How Would You Rate The Aqua Teen Hunger Forces Seasons?

I was thinking about ATHF and how many seasons there are and I was like watching a bunch of them maybe like 4 or 5 seasons as it was airing if I could before I sleep because I was 12. Were what people would rate the seasons as they went on

Not episodes because if he did epiosde it would be massive. So just rate the seasons in your opinion of each of the seasons.

Ratings options are: Amazing, Good, Fine, Bad.

Final Thoughts After Finishing Static Shock

I think seasons 1 and 2 have more good episodes than 3 and 4 do. But the good episodes of 3 and 4 are better than seasons 1 and 2 episodes easily

Best episode of season 1 "They're playing my song" Worst episode of season 1...lots of season 1 is good nothings bad but the least good is uh "Winds of change" I like all the other episodes more than that episode.

Best episode of season 2 "Frozen Out" Worst Episode "Attack of ther living Brain puppets" that was just stupid, they made a cute character design and the premise was dumb as hell. But bring her back in a latter episode post rehab which she looks the part

Best episode of season 3 "Blast from the past" Worst episode "Toys in the hood" sucked I think other episodes are better than that.

Best episode of season 4-- Season 4 has tons of good episodes, uh "No man's an island" Worst episode-- I could easily say "Where rubber Meets the road" but its "She-back" same reason for winds of change just like, yeah there absolutely no reason for the bickering when the reason she cant joined them is because thats too busted of a team

Is Art Lost In Translation?

Looking back at this article. And recently the family knows I watch anime. Back then they did not and I was thinking of sending them this to see if...she really understands what is being said here. Because if they caught on too early they would be scared of it because its foreign.

"Her voice was changed to make her appeal more to boys in the US"

...Yeah well it worked, I was a 10 year old boy and thought sakura was cute. And I bet the voice did help.

EDIT: seems like many people here feel the same. One day I would love to do what I did for mew mew and do a back to back episodes with cardcaptors and cardcaptor sakura and see all the changes

Burnie: One Day Theres Going To Be A World Without Job

I'm remembering back a podcast around the post 300s where Burnie was talking about how everyone is worried about their jobs to the point they could not imagine a world where they would live without their jobs and what they would do.

And I wanted to know how people feel about that with the advent of robots and AI existing now. With Burnie prophetic predictions surprisingly holding up--

How do you feel about he idea of a no job life?

Reference vs Plagiarism

I was reading this guys post and I was thinking about what is the line in the sand between being inspired or reference vs ripoff or plagiarism. And something came to mind of a scene I was going to get to with time.

For example this scene

Everyone knows what this scene is, its goku watching cell punch the daylights out of gohan because he knows he could reach a level beyond super saiyan

The scene I'll wrote was a character realized someone in the group was hiding they made a pack with a devil to get her powers back and channels it when she needs too. This bothered her so much she wouldn't let her in the car because she was a threat to the others. The only one who did know or suspected something was the street smart character was aware something was but not THAT.

So we have a woman who is know for being incredibly strong, beautiful & composed who was now ugly crying on the ground because her secret was revealed to everyone she was close too. One of them being of the faith.

Street smart standing between faith and devil woman is being told my faith to get away from her. And street smart looks at devil woman crying on the ground. Something she would never thought she would see her in such a condition in her life, despite being told to stay a way, street smart and devil are very much two sides of the same coin in upbringing so she tries to give devil a benefit of the doubt and plays it off like she attained a new power up like faith girl did in a scene before when she learned to turn her power of water into ice improving her skill with her element power .

Naturally faith girl doesn't believe it right away. While our bird character in the RV comes out to see everything going on. One is saying to take her in the car and the other says not to. And makes a quick assessment as the back and forth of do or dont take place between street smart and faith in which bird girl quickly grabs devil and dashes her into the RV much to faith's chagrin and some talking down to by Street smart walks back into the RV but starts to make a cross stake with a sharp end to it to stop devil with through the heart

Street smart holds faith back from killing devil despite devil returning to her normal human form, faith is screaming various insults that bothered devil on an emotional level, like "burn her alive at the stake, drown her in holy water and other things which makes devil woman cry in her pillow

After street smart put some distance between each other in a different part of the RV has a talk with faith and tries to remedy the situation because if they start fighting in the vehicle they will not have a car to drive and need to walk to their next destination.

Street smart uses manipulative lies that devil girl is being possessed and she can be saved which faith in her nature to believe things shes shouldn't & ponders on it as street smart leaves to talk to devil.

