Meet RiftBurn a villian in my hero verse. (Backstory and basic info in body let me know what yall think :3)

———————————————————————
Abilities:

Wears an advanced helmet that opens a small portal to a dimension of nothing but pure plasma. Allowing him to fire off plasma blasts or beams by opening and closing the portal via small buttons on either side of the masks

———————————————————————
Backstory:

Brett Maxin was once a gifted experimental physicist who worked for a private energy research company attempting to solve the world’s growing power crisis. Brilliant but obsessive, Brett specialized in dimensional theory and believed infinite energy could be harvested from parallel realities. Most scientists dismissed his work as dangerous fantasy, but Brett became consumed with proving them wrong.

After years of secret experiments, Brett finally succeeded in creating a microscopic tear between dimensions. What he found on the other side was not another universe, but a violent realm made entirely of superheated plasma and unstable energy. The moment the portal opened, the laboratory was annihilated in an explosion that vaporized half the facility and killed nearly everyone inside.

Brett survived only because he had been wearing a prototype insulated helmet designed to stabilize the portal frequency. The blast horribly scarred the left side of his body and permanently damaged his nervous system, leaving him in constant agony. But the accident also changed him mentally. During the few seconds the portal remained open, Brett claimed he could hear something speaking from within the plasma dimension—something that showed him visions of limitless power.

The corporation covered up the disaster, blamed Brett for the incident, and erased all evidence of the experiment to avoid public backlash. Hunted, discredited, and physically ruined, Brett vanished.

Months later, he resurfaced wearing a rebuilt version of the experimental helmet, now heavily modified with portal regulators and plasma-resistant alloys. By pressing controls along the sides of the mask, Brett can momentarily tear open precise rifts into the plasma dimension itself. Through these breaches he unleashes concentrated blasts, searing beams, and waves of burning energy hot enough to melt steel in seconds.

Now known as Riftburn, Brett believes humanity is too afraid of progress to evolve. He has dedicated himself to forcing the world into a new technological age through destruction, opening portals across cities to demonstrate the unstoppable power hidden beyond reality itself.

Meet Rootmancer who is basically the poison ivy of my hero verse (lore and basic info in body)

Rootmancer

Jumoku Ne

Age: 42
Origin: shibuya, Tokyo
Affiliation: none

Power(Root Seed): he shoots out seeds from the bottom of his feet that shoot out fast enough to break through concrete to reach soil and once they’re completely encased in soil they sprout roots. He has complete control over their size, shape, and how far the roots grows.

Skills/skilled at: ranged combat, defense, restraining, gardening

Personality: he has a calm, grounded presence that mirrors the steady growth of plants. At first glance, he seems quiet and reserved, someone who prefers observing over speaking, but beneath that is a man deeply enraged by how the world is being harmed

——-——-——-——-——-——-——-—————
(Habits):
Regularly checks soil quality around his hideout

Talks to plants casually, like they’re friends
——-——-——-——-——-——-——-—————
(Character traits):
He’s not the loud leader type, but when he speaks, people listen

Trains consistently

Often studies battlefield environments more than opponents
——-——-——-——-——-——-——-—————
Backstory:

Jumoku Ne was born in the crowded heart of Shibuya, where concrete, neon, and steel drowned out almost every trace of nature. His parents owned a tiny flower shop hidden between apartment blocks and alleyways, and while most children his age dreamed about heroes, Jumoku spent his time learning how to care for plants. He understood soil types before he understood people. He could identify dying roots by touch alone.

As he grew older, he became obsessed with the idea that plants were alive in ways humanity ignored. To him, roots were more honest than people. They grew slowly, patiently, and only took what they needed. Humans, meanwhile, consumed everything around them without thought.

His Power first manifested during middle school. Tiny seeds burst from the bottoms of his feet during an emotional outburst and drilled through the pavement beneath him, splitting the concrete apart. Moments later, thick roots erupted from the ground and wrapped around the alleyway walls like serpents. While others panicked, Jumoku stood frozen in awe. For the first time in his life, he felt connected to something greater than himself.

