Recently discovered the world of better cartridges. What should I upgrade my Fluance RT-82 to?

Bought my Fluance RT-82 before the pandemic and upgraded the OM10 stylus to OM20, and now that one's wearing out.

I was thinking of an upgrade to the OM20 or a lateral move, but after some research, it seems that I may have maxed out on the quality of my Fluance RT-82. I've seen posts that do not recommend buying medium or high end cartridges since the Fluance tonearm is not that good.

If that's the case, what turntable should I upgrade to? I'm fine with either direct or belt drive. My budget would be around $600-$700

Recommend me movies about making movies

Idk why I just love that premise so much. Whether it's a tribute to Old Hollywood or a drama/comedy focusing on the movie making itself, I love them all. So far I've seen and loved:

Hail, Caesar!

Babylon

Once Upon a Time In Hollywood

The Studio (TV show)

Any other recs? Also non-fiction BTS footage could work too

New cartridge day!

Stumbled upon a local guy who collects and resells vintage NOS cartridges. He was happy to demo some to replace my aging Ortofon OM20. The demo surely opened my eyes to the styles and sound profiles of different cartridges. I now understand when a cartridge is "warm" or "clinical"!

Ended up with a Shure Pro-5 with an N12 stylus. The bass is potent right off the bat without compromising the mids and highs. I was also leaning towards an Empire 4000 D/I but maybe next time

Bilingual families, did y'all enroll your kid in an immersion school in your mother tongue?

As a reference, we are a Mexican American family. We speak Spanish at home, but I'm afraid that the constant English will eventually lead our 2 yo toddler to not want to speak Spanish at all. Much of my family is Mexican American too and some of my cousins decided to not speak Spanish at all (idk why, maybe they thought it was uncool in their teens?), unless they are hanging out with Grandma

Our school district has Spanish classes but that doesn't start until he's 5. There are Spanish immersion schools, but they are definitely more expensive than a regular daycare, so I would like to know if the extra expense is worth it

Rules:

  1. First two upvoted comments will get added to the set-list
  2. Be as detailed as possible. Include what year was the live recording and which album, box set, or YouTube video, etc is it from
  3. The final list will include 16 songs

Set-list thus far:

  1. The Ecstasy of Gold (1999, S&M)

Dumb question about Schiit home audio setups

I recently got a Schiit headphone amp stack for my WFH station. I also have a living room listening station with bookshelf speakers and a vintage Pioneer receiver for my turntable

My dumb question is, how would I build the same setup using Schiit products? I know I would use the Mani for phono and a Gjallarhorn or Vidar for speaker amps, but none of these have volume knobs!

Speaker recs for my desktop PC setup?

Got a headphone amp setup for my WFH desktop PC. Honestly I'm getting a bit fatigued with my headphones, so I want to add some speakers. Passive speakers seem to be incompatible with my setup, but any other recs are welcome! Budget $300 a pair, but could be convinced to go higher. Thanks in advance

Fluance RT-82 -> Schiit Mani -> Schiit SYS (to add my phone) -> xDuoo TA-66 -> Sennheiser HD600

Is something wrong with my HEB tortillas?

It seems lately that my HEB has been making subpar tortillas. They taste great, but there seems to be a section of the tortilla that's extra wet, slimy, and just kinda funky in general.

How do y'all deal with users buying/selling concert tickets? How to spot scammers?

I'm a mod of a small garage band that's rising in popularity. They usually do venues with 250-1000 people capacity (usually bars) and fests like Coachella and Lollapalooza. I didn't think they were that big, but there's been a rise in people asking to buy/sell tickets.

One user reported another accusing them of spam, but looking at the profile, it looked like a regular profile to me. 2 years of post history on both niche and main subs. I deleted the posting just in case, but maybe it was a genuine post? How do y'all deal with these situations?

Our LO used to eat well, now only eats fruits and some carbs. Help!?

Our baby boy (edit: 2.5 years old) used to eat relatively well. Ate chicken, salmon, ground beef, eggs, and even veggies like baby carrots and broccoli. We gave him some fruit as a side.

Nowadays he barely eats any protein anymore. He takes a couple nibbles of chicken, goes straight to the fruit and demands more once he's done eating the fruit. He still eats some carbs like pasta, bread and tortillas. The only protein he still eats consistently are eggs. He apparently eats well at daycare and finishes his food (with the exception of veggies)

My issue is that I know he likes the food. He just ate some and didn't spit it out. Sometimes we make games with it (we pretend to steal his food, so he eats it before we can steal it) and he eats it fine. Once he outright refuses it, we stop insisting, but he asks for more fruit, which tells me he's still hungry.

Do I give in and give him fruit so my child won't go to bed hungry? Or do I refuse to try to break this pattern? Any advice?

Recommendations to replace Fluance RT-82 cartridge?

Looks like I need to replace my worn down Ortofon OM20 stylus (upgraded the original OM10). I am open to change the cartridge and try something new. Budget is around $200, but I could do more if it's worth it. Any recommendations?

Main listening gear (headphone set): Schiit Mani -> xDuoo TA-66 -> Sennheiser HD600

Stereo gear: Pioneer SX-680 -> Elac Debut 2.0 DB6.2

"Scary" media for toddlers?

We recently bought a Halloween themed book and now my toddler is obsessed with anything that's "scary" what are some toddler appropriate movies, TV shows or books that are "scary"? So far we have:

- If You Give A Mouse A Cookie Halloween edition (the one that started it all)

- It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! (At least the title segment)
