Started off with a new house painting company. Which is a different flow from my usual Industrial work. It’s much more lax. But I noticed they don’t do half of the stuff that I was taught with houses. I was asked to prime and paint all wooded trim. Minimal caulking, no scraping or sanding just over it. Lots of overspray on tiles and shingles. (We only cleaned a certain ones. We didn’t even paint the metal shingles under the tiles to make it looks nice at least. Is this normal?

So I’m a first year apprentice. Started off in the industrial side (colleges, jails) But I just landed my first residential gig 🏠 what’s the best way to backroll I wanna impress everyone.

Do you recommend any certain brush or angle I’d love to hear it all.

I was wondering if anyone here works in a workplace where politics has everyone on edge and tense? I work in construction and we have our little mini civil wars. On one side some guys can’t stand Trump and are hardcore union. Then you got some guys that are union but vehemently support the right wing. Then we got Non-union Mexican guys that are against Trump but hate unions lol it’s just a cluster fuck. Anyways the tension is pretty crazy. The racist taggings in the stalls don’t help. Is it just in construction?

So basically when I was 19 years old I had a strange experience which I believe was an abduction. I have never shared this anywhere else but I think it’s time. I’m almost 40. This happened around a time I was really really into metaphysical and UFO subjects. I devoured book after book. So basically one night. In the middle of bed I woke up in the middle of the night. In between sleep and awake I saw 3 orange orbs literally come through my TV or wall I can’t recall exactly. I remember them circling above me and a bright flash light almost like someone took a picture coming directly down. My immediate reaction was to wake up my girlfriend who was laying next to me. I remember me trying to scream out but unable to do that or move. Specially, I remember a loud womp sound. Womp womp womp. Like a weird generator sounding thing. I also remember this weird electrical antsy like feeling all over my skin. At that moment I recall being lifted up into this weird bright light. To be completely honest I was scared shitless. I couldn’t scream or kick which was my immediate reaction. At that moment I kind of gave up and my brain felt like it just shut off. Then bam. I wake up. It wasn’t a dream…

I live with 2. Never been to prison. But I avoided a 5 piece combo by taking a strike with time served. On my first one. My second one I had a 8 year suspended sentence with 5 years probation and a strike. And I beat it too. It sucks and it’s stressful. …I gotta take a lot of shit and walk away from things and situations…can’t be at bars or parties. Cut off hella homies. I just smoke my weed and stay home. But that’s okay. I love Freedom. Don’t let the system trap you homies. C/S

Been out of work for a few months. Currently in a trade school program (Non-Union). But it’s been slow as hell. I applied elsewhere in the meantime. And got the call today. I mainly have experience in Industrial work. Jails, colleges, etc. Never done houses or cabinets. It’s more lax. It’s 2 man crews to a house. This would be my first time painting houses. I’m starting off back rolling. Need advice. Thank you. 🙏

Though I agree there is a push by plutocrats to pin us against each other. That doesn’t negate the fact there are people in this country that legitimately hate black, brown, Muslims and LGBTQ people. I don’t like this talk from libertarians that we if “just set aside our bullshit and unite it will all go away”. The truth is we are fundamentally different in our views of America. There is irreparable damage done I just don’t think we can co exist and mingle with MAGA or the current right wing populace. They really supporting antifascist getting arrested in MN. They supported the death of Pretti and Good etc. How could we ever unite with these types of people?
