I love my current job but they will not give me more than 7hrs per week.. this has been my second job for awhile and I've transitioned back into becoming my primary job for the time being (this was primary until i moved to full time and it became my second job).. I've already started looking and applying for multiple other jobs 6 weeks ago and have not received any acknowledgement for interviews.. i was denied for Unemployment do to not having a set amount of hrs.. (one week i could work 20 hrs the next could be 7hrs) my current employer right now can not guarantee me more than 7hrs per week unless someone calls out or goes for time off.. I've already considered doordash and similar to get me to 20hrs equivalent in money.. also because my last few paychecks show 20hrs and i submitted a stop work for the full time job i have been approved for EBT at $25/month and I'm over the limit for cash assistance by $50/month (max is $450/month gross) i can't live on $300/month net as that's just barley enough money for gas to get to interviews and live at the same time.. any suggestions for what to do? I might have asked before but I've been asking for hardship for most everything as well and using my food bank as much as they will allow.. this is not where i want to be but I'm making the best i can

I'm looking for a tablet with an 11 inch or smaller screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or newer CPU and 5G cellular and fully compatible in the USA.. not a single company I know of makes one now unless i shell out for a Samsung Fold 7.. i desperately need an upgrade for my Tab S7 (original not FE).. i trier some Samsung and other brand tablets but they are too big or don't come with 5G cellular.. anyone know what there is to buy? If i can find something that supports T-Mobile bands N25/N41/N71 I can finally get rid of my S7 and AT&T account for good

Just got reduced hours at work and I'm not guaranteed hours.. i have been looking for work for 6 weeks and there is absolutely nothing available.. i went to the job search place locally and there's not a single job posting that i qualify for.. I don't want to be a manager and don't want to work healthcare but those are the only jobs available at the moment.. suggestions for what to do to make money while looking for a more permanent job?

I was going to upgrade my current M4 base Mac Mini (16/512) with a m4 base 10 core cpu 32gb ram 512GB model but apple apparently has disconnected all 32GB ram machines and has forced you into an M4 Pro mini 12 core with 48GB of ram instead... In no way shape or form do i need the M4 Pro CPU as the base M4 wasn't even using more than 10% at any given time but i have found out that for my usage i could benefit from 32GB of ram.. the price difference between getting a 32GB base M4 machine vs the M4 pro 48GB is HUGE and about $1k more expensive for the M4 Pro too.. should I just grab the base M4 32GB machine used or should I wait for the M5 base mini to come out? Right now i probably could find a used M4 32/512gb for around $1100-1200.. thoughts? Suggestions?

I bought the Klipsch Flexus Core 100 after weeks of going back and forth on different sound bar reviews and models and I have to say this thing just doesn't sound exactly how I want it for music.. I love Klipsch floor-standing and bookshelf speakers but this sound bar sucks big time... this wasn't intended for music but more for TV shows as it's super boosted in the mid range... the thing just sounds really flat on the low and high end and even tweaked the 3 band EQ and it just lacks in the Treble range especially even when on +6 and dialoge boost on high helps but it still sounds super flat for my liking.. this is a disappointment since my HomePod original v1 sounds way better but just doesn't go loud enough and I can't mount it where I want... I think this might go back unfortunately.. I don't have the space for a bigger bar and this is about the biggest one I can fit in my space.. I might try a Sonos Beam Gen 2 next but for music this sound bar is not the one

After weeks of deciding on a sound bar I just decided to try out the Kilpsch Flexus Core 100 soundbar but I realized I have no way to hook it up... Bluetooth doesn't work on the Mac Mini unless I disconnect my keyboard and mouse and that's not practical.. is there an adapter that converts usb c or Thunderbolt 4 to HDMI for Audio that will work on the soundbar? besides I don't like bluetooth anyways the quality isn't really the best it can be

I have a 5100 btu portable AC for my bedroom that i got awhile ago.. I've got a 10x10 room.. 100sq ft.. from calculating it says i can get away with a 5k btu AC.. I don't get extra sun exposure since my room is on the back of the house with heavy trees for shade.. it's only myself in the room... temperatures are normally 70-85F in the summer but most days it can not cool below 65F at night especially when the outside temperature is 70F+.. i didn't want to get a 7k or 10k btu portable AC because that would be overkill for the room.. any suggestions for what to do to improve the cooling and get temperatures down? I have a feeling the internal thermometer isn't working correctly but I just want it to stay at 60F in the room so i can sleep.. at the time of purchase i couldn't get a unit with dual hoses above 5k BTU so i went with this one..

