Even Bad Pizza in NYC is Sometimes Bad....As Evidenced by....

I would think given it's the world mecca of pizza, that bad pizza there is still decent, but nope, I found a place called Roma Pizza on 8th Ave. that I picked because the reviews were decent, you could eat inside, and it was literally around the corner from the theater I was going to. This place was really bad. Definite Top 5 worst pizza places I've ever eaten anywhere. I don't know how people could like it or prefer it. I think it's the first pizza I've had in NY that I truly did not enjoy on any level.

why do they sometimes have movies for really short periods?

for example, there’s a movie called sneakers I’ve been wanting to see that was only on prime for one month in July . This movie is from 1992. Is it really that expensive to get the rights to? It’s not very frequently on any streaming. I did watch it on there, but it was only the last day when I realized that oh it’s only gonna be on there for a month.

The muffins shrank!?

it looks like since the past week or two they are making the muffins smaller. So they not only raised them to $6.74 a pack but they’re now not even as big as they were. I’ll just get my muffins at BJ’s. What the heck.

Why didn't Chris believe this guy?

He came across as very honest to me, and I don't know why Chris didn't believe him. Sometimes these are really just good guys where there's a misunderstanding of some sort. He always assumes the worst in people.

Just watched TOTE - What the heck!?

At the end of Episode 5, it was hella cringe and confusing. Apparently there was a non-binary Jedi, and the Inquisitors make sure to get the pronouns right, just after one of them slaughtered an entire village of innocent people, but they won't dare misgender anyone to their credit! It really breaks immersion, and it's even shocking how something this out of place/bizarre made it in to the script. Ridiculous most of the people on here seem to not find this extremely weird.

Why does the stock market go down because of Iran news?

So it's good for business to make peace with a terrorist regime? It would be much better for business to remove them and get a friendly government back in power there that represents most of its people much more accurately, and you know, doesn't murder their own citizens, attack its neighbors, arm terrorist groups that have killed people from many places, threaten to wipe Israel off the map, etc... All things that are better for business IMO.

TIL Stop & Shop is a Bad Faith Partner of Tillamook....

For those who did not know, Tillamook gave away like 20,000 free ice cream coupons a week or so ago. Stop & Shop is one of the stores that carries their stuff here. They flat out refused to take the coupon because of "fraud"... They wouldn't take it printed, wouldn't scan it from the email, etc. These coupons don't say that some stores may refuse it. Very annoying. Each one has a unique serial #, a QR code....and there is a hard limit of how many there are. I complained to both companies. NOT cool.

How did someone as good as Antonius Pius become such a successful Emperor?

Apparently he was just a really good person, nobody had anything negative to say about him, and he was extremely compassionate to everyone... and for an Emperor, this is rare... you could say Marcus Aurelius, but I think he was more tragic in that he had to deal with serious military threats and plague. Also, he was not so tolerant towards Christians as Antoninus.

Hypothetical Tabitha Question?

Let's say she never wanted to go back to the town, would she have had to stay in a populated area forever and not go on any winding roads without cars? It seems that's what leads you to end up in the town...

Is this normal for my iPhone15 Pro Max battery?

I was at 88% battery health at 1000 cycles on my iPhone15 Pro Max, and 20 cycles later I am down to 83%. I know it recalibrates once in awhile, but that seems like a big drop. I may need to start thinking about upgrading when the next one comes out. Not sure I should wait another year when my battery is already down to 83.

Upset About Treatment. Thoughts?

There is a big conference happening right now in the UK(I am in the US) that I had went to last year with a client, and my company had been very supportive of it then. I got a few leads that didn't pan out, but I didn't get on the conference app until barely before the event and a good part of my attention was distracted with arranging interviews for the client at the conference, so I was not able to fully network.

This time I just needed my company to cover travel, because the rest would be handled in one form or another. They said they "did not have it in the budget" now because clients aren't paying on time.. I thought business was picking up again, so I don't know, but they seemed totally disinterested in my request. This conference has a TON of people who could potentially want PR with us. It's full of right of center organizations, all sorts of different businesses, a lot of people going are well-to-do, etc. I have brought clients to the company before.

All I required was MINIMUM support to give me a shot at it. I could've fronted those costs myself, but I thought it set a bad precedent for me to do that(Plus I am overdue for a raise), and after 7 years I think I deserved a bit more than that. You're not willing to put up $2,000 maximum for a decent chance that I will bring back at least one client? Of which you're already in the black after just one month of them signing with us. This is a small firm, so there's not a lot of bureaucracy. I had multiple people wanting to meet with me in person there. Some may consider us anyway, but some won't because we didn't meet, and the others may be less inclined because we didn't get that in-person connection.

Instead I am extremely upset.... and it makes me wonder about a future here if things are REALLY as bad as they say(this seems to happen every so often). This conference is really a very rare opportunity, and there is certainly nothing else like it in the world. Even the ones we've been to in the US I think don't quite compare.

The Only Courtside Celeb Fan Who Deserves Respect....

Spike pays for his courtside seats so he is never beholden to management, he doesn't take handouts like the rest of these celebs. Ironic that when you have more money than you can ever know what to reasonably do with you'll jump at the chance for freebies.

Why is EWR-SYD the same price as EWR-LON?

It's the same price to fly to Australia as England now? For a journey 3X longer. Huh!? How does that make any sense?

why do people still watch this?

How many years have they been excavating this island? There’s nothing worth finding there. And they keep saying they’re so close to the truth, in reality they’re getting paid a lot of money from history channel so they’re just trying to get as rich as possible. There’s nothing there, they will never find anything there because their theory is not true and not based in any fact.
Even the intro to this show is a lie about the number of people that have died. And this is not a history show. it’s just a reality show basically.

How is Bilbo still rich?

How is Bilbo still rich after like 60 years?
He didn’t appear to operate a business, there’s not a stock market to invest in, etc.. It doesn’t make sense.
The money will run out eventually without growth

what was up with that ending?

So he actually doesn’t die at the end? Why would they end it that way? That’s like a Sopranos type ending. In some cases that kind of end can work, but for this, it’s very annoying. I think that was kind of disrespectful to the viewers. But they did some other stupid stuff. Like they didn’t want to kill a kid, so they killed the father instead.
