We run a FedRAMP Moderate system and the monthly scan drops a few thousand findings on us. Most come from base images we never touch and the app never loads them. Fixing them is rarely the hard part. Writing the deviation requests and keeping the evidence tidy is where the hours go. Runtime context helps that argument and shrinking the image helps more. For teams in this position what kept the monthly cycle manageable?

I run a 40 seat bistro with 19 on the payroll between front and back of house. My bookkeeper flagged the labor line in April and I found about 4300 in overtime over three months.None of it was on the posted schedule. I was approving these on my phone during service with no idea what the week looked like. Now swaps go in writing and I check the weekly total before service starts. Last quarter overtime was under 900. How are you all handling shift trades?

We are trying to let Claude inspect parts and sync revision changes automatically.
The biggest issue is handling nested assembly hierarchies without blowing past the context limit.
Every time the model queries a deep component tree it pulls way too much schema data back.

Teacher is lovely and not alarmist, said shes noticing he has a harder time with transitions and group instruction than the others and that if we wanted to start an evaluation now the timing would be good. Not pushing, just raising it.

The online banking savings rate went from 5.1% APY to 3.8% and there wasn't even an email about it. The money is an emergency fund, so it's not like I want to keep moving it around every few months. My husband and I have been looking at buying a rental, but the more I think about repairs, vacancies and tenant calls at 10pm, the less appealing it sounds.

I like the idea of real estate as an investment and obviously want the rental income. I just don't really want to create another job for ourselves.

Our presales team is 6 people supporting around 40 reps and lately it feels like every opportunity somehow becomes a "we need an SE on this call" situation. Last week one of our SEs had 11 demos plus discover calls, internal prep, follow-ups, and the usual random Slack requests, and by Friday he was completely cooked. We've tried tightening qualification rules but reps push back because they're worried about slowing deals down. We're also looking at whether recorded or self guided demos could handle some of the earlier stage stuff, but I don't want to just create a giant video library nobody uses. For team that have actually reduced presales burnout, what changed? Better process, more headcount, demo automation, stricter rules around SE involvement, something else? Curious what actually worked vs what sounded good in a planning meeting

Third time this quarter where the request is basically can we automate this? and the process itself is still a mess.

There is a diagram from 2024, three different people explaining how it works, and some random exception sitting in a spreadsheet that nobody thought to mention.

Then the workflow automation platform gets built around the documented version.

Six months later people are working around it because the documented process was never really the process.

Does anyone solve this part first? Some discovery tools are supposed to help map what actually happens before you build. Celonis and Skan AI are two names that keep coming up.

Curious whether people actually use something like that before building in ServiceNow, or whether process definition just ends up being part of the job forever.

Then I noticed the datasets seem to get expanded periodically and when that happens everything can move at once.

Ahrefs actually annotates the chart when it happens which made the pattern a lot easier to spot.

Now I am wondering how people are separating a dataset change from a real move because those two things can look almost identical at first.

Trying to figure out what actually works for enterprise deals.

Some people want prospects to see an automated demo before they ever talk to sales. Others think enterprise buyers still expect a live walkthrough first.

Curious what other SaaS sales teams are doing right now. Are you pushing Demo Automation early or still leading with live demos?

Does the automated demo actually help move the deal forward or does it just make the live walkthrough happen later?

Maybe the whole passive income thing gets overcomplicated.

Every passive income idea I look into eventually seems to come with either a lot of money upfront or a second job disguised as an investment. Rental properties sound great until you start adding up everything that can go wrong and realize somebody still has to manage the property.

That’s why income producing assets where the management is handled for you seem more interesting. Real estate funds and fractional ownership especially seem worth looking into, but then you get into returns, fees and liquidity and suddenly comparing everything gets confusing.

What passive income investment has actually been the least annoying to own long term?

Two maps and nobody can agree which one is actually right.

That seems to be the part people skip when talking about automated business process mapping tools.

You have the documented process that everyone already knows about. Then the tool watches the actual work and gives you another map. Great. Except now you have two versions of the process and they do not match.

The automated map might show that a step gets skipped 20% of the time. But it cannot really tell you whether the team skips it because the step is pointless, because someone made a decision years ago, or because the documented process was never updated.

So what happens next? Another workshop to figure out why the two maps are different?

The names that keep coming up are Celonis, Skan AI and Mimica. They clearly approach this differently, which is what I am trying to understand before recommending one.

For anyone who has actually used these in a business analysis setting, did automated business process mapping actually reduce the workshops or did it just create another artifact that somebody has to maintain?

And when the documented process and generated process disagree, who gets the final say?

That seems like the part vendor case studies never really answer.

I’ve tried learning to code twice now and somehow managed to quit both times. Codecademy in 2022. Then a udemy course in 2023 that is probably still sitting at nineteen percent complete.

The annoying part is that I actually start pretty strong. Eleven days of doing the lessons every day and then work gets busy for a week and the whole thing falls apart.
