4-5 Hours was NOT Enough for the Imperial War Museum

I went there my last day before flying home, and I had 5 hours. At a certain point I was skimming through because it just wasn't enough time. I could've spent two full days there if I took my time. Really thought it was quite a gem, and conveniently only an 18 minute walk from my hotel.

Best cheesecake flavor?

I've tried the oreo and the reese's one, on the plus side they are two of the larger slices.. on the downside I think they're too rich. I get why the most popular is plain with strawberries. Any other suggestions? I gravitate towards the taller slices though too.

Why give business to places that don't make their own ice cream?

Going out for ice cream is already WAY more pricey than buying it in the store, at least give your business to places with homemade ice cream. Why go to some place buying the same stuff anyone can buy in a grocery store and selling it as a super high markup?

How can Britain survive three more years to a general election?

Look at all the damage done in under two years. People complain about the American system, well, it's highly undemocratic that 1/3rd of the vote = 2/3rds of the seats in the HoC, and these muppets are doing massive damage that could be irreversible in another three years..

question about clubs for those with experience

if I’m going to a 4:10 game and the ticket says I can enter the gates at 1:40 are they going to be serving drinks or food that far before? Or is it 90 or 60 minutes before? I want to get there on time but not before there’s anything out there. And for anyone who has been, what did you think of the Cadillac club? Although it seems like Delta blows everything out of the park. Also, apparently you can walk right up to the bullpen?

The Generosity of BC - What an Extraordinary Man

In September 2025, Brandon Clarke celebrated his 29th birthday in a way that perfectly reflected the kind of person he is generous, selfless, and deeply committed to helping others. Rather than focusing on himself, Clarke chose to turn his special day into a celebration of giving back to the community and making a lasting difference in the lives of children.

During a visit to KIPP Collegiate Elementary School, Clarke surprised a classroom of second graders with a remarkable $1,500 donation to support literacy awareness, books, and educational resources. For many people, that alone would have been an incredibly meaningful contribution. But in an even greater display of kindness and personal sacrifice, Clarke gave an additional $2,000 of his own money, bringing the total donation to an extraordinary $3,500 for ARise2Read.

The size of the donation spoke volumes about Clarke’s character and generosity. On a day when most people would spend money on themselves and celebrate their own lives, Clarke chose instead to invest in the futures of young students and the power of education. His willingness to make such a substantial financial sacrifice for children he simply wanted to help showed a level of compassion and humanity that few people possess. It was not just a birthday celebration, but a powerful reflection of a man whose greatest joy comes from lifting up others.

Does anyone know if/when the recipes for the muffins were changed?

I haven’t gotten muffins there much in many years, but I did not like them back in the day. I’m still not sure if I like them better than Sam’s and BJ’s muffins but I will say I do enjoy them now. My only caveat is I tend to prefer a little fluffier rather than denser, but they’re still very good. I used to really dislike them though. So did anyone detect a substantial change at some point in the past?

for example, I always liked the double chocolate chip at Sam’s Club, but there was something with the Costco one that just tasted bad to me. But I tried the triple chocolate ones they have now and they were pretty good.

They also seem to not burn them at Costco. At the other two places it’s inconsistent, depending on whether you get somebody who is competent at baking or not.

Is this right about gate openings?

i’ve got a ticket for one of the clubs and it says the gate opens 2 1/2 hours before? Is that accurate? And are they gonna have out food and drink drinks that early? I thought it was 90 or 60 minutes

I get the impression more of them are not evil. It seems like Bombsight and Torpedo for example could be good people who just got looped in to a corrupt system. Even Soldier Boy while he does bad things, I don't think you can flat-out call him evil, and more likely than not he will let you walk away unless you are obviously a serious threat, unlike Homelander.

Catholics have been banned under threat of excommunication from Freemasonry since 1738. Jamie can't be a Freemason. It doesn't make any sense historically.

I have never been to the campus in Virginia, but it’s more inconvenient to get there since usually I’m just in DC occasionally and on foot.. I know they’re getting towards the end of the renovations to the main one. I’ve been there enough times that I feel like I’ve explored it fairly thoroughly. If I haven’t been there in almost a decade is it worth a return visit now? I’ve seen all the galleries that existed before.