Devil is her human form crying her eyes out because...yeah the scene from before. And street smart is just like "so...devil deal huh." and does the same thing for her but um street street smart had her own issue with devil girl before the devil reveal. She thought she was very fake and the perfect woman presentation was a facade felt disingenuous and wanted her own "get back" for a better term for it. So she tells devil to play along with a little idea she had to make all of this better her since shes in more a position negotiate with devil in devils moment of weakness and just wants resolve with everything to be normal again between everyone which makes street smart grin. And tells her the plan

They arrive a location in a dark night to go pick up food because they're running low and fake that devil came back attacked street smart ass street smart plays it up with fake blood packets and some ketchup because she didnt have enough blood packs worried she wasnt going to make it convincing.

Thankfully it did which maid faith transform and go right at devil. And devil is transformed aswell which a mask and full armor and specializes in defense and concentrated light energy something akin to sacred energy but back on topic. her mask is shattered on the first hit from faith and is grabbed thrown out various walls amist of the flurry of punches and kick. Which extend to flying in the air beating devil with all her might

And we get to the scene image

Where basically street smart looking up as faith is punching devil in the face over and over just taking it and devil looks back to street smart on what to do next, and street smart motions with her fingers to keep it going, keep taking hits. Looking back at faith as she continues to do

Street smart looks up and think to herself "the only way this could be better is if..."

And the the same panel again but instead of faith and devil, its street smart punching devil in her human form

and street smart thinks "yeah...if I cant have that then I can accept this result as a suitable substitute. We all get what we want here."

Devil gets beat down the ground and wakes human and acts likes she was under some possession confused at everything which makes faith incredibly happy and hugs her, street smart walks in like everything was resolved as the the human version of devil lady asks if streetsmart wants to join in on the hug as faith agrees she should. Streetsmart says "no I dont think I--" & faith pulls her in by grabing her arm and pulls her into her bosom as her own way of saying thank you.

Later everyone gets in the RV and streetsmart asks human "how do you feel?" as shes riddled with various injuries in her face like a looney tune character when they get beat up. She says "I feel great, better than ever. Streetsmart says "smile" and when she smiles multiple teeth fall out of her mouth which makes stretsmart holdback massive laughter before street smart say "okay then goodnight" and she goes to bed and street smart thinks to herself "I take that back this is way better then if it was me. I could not do THAT to her."

So yeah I think you can have it but have different contexts for scenes to make it feel natural from a original angle of it from the scenes before and after. Its what I do to make it feel new which is my focus often when writing.

What Are You Looking For In Black Main Characters In A Manga?

https://preview.redd.it/h8grg0gfd6gh1.png?width=994&format=png&auto=webp&s=2c51bafc70e540570e632963665b8fdce812816b

I've been reading various titles from Saturday Am and Noir Caesar who was NYCC one time and wondering if this was the time to get into making you're own manga back in 2019. Which influenced me to start making my own.

And naturally the creators idea what is a well written black main character for your manga that like-minded individuals would pick it up and also agree "yeah this is a good way to write this character" while others go "no absolutely not"

Like a static shock vs a bebe's kids kind of deal. where its like "yeah cool its set in the ghetto" or "Stop having the setting being in the ghetto, we dont all live there and im tired of seeing it"

And the one i gravitated to being is Primus 7 and that manga isn't prefect but the are is good characters are interesting. worst thing I could say is the pacing is really fast to give certain scenes to breathe

And on saturday AMs front Clock Striker I really enjoyed and plan to pick up volume 2 and 3 of that. I personally found that was good and its writing being the thing that got me in.

So many titles from both groups seem to have that issue, is the writing for what are good story premises or designs for characters, artist putting 100% of their best work page to page and the writer is like often letting it down or just being passable or okay--like to the point if "someone tried to do this and write it a little better then they would steamroll the other title but if no one else tries then you're number 1.

So are you looking for more black main characters in manga? If so what are to WANT and DONT WANT elements in it?

And you're making one yourself please express your thoughts.

EDIT: Turns out several people in the comments are making their own aswell. Looking forward to reading those

Are There Roosterteeth or Achivement hunter LARPers?

So I learned the term LARPers recently and its not Live Action Role Playing tabletop games as I usually know the term from.

Basicly its a generation of people replaying games of youtubers of old playing the same games and the personalities of them. Think of it as an actor in a movie depicting a figure from the past

And I was wonder if anyone found a channel that was doing for achivement hunter or roosterteeth content.
