Late lunch on Monday, near SeaTac or I-5 heading downtown

Struggling to find some options between SeaTac and downtown, probably near I-5 for an easy lunch after arrival tomorrow. Many of the great recommendations I'm finding from older discussions are either not open Mondays (CheBogz, Milk Drunk), the hours are tricky (Donburi Station) or I'm worried could be a challenge due to World Cup traffic (13 coins or anything else too close to the stadium). Appreciate any suggestions

The genres represented are incredibly diverse, including a fair amount of familiar alt-country names. Here I'm featuring Scruffy The Cat, who are considered by some to be forefathers of alt-country, because I noticed one of the folks working on the project requested them by name for some of the earliest uploads. Plus they play a good show!

Small kitchen remodel - looking for feedback

Here's a very rough, not to scale schematic of what I'm thinking for new kitchen lighting.

Current state: a goofy 12V halogen track lighting system currently equipped with four LED bulbs that claim to be 6W and 350 Lumens. Ceilings are 8 feet. Dark gray floor tile, dark wall paint, honey cabinets flush with the ceiling, lighter gray p-lam countertops. The window and exterior door on the left face west, so we get a good amount of light in the afternoons and evenings, when the kitchen needs the most light. I would call the current amount of light "adequate," but placement and angles could be improved.

The remodel will change to a light-colored tile and countertops and medium-blue on the cabinets. We are wanting regressed LED lights (3-inch and dim-to-warm) and I've been trying to learn more about what will meet our needs. I had been focusing on the Lotus LD3R as it seemed like a good general purpose option and was mentioned by our contractor. However, I've seen advice here that they might be better suited for higher ceilings, and on paper they seem MUCH more powerful than our current lighting (15W and 1300 lumens). So at this point I'm open to new suggestions as well. Lotus Tangra are an option but we'd probably take a tariff hit. We also suggested Koto to the contractor but they don't seem to know a lot about them (yet).

Placement: our contractor had suggested 5 lights for the space. On the left I'm thinking 3 centered above the edge of the countertop and also centered wrt to the upper wall cabinets. On the other side, I would center the 4th light above the countertop edge and with the upper wall cabinets, but that 5th light I'm really not sure about. On this drawing I have it placed so there is a light roughly on either side of the stove, but I've also thought "maybe just make it a gimbal and push it more into the middle of the room, then we can adjust it later."

Kitchen lighting - Lotus LRG3 question

Planning on using Lotus LD3R DTW regressed lights in our kitchen (remodel) but we’re considering a gimbal model for one location. I see the LRG3 is 11w vs the 15w of the other lights and the DTW range is different (3500-2700K on the gimbal vs 3000-1800K in the standard). Is that enough difference that it will look strange? Thanks!

Maintaining balance with posture NOT aligned with gravity - terminology?

In downhill snowsports (skiing and snowboarding) participants often struggle with maintaining posture aligned with the sliding surface, because as we tip downhill, all of our balance feedback systems push us to remain upright with respect to gravity. A posture aligned with gravity generally leads to what is known as “backseat” skiing or riding and often results in loss of control. I’m interested in reading up on the science behind countering all the impulses to remain “upright” wrt gravity in order to maintain a posture that’s aligned in a different frame of reference. Is there any accepted or commonly used terminology for this type of activity?
