurity inside of me.

What should I do, what are some ways to stop being envious of celebrities and insecure? Any cbt methods or your personal experiences?

Tdlr: Feeling insecure and envious because of the luxurious life style and beauty celebrities have. Tired of celebrities being everywhere.

Being slandered for wanting mainly black female doctors and stimulation stigma (Ableism & racism)

I made a reddit post asking where in my county and city could I find Black female psychiatrist to get medicated, i got a few comments judging me for wanting a Black doctor and wanting medication for my adhd. I feel like this was also based in racism too due to some people associating wanting drugs from Black people which is such a dumb bias.

I even had one comment saying "It's not 1955, but whatever," (they deleted it now) people were being so arrogant and rude in the post. You don't even know me and you think I just want the drugs to feel euphoric?? Have you not seen my history post, I've been wanting to get evaluated since last year and even after being diagnosed I was worried about being medicated due to the fear of getting addicted but that's less likely to happen if that medication is made for Adhders.

They didn't know why the race mattered and instead of asking why, they jumped to conclusions. I want a Black female specialist/provider because they're more likely to understand the black experience??? I swear redditors think everything in black and white (no pun intended), either something is super positive or super negative. My comments got downvoted just because the echo chamber didn't agree with me.

EDIT : Thank you guys for your comments and for helping defend me, i appreciate it. I feel like lowkey the mods were probably siding with them is why the post didn't get taken down or for the rude comments. I will definitely be more cautious next time because wtf.

How do I find private insurances that take low income to get a Bisalp?

My parents don't wanna support my decision to get it because she believes I should wait til 30, and said "in my little head" I'll be making a future mistake. She said she wouldn't use her insurance for me to get the Bisalp when literally under insurance it can be $0, what she said genuinely pissed me off. Ever since I was 10, I've been saying I don't want kids. And looking at how I am now, it's definitely justified to say that. At the moment I'm 17, but I would wanna get the bisalp by next year or when I'm 19. But now I don't know how I'll afford any insurance since I have no income and jobs I've applied to are not hiring me. What can I do???

Started to lose hope on trying to figure out if I have truly adhd

I was diagnosed last year in October by a school psychologist, but to be officially diagnosed it has to be by another specialist. I was diagnosed with Adhd-Pi, which I'm started to question if I really have it. We're working on getting the insurance for this, which is taking a while but I've discovered a couple things while questioning this like Cognitive disengagement syndrome. I've done a bit of research and tried to figure out and I did relate to both ADHD and CDS. But if I don't get diagnosed with it then I'm just going to have to continue living normally but with a change of habits. I want to get diagnosed but I'm hearing not even medication is proof of true ADHD.

Having trust issues due to not wanting to be friends with individuals who aren't socially conscious and using discriminatory language

This is about making friends in real life and online, i feel like I can't trust anyone because as soon as I know it someone is dropping the n word as jokes or just blatantly saying it, or other similar things in general. I'm tired of vetting people and asking them if they believe or act certain ways because they can just agree to agree and lie to my face. It's happened a few times and I just ended up getting played and mistreated. I don't know how to trust someone that won't be problematic, personally this is different from being flawed like being able to communicate what they're saying or doing is harmful. Even doing that how do I know how they'll handle conflict. I don't want to be associated with these types of people. Especially ones that are toxic to others online like telling them they need to die or to "kill themselves," how can I find people with values such as mine and support similar things I'm into? How can i learn to trust and not continue to get played and disrespected?

Does anyone know any jobs that are hiring in Rockville for teens who want to work?

I feel like none are hiring me, and I'm tired of applying. Does anyone know any or have been hired to any that's hiring and open? Do they have a high acceptance rate too? that'd be great.

If porn doesn't cause OCD then why when people feel guilt and shame about it end up developing it?

I'm genuinely curious as to why the guilt and shame cycle fuel OCD especially if it started from feeling shame about the porn that was watched.