As an adult, Jumoku studied botany, soil restoration, and urban agriculture. For years he worked alongside environmental organizations trying to restore damaged land across Tokyo. He believed humanity could still coexist with nature if people were willing to change.

Then he watched corporations bulldoze entire green zones for expansion projects. Rivers became polluted. Parks disappeared beneath skyscrapers. Hero agencies protected wealthy investors while ignoring environmental destruction that displaced entire neighborhoods. Every effort Jumoku made to peacefully protect nature was buried under paperwork, politics, or greed.

The final break came when a redevelopment company destroyed one of the last natural gardens he had spent nearly ten years cultivating. The land had become a refuge for both people and wildlife hidden within the city. Despite protests, the area was demolished in a single week.

Jumoku arrived too late to stop it.

Standing in the ruins of crushed trees and torn soil, something inside him changed. He no longer believed humanity would willingly coexist with nature. If the world refused to respect the earth, then the earth would reclaim the world by force.

That was the day Rootmancer was born.

What’s a good power to give to a hero who fights alongside another hero who shoots thermal energy?

The obvious answer my brain goes to is ice/cold guy but let me know what y’all think

Anyone willing to draw my hero oc? I’ll be extremely grateful to anyone who does

TBC he isn’t a fire blaster his body generates thermal energy and that’s what he blasts

Need feedback on this backstory I wrote up for a hero I’m making

Heatcore is the son of a world-renowned bioengineer named Frank Lucas, a man who spent his entire life trying to upgrade humanity. For years, every experiment failed—until one night, while his pregnant wife Skyler Lucas slept, Frank injected her with a new creation: a microscopic organism capable of naturally producing massive amounts of thermal energy.

At first, nothing happened. Frank assumed the experiment had failed and never told his wife what he had done. If only he had known what was really happening.

Months later, when the time came for their child to be born, the temperature in the delivery room suddenly began rising at an unnatural rate. The doctor screamed in pain as he hurriedly dropped the newborn onto the floor, his hands covered in severe burns after touching the child. In that moment, Frank realized the experiment had not failed—it had simply evolved into something he never expected.

The organism had somehow reached Skyler’s womb and fused with the unborn fetus, creating an entirely new organ capable of generating thermal energy. Fortunately, the child’s body adapted to it. His skin, organs, and internal systems all developed extreme heat resistance. Sadly, Skyler’s body had not adapted, and the overwhelming conditions of the birth killed her.

Now alone, Frank was left to raise a child who constantly radiated intense heat. In honor of his late wife, he named the boy Skyler.

The first five years of Skyler’s life were spent in isolation while he learned to control his powers and avoid accidentally hurting others. After that, he lived the next eighteen years like a mostly normal kid—at least during the day. At night, he trained relentlessly, honing the thermal abilities that burned within him.

Eventually, with the support of his father, Skyler donned a pair of heat-resistant goggles and took on the mantle of the superhero known as…

I made a quirk based around solar energy. Let me know how I did please :3 (any feedback is appreciated

Quirk (solar powered):
(Emitter)
——-——-——-——-——-——-——-—————
The user’s body absorbs solar energy like solar panels and uses the energy to generate a field around their body. The user is able to fly and hover by manipulating the field to release controlled concentrated streams of heat acting like thrusters. The user can also fight at range by compressing and focusing solar energy from their surrounding field into directional energy discharges in the form of beams or blasts
——-——-——-——-——-——-——-—————
Pros:

High speed flight

Is able to keep the user warm in cold weather

Long range attacks

——-——-——-——-——-——-——-—————
Cons/drawbacks:

Much weaker and slower at night since the sun’s reflected solar energy from the moon is weaker

Cloudy weather, smoke, or being underground can reduce the amount of solar energy the user can absorb
