I have a detective indie show I sorta want to share
There is no specific genre it is like a mix of Sci-Fi, adventure, comedy, dark, and probably a couple more you will have to wait and see. I have only written the beginning and I want to share it with you.
In a dull gray city with forest green shrubs in the middle of the streets. It is raining. We see Michael thrown out of his apartment by the collar.
Landlord: “AND STAY OUT YOU BRAT!”
Michael stays on the copper sidewalk on his hands and knees. He wipes some blood from his nose, and flips off his landlord.
Michael: (groans softly)
Landlord: (Tch) “Unbelievable. Can’t even say a comeback. Had to do that damn stupid hand sign.”
The landlord slams the door and Michael stands up and puts his hands in his leather jacket’s pockets with his pinky and thumb out on both hands. He walks while looking at the copper sidewalk disappointed in himself. A paper flies into his face and he takes it off and reads it.
The paper: “Are you struggling? Do you need a job? All you need is creativity, suspicion, and being able to fight. 18 dollars an hour! Join now by calling this number 555-0183 to become a-“
The rain washed the final part of the ink off the paper, and Michael grabs his phone and types the number quickly into his contacts. The paper gets so wet that it starts ripping apart.
Michael: (in his head) “God damnit. I need a job though what if this one is getting mashed up into meat for the vampires. I don’t want to end up like Henry.”
The camera starts panning to a graveyard, and we see a gravestone
Gravestone: “Henry 2089-2116 Turned to a meat pie by vampires”
The camera pans back to Michael calling the number.
Michael: “Hello anyone there?”
The phone makes a sound the mix of an elk bugle, a garbage truck, and screaming. A voice with a mix of a Australian and German accent comes on.
Dennis: “Hello there mate are you here for the open detective spot?”
Michael: “Possibly”
Dennis: “Well what could we do to entice you in more?”
Michael: “You know, maybe letting me have a taste of what the job will be like?”
Dennis: “nyuhuhuuuu your a tricky customer. Alright well you can come over to Tenward avenue, and go to the west of the sign. There should be a shorter building that is pure black, and a bit musty feeling.”
This is stated with Michael walking through the city. The screen fogs up and Michael sees the sign for Tenward avenue, and he goes west of the sign. He then sees a black small rectangle building with blue shine from the windows. This building is smaller than most of the other buildings there. Michael walks up to the double doors and knocks on it.
Im sorry that It isn’t in well a good format I wanted to write it down quick when I got the idea. I want to know your thoughts and some goods about it and you know constructive criticism on what I made.
