Making iced coffee

With the hotter months, I have started making iced coffee with the moka pot.

I make the coffee exactly the same way as I do hot coffee. I then throw ice into a glass with cold milk and then pour in the coffee. Then I stir it and call it done.

Any way to improve this method a bit? I have been looking up recipes and people are doing some fancy things but I am not sure if I am interested in all that. Cant even find a decent youtube video on this.

Employee working late

I encourage work life balance but I have an employee who lives in a time zone 5-6 hours ahead who seems to be on throughout the day and into his nighttime. And when he is OOO, he still logs in and responds to messages

I am not one for micromanaging and have explained that he should be logging off at good times. He of course can be on flexible schedules so if he cant get work done during the day, its okay to make it up later or on another day.

I have frequently asked him about his workload and seems there is no indication he is overworking himself.

Last time I posted here about this I was told to leave him alone and mind my own business. I guess that still stands.

How good or bad is the ipad Mini when it comes to vision?

I have terrible vision. I have been seeing mixed reviews saying the ipad mini text size and all is too small and I have seen others saying its fine but I dont know whats true.

I want to stop straining my eyes when I have to look at a screen.

Is the ipad mini okay for vision? Is it customizable to deal with it?

I am going crazy trying to fix extruder problem

My a1 has been unusable for the past month and decided to try again today. I have been able to load my filament without issue. It extruded and everything. When I start my print, the first one it printed like the first layer or two then I got an error saying extruder is not extruding properly

So I did cold pulls to try again. Ended up loading my filament successfully again and then started a print and this time it didnt even start printing a layer. I ended up getting the same extruder error.

I am at my wits end. What do I even do

Damn. I dont care if mods take down this post. Its almost 5 am and i have not slept at all

I cant afford to travel anymore and have lost my appetite to travel recently and I have my bag stored away and all I want is to pack and go somewhere for several weeks. Had all my cheap gear laid out, ready to go. Used it for several trips last year and this year everything has been crashing down

I am going back and forth in my head about if I need an upgrade or not. Sometimes my tablet is fine, sometimes its not

I purchased my Lenovo duet 3 chromebook tablet in 2022 and its one of those with an attached keyboard and cover so pretty convenient. However I have only had the guts to use it to watch movies or tv shows on. I cant really do anything else on it because multi tasking seems to slow the thing down considerably. I also dont take it with me anymore outside of my house because its a bit bulky.

Even playing any youtube video will have a 5-6 second lag between each video I click. And the battery life seems to be draining pretty fast I have noticed.

The glitchyness on the thing can be absurd especially in tablet mode. There are also phantom touches that happen. So I might be in the middle of a movie and then there will be phantom clicks on the movie or on the menu screen in the toolbar.

Other than that, I appreciate the screen just for playing movies and shows. But I cant really do anything else on it. I would like to be able to have other apps on it, use it for notes or casual browsing, or just have a device to use to stay off the phone.

Does Trader Joes coffee work for the Moka Pot?

My go to grocery store coffee is Lavazza but its about 13-14 bucks per bag. I heard TJ coffee is cheaper. I am thinking of grabbing a few

Anyone with a moka pot, do you use the TJ coffee? Hows the ground size? Fine but not too fine?

Simply weird. My current tablet has been having all kinds of issues like lag and glitches but as soon as I was convinced I needed a new one, all the problems seem to have vanished. Maybe I am hallucinating

I might be in the market for a new tablet and as a one bagger, the space and weight is important. I do need a tablet though for travels and for home use so basically need something that I can have with me at all times while at home

Right now in my set up, I have a Lenovo duet that I bought in June 2022 thats really getting on my nerves and a google pixel 9a and a kindle paperwhite. I dont keep a personal laptop.

I am prioritizing the following

-portability with tablet being light weight and thin

-Great battery life

-performance so I can at least pull up two windows unlike the POS tablet I currently have

I know its up to me but I think I need a little guidance.

My current set up includes a lenovo duet 3 tablet, google pixel 9a phone, and a kindle. Thats it

I purchased my duet in June 2022 for about $275 and its served me well. But the only thing I do is media consumption. The thing is bulky for a tablet and has a keyboard attachment that is glitchy. When I take the keyboard attachment off and its in tablet-mode, the glitchyness is absurd. There have been times where I have been watching a movie and it presses random things like the menu button or resizes the movie screen on its own like its haunted. Its also been lagging a lot between windows and I cant bring up two separate windows without it slowing down considerably and battery is awful. Right now its doing the basics and thats about it.

I want to figure out if its right time for me to buy a new one. I dont know if 4 years is too much or too little. I have also been looking into both android and apple tablets and I am so lost. If it is the right time to buy a new one, I want to prioritize on the following

-performance so I can multitask. My usage is basic - media consumption, learning, etc

-great battery life

-portablity so I can move around with it easily including on travel. I am a one bagger meaning I exclusively bring one bag on weeks or months travel. So space and weight is a big deal.

Also if I did buy a new tablet, what would I do with this old one?

I just need a secondary device to accompany my primary phone and I currently use an iphone se 2 (yeah) but it’s really small and battery is terrible. I just bought it because it was quite cheap. (Typing all of this currently is a struggle from this phone)

I would use it for casual browsing, a few apps, notes, learning a bit.

I want something cheap and budget friendly and hopefully under $300ish. I was leaning toward an Ipad mini 6 given how small and compact it is but with an upgraded screen size for me.

I am seeing some under $300 on bestbuy but amazon seems to have them for $330 or more. I am unsure if its still worth it or if theres a better place or product to look

I am looking for a good place to watch the Manchester United - Liverpool game on Sunday but also want a regular spot to watch World Cup games when that kicks off next month.

Is there any good place where the people are friendly and love talking soccer? And plus points for good beer and food!
