Traffic question on Brambleton Ave

This is a scenario I’ve seen many times on Brambleton during various degrees of busyness.

There’s a left turn lane next to the cave spring fire dept (blue arrow in picture).

it’s just before the turn lane to turn left onto 419 Some cars will get into the first turn lane early and then continue going straight into the second turn lane before making their left turn onto 419 (green arrow in picture)

Some cars will stay in the straight lane when going past the first intersection and THEN get into the left turn lane for their turn onto 419 (red arrow in picture).

It gets stressful sometimes in the mornings depending on how busy that area is.

Is the red arrow situation the “correct” way? Just venting/looking for genuine feedback.
