There is nothing wrong with a woman who is not basking in the joy of motherhood, especially right after the childbirth

In the tragic event of Hayden Panettiere's death, I decided to watch her interview on Jay Shetty Podcast to understand the psychological state she was in, and learned that Neutrogena suspended its contract with her when she publicly talked about her postpartum depression.

Add to this Lindsay Clancy's case and we have a clear picture about the devastating neglect and judgment women experience when they dare to talk about their depression and often inability to cope.

They judge women when we don't want to have children, once we do, we're on our own, all alone.

Are there people who run A/B experiments and do statistics/data projects without knowing what p-value is?

I mean just doing each step, but not having fundamental understanding about the essence of p-value and other statistical notions?

Favourite political thriller/crime shows of people who have enough highbrow taste to be in this sub

Not films, but shows/series

Something like Danish series Forbrydelsen or Borgen if you're familiar.

First time posting a selfie in this sub - I'm constantly mistaken for an INTP, INTJ, and INFJ. People never assume I'm actually an INFP 😅

You can't make this up

I'm an Armenian woman and met a British guy online and told him right away I'm not interested in having children. He asked why and I said because I don't have any desire and energy and he started to persuade me saying we could hire a nanny.

This was our second conversation. He also said he earns 29K annually, and was already enthusiastically discussing tech centers in his city where I could get certified to start working as a software engineer/data scientist when I moved there.

He obviously thought he could use my body as an incubator for a kid and my bank account to hire a hot nanny to feel better about himself.

Similar story happened to my Chinese female friend in tech who was approached by an American guy who had a degree in film studies and couldn't find a job.

Phew...

33 INFP [F4M] #WestAsia - A childfree woman looking for her soulmate

Hi,

I'm a demisexual woman looking for a CHILDFREE, long-term relationship with a man where emotional and intellectual compatibility comes first. To me, the strongest romantic relationships are the ones where your partner is also your closest friend.

A little about me:

I'm naturally introverted and happiest with a quiet life. I'm honest, direct, empathetic, curious, imaginative, and always questioning things. I can be shy and socially anxious, spend a lot of time reflecting and daydreaming, and I'm endlessly fascinated by understanding people and the world around me.

Some of the things I enjoy are spending time in nature, camping, cooking, 70s films and music, anime, true crime, philosophy, cognitive science, art, tarot, and other esoteric topics. I've read more than 700 books and speak four languages.

I'm hoping to meet someone who is kind, emotionally mature, honest, dependable, protective, has a stable direction in life, and never wants children.

If you're interested, tell me a little about yourself—your personality, hobbies, passions, and what you're looking for in a relationship.

And if you're a woman who's simply looking to make a new friend, feel free to message me too. I'd love to meet new people. :)

How do couples in Dutch households handle finances?

Does each spouse have his/her own bank account and then a joint one where they contribute 50/50 or some other ratio (say 70/30) based on respective salaries proportionally? Or do you combine all your income with no independent, separate account on the side?

And how do you split household chores in those cases?

How do you think finances should be handled in relationships?

So we're this sensitive, calm, chill, often shy, passive, type B people... often having trouble to adjust to this cut-throat capitalistic system... but that's often what we're forced to do to survive and avoid taking advantage of our spouse.

I wonder how you view financial fairness in marriage? Do you expect/hope a man will financially take care of you? Solve your problems? Do you wish you could just keep drawing and get minimum income or other part-time job that's not stressful and be supported by a man who takes the majority of financial burden on him?

Or are you into an egalitarian relationship? In this case do you prefer to have independent bank accounts and split 50/50 or other ratio relative/proportional to what each earns? Or would you rather combine all your incomes?

Do you prefer a man to pay on the first date? What about the second one?

I'm an INFP woman and I'm so confused. I need to hear opinions and advice is welcome if you have a model that actually works.

As a Sagittarius who is often mistaken for an Aquarius because of her avoidant tendencies and eccentric ideas... I think LAT might be the best option for us...?

I love my freedom so much that I've been single for almost a decade. I also don't like commitments when it comes to friendships. I'm childfree because I can't imagine myself being attached to another person in that way.

However, I've started to desire some kind of consistent, loving presence in my life.

What do you think about Living Apart Together (LAT)? Do you also need your own space a lot? How would you imagine an ideal relationship setup?

I don't want to pay more if I earn more with my spouse

I (33F) often hear that people should contribute/split finances based on their respective earnings, proportionally, not 50/50, but I would never pay 70% and agree him to pay only 30% even if I earned twice as much as him. While I'd expect him to pay 70% if he earned more and wouldn't mind him to contribute more even if we earned equal amounts.

Paying more would make me feel masculine or like his mom, a huge turn-off. Like I'd no longer view him as a man and he wouldn't even arouse me.

I have pretty chill, passive, type B personality, I always feel the need to feel financially protected myself, I love when a man solves my problems. But I don't want to take advantage of anyone (especially bc I'm childfree, so I'm not going to give him kids), so I'll pay 50% but never more than that, happily far less or nothing if he agrees.

Am I being unethical?

Have you noticed how tasteless the covers of books published by American publishers are compared to European and Japanese ones?

I wonder if you've noticed the lack of elegance in many book covers. It’s as if no aesthetic effort was invested in choosing a visually pleasing design. I find this strange, given that the US is the most ultra-capitalist, marketing-oriented country that tries to monetize every aspect of existence.

Why such negligence?

Are dating subreddits cesspools full of the worst men?

As a woman, I've posted in these subs a few times, and I get 700 messages minimum within a day. These are subs where people supposedly look for something serious. I quickly filter out like 60% as they're NSFW, then the rest are aimless incels with zero social skills or skills in general (employment, education) like they cannot create family because they themselves haven't yet individuated. Then there are men who are married and just want to kill time. Or within 15 minutes you know why they're still single in their 30s - they sound manipulative, controlling, chauvinistic. I cannot believe that I cannot get messages from 5 decent datable people out of all these 700 messages.

Or am I wrong to give these subreddits a chance?
