Wildlands is one of my favourite games of all time. I liked Breakpoint as well but the story and the dead map kind of killed the buzz for me.. the core gameplay is great but the world seemed so empty. The setting of wearing civilian clothes and walking through towns and villages taking down the cartel, moving from province to province eliminating the leaders and learning about their roles in the organization and personalities… truly an amazing experience. When I moved to the Series X and my new TV I really tried to go back to older games with choppier graphics and 30FPS but Wildlands was one in particular that really didn’t hold up that well. So alas, one of my favourite games hasn’t had a playthrough in quite some time. I saw other older Ubi titles get FPS updates, I replayed Farcrys and Assassins Creeds… but I just accepted that Wildlands wasn’t getting any love. With this new announcement I’m actually stoked to go back and do a complete play through again! I think I’ll go province by province getting 100% of the missions, intel and items. Move to a new spot across the map and redo the crew with outfits for that biome, continue on until the game is done. Shitballs boys I’m excited!!