I'm due for removing one of my teeth that has been laying sideways for years.. hasn't hurt ever in over 10 years but now it's pushed into my cheek and it's painful and feels like I've been shot up with Novocaine on that side so my cheek feels numb but i can still feel the pain from the gums/tooth.. can't barley talk.. i would have it checked out at the dentist but i have no insurance and no money for out of pocket.. i don't even qualify for payment plans of any kind.. anything i can do to reduce the pain so i can at leat talk or suggestions for severely reduced or free dental surgery or similar? Just started hurting when i lost dental insurance this month and the last 3 days its been hurting but after 3 days of pain i can't stand it anymore

EDIT: Ibuprofen did help to cut the sharp throbbing although i still had the Novocaine numb feeling in my cheek which i can deal with.. ibuprofen only lasts 4 hrs for me and the pain is back at full force.. cold water and ice in the affected area did not cause me pain but relieved it.. I'll call the dentist in the morning and see what I can do.. I'm surprised it didn't cause any pain for at least the last 12 years until now knowing my tooth next to where my wisdom teeth are is all the way horizontal

I wanted to invest in a few mutual funds with my IRA retirement money because it will give better return in the long run and they are doing really well at the moment but the ones I want to buy are not available to buy without a minimum amount spent.. I wanted to buy into JLGMX and CISIX and PIFZX but they require a minimum buy in 1000+x more than I currently have (1,000,000.00-5,000,000.00 minimum buy in) anything very similar I can buy into with no minimum preferably? or is there something else you would recommend? I would like to get as much away from U.S. Treasury Bills and U.S. Treasury Coupons as right now everything is in there (core position)

i'm looking to move my pre-taxed 401k to a Traditional IRA but I don't know if now is the correct time.. I already received my final paycheck with all my payouts... I know I will get the employer contributions returned back to the company... how do I know if it's time to transfer?

I've been selling on Poshmark for a few years now but have not gotten many sales.. could be how I'm selling but besides Poshmark and eBay where could you sell items? I don't need all the data to be prioritized just a set amount but I would like to be above postpaid consumers and business customers for priority all the time when using my bucket... has anyone seen these plans available?

been using Starlink since 2020 when it became avalible in my area on Gen 2 hardware... this is the only thing that has given reliable 100mbps down here (sometimes up to 200mbps down).. could not work with 10/0.5 dsl any longer.. it is just too slow even in 2020... since T-mobile has bought out sprint speeds have been very good in my area but signal at the house can only really get 30mbps down without any major equipment upgrade... i'm looking into an outdoor enclosure with directional antenna... would this gain me any speed increases? T-Mobile 5G is really good but T-Mobile LTE sucks big time here.. what do you think? looking to reduce my plan costs as well if possible but if I could get more consistant speeds from the same price that would be good too

i'm looking at replacing my wheels on my ebike from 26 to 24 or 20 inches... i'm having a hard time getting off my bike and I'm always falling off the bike.. I can not stop in an emergency without the possibility of falling off the bike.. I know I loose top end without any upgrades but that doesn't affect me as I normally like to ride at 10-12 mph with little pedal assist what would be needed? I know i might have to switch my pedal crank arms for 20 inch wheels if it's over a 2 inch drop but it is literally cheaper to do this swap vs spending the money on a whole new bike. thoughts? suggestions?

i've got a pre-taxed 401k at fidelity i'm looking to rollover to Traditional IRA in Fidelity.. i'm looking at investment options for said Traditional IRA.. what would you do? currently fidelity CD are better than any of the banks I have now... can i put it in an IRA CD or is there a better option for high APR investments you would reccomend? I'm looking at putting an additional $600-1200/year into retirement after this as well... suggestions? recommendations?
