Just tell the truth and hear people out

I think one of the shows theme's that carries over well to the real world is that a lot of people's problems are the result of society all collectively choosing to hide problems and lie for their job or legacy.

Homelander is the most obvious example of this. He really never needed Vought.... if he just told America how he was born and what Vought did to him, he could've been a hero. There's no NDA on the planet that could actually stop him. The same goes for The Deep and his body image issues, A-Train and his fears about the speedster industry, all of the supes that accidentally hurt someone, etc.... A lot of the characters are bad but they double down on hiding their insecurities with their place in the system. Their brand could've included their life's struggles and like Starlight it might've even improved their appeal. I know I'm overthinking a show like this, but a lot of people irl turn to a substance or develop emotional problems because they feel they can't show any weakness to others.

I think the theme is also one of the reasons why the latter seasons of The Boys sucks a bit. A lot of moments in the show boil down to "Homelander, you're just a little baby and without your superpowers your nothing!".... it's not that fun for me to see Homelander get mocked when we know he literally got put into ovens and set on fire as a child. The writers want you to laugh at their world's most abused human being ever. It's a very strange message to send in a serious way

tl;dr a lot of the show's and real world's problems could be fixed if people felt they could be vulnerable

I have never followed Metokur, does he really have cancer?

I can’t tell if he’s actually been struggling with cancer for more than a decade and is wheelchair bound or if this is just some fan joke. Never heard of anyone surviving this long with late stage cancer.

R-AgainstHateSubreddits is promoting a false narrative about this sub supporting ban evasion

Do not go to AgainstHateSubreddits for any reason. They will use your traffic to cry victim and get this subreddit in trouble.

Their sub is essentially a brigading sub given a pass by the Admins for being on The Right Side of History

To clarify things:

This is a sub for the comedian Charls Carroll, a member of Million Dollar Extreme and Co-Founder of The Palace.

We do not support ban evasion. Any members of Rapeson who have not broken any rules on Reddit are welcome here.

We have not supported the linking of alternative subreddits. This is a lie. If any lone gunmen on this sub has supported such, report their comments.

We don’t support any of the hate speech forms listed above and we have received a substantial amount of false reports recently, so We suspect this sub will become a target of “anti-hate” communities for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately we’re going to likely quarantine the sub again and remove anyone that posts anything in the ballpark of “hate speech”. True Greasers will be let back in. If you’re obsessed with whatever the X talking point of the day is you’ll probably get kicked.

Finally, we have had some nice rules for our sub for months. If you feel like helping me clean up the sub before quarantine, flag everything that violates the rules. We need all the shitposts cleaned up.

Do not go to AgainstHateSubreddits for any reason. They will use your traffic to cry victim and get this subreddit in trouble.

EDIT: For the next 2 weeks it’s text only.

What’s the point?

The average American lives into their 70’s and 80’s with a poor diet that tastes very good. This diet tastes way worse and you’re likely going to live a similar quality of life. Why do you even bother with this diet?

I feel like a polygamous relationship would almost be better for bi women than straight men.

I’m not a bi woman, but if I was I’d want a wife and a husband…. and I’d love it if they loved each other too. My wife and I wouldn’t have to think about sperm donation for whoever wanted kids, and the kids dad would still be in the picture helping out emotionally and financially.

I’m sure I’m not the first person to frame things this way, just mentioned a way that polygamy might work well in places where girl/girl sexuality is accepted, for atheists or pagans maybe.

I want a girlfriend that hasn’t slept around and likes me

I am a guy and I can’t really separate sex from intimacy. I don’t sleep around or look at porn and I don’t think it’s respectful to my future wife or think it’s cool in any way. The modern dating world just feels like swinging and I don’t really enjoy it. You can’t really express this anywhere as a guy without people getting mad.

The one design piece that always draws my eye…

Is Neytiri’s stretched ears! It always reminds me of 2009-2013 when I saw people irl getting gauges. I bet a few people got them because of her.

How do you guys feel about the Freemasons?

Pros:

  1. They give theists who don’t know what religion is right a good space

  2. They kind of built America, one of the four or five secret societies that actually did something

  3. Their group is aging, it’s an Empire to inherit

Cons:

  1. They’re not as cool as the illuminati, but just as hated

  2. It might be a total neutered LARP now

  3. It might not be a LARP but it might be subverted or a vassal for some other evil factory

  4. It might have just always been an evil factory
