So long story short, about 6 years ago I noticed that my almost 18 y/o Extensa 4630z was becoming so slow that it was unbearable, it had Windows XP btw, so I figured I'd give him to a friend to help me make it faster (I didn't know a thing about PCs) so... he ended up installing FREAKING WINDOWS 10 ON IT, windows 10 on a Pentium CPU, 2 GIGS OF RAM MACHINE, so yeah that laptop really suffered, booting, opening aps, and even typing on that laptop was so unbearable, some programs took over minute to open lol, so it ended up in my closet for years without use.

Last week, I thought I can revive this machine by installing a linux distro instead of windows, this time having some PC knowledge, I tried everything but no OS worked (compatibility issues ig), however, Lubantu 16.04 (32 bit) was different, it was the only one to work and I will admit, I have never seen my laptop perform this smooth my entire life, every process is immediate it's almost unbelievable!

I just wanted to share my experience, and to help anyone still struggling to install linux on an ancient laptop for compatibility issues, Lubantu seems to work just fine!

So I wanna revive this laptop i have from around like 2008 and it has 250gb HDD, 2 gigs of ram, and an ancient pentium cpu, and want good performance, maybe also run very old versions of minecraft for my sibling, i want to do it for fun so I won't be buying an SSD or more ram, I'm not familiar with linux at all, which one to download? Thanks for helping!

Update: Downloaded Lubantu 16.04 32 bit, works like a charm, no other OS worked for me unfortunately.

So this is my literal first time getting into ROM stuff and I have successfully downloaded CRDroid v6.21 Android 10 on my Galaxy j7 2016 j710F, however, I can't seem to fix wifi problem, it isn't even showing me nearby connections but then some other times it works, idrk what's happening with it so I ask some kind soul with experience to help me solve it and I'd appreciate it.

Literally just download throttlestop V9.2, it surprisingly just works.

I got one of these cheap capture cards but later discovered it is USB 2.0, games are unplayable and I can't even do 720p@30fps without extreme stuttering and lagging, will a USB 3.0 or thunderbolt one solve the issue and the delay entirely?

I have a gtx 1050 and i7 7700HQ, 8 GB ram if all that matters.

I love a girl whose family and mine meet quite often so we have to meet often, I sometimes prefer avoiding these family meets because even being around her feels like dying inside, even though I lower my gaze, try not looking at haram at all, but Allah is testing me with this girl so much that I'm now in excessive mental pain and this is kinda the most mentally painful I've ever felt. I don't even look nor talk to her but I can NOT get her off my head all the day, knowing that idk if I'll get the chance to marry her and even if so, I can't marry her until I be financially ready after quite a long time, she's literally the perfect fit for my standards and that is killing me hard inside.

I just want everyone who reads this to pray for me because I posted this only to ease my pain. May Allah make it easy on me and grant me her.

Edit: Okay I really should have clarified this, I don't love her based on physical aspect only, but we have lived a childhood and knew each other quite well, I just stopped talking with her once she put her hijab on.

So I'm nearly 18 years old and decided to learn swimming, and tbh I have a big fear of water and deep pools, but I decided to let go of these fears and actually learn swimming.

So here I go to the pool and the trainer/coach is with me, I learn how to walk in the pool, how to float with and without a kickboard, so now I "kinda" know how to float and how water feels like, and then all of a sudden the coach just wants me to go to the middle row of the DEEP POOL and start implementing the tiny bit of info I learnt, obviously I panicked but actually decided to swim across the pool with the kickboard (keep in mind I still don't know how to breathe properly or adjust myself the right way) I ended up swimming across the pool nearly 30 times, the day ends here.

I start the second day, I want to warm up and get the hang of it again on the 1 meter pool but was surprised with the coach refusing, he wants me to get the hang of it in the deep pool, learn EVERYTHING ELSE there and just forget about the 1m pool, so I was forced to start and obviously swallowed a lot of water even though I used the kickboard, I continuously failed to adjust myself, my breath was so heavy , and I got tired instantly, I just refused to continue, he genuinely expects someone who fears water to jump in the middle row of a deep pool, learn new moves and do mistakes there immediately! Is this really how swimming should be taught? Parents are blaming me and are forcing me to continue with him, and I honestly have developed a phobia by now.

Am I missing something here? Please no hate I just need clarification.

So I chose to kill Shimura, and I've never ever been this emotional about a video game or a character's death, I don't even cry on games but I genuinely felt I was about to, like we started the game fighting in his side, rescued him from the Khan, reunited with him to defeat the mongols and after all of the training flashbacks and the cinematic moments with Jin and his uncle... Jin killing his uncle and crying was so cinematic and actually hurt my soul, but I felt it was the more real ending. 10/10 ending though and the second best game I've ever played.
