Is Essex still worth it compared to moving to London or Kent?

I’ve been going back and forth on whether Essex still makes sense as a place to stay long term, especially with London and Kent both being options not too far away. Part of me likes the balance Essex has, but then I start comparing it with the pull of London or even the quieter feel you get in Kent and it gets hard to decide what actually works better.

What’s missing in your city’s creative scene that a platform like this could fix?

Creative Swansea is aiming to bring creatives, organisations, and opportunities together under one hub. If your local creative community had a platform built for it, what would you want most- jobs, networking, showcases, events, collaborations?

Is the south vs north Essex divide actually a real thing in terms of lifestyle or just something people say?

I've heard people mention it a lot but not sure how much difference there really is day to day.

Is salary sacrifice one of the best financial decisions you can make?

Every time pensions come up, people seem to mention salary sacrifice as a huge advantage. Just wanted to know how much difference people here feel it’s made over time.

One of the best hires I’ve ever made had the weakest CV on paper

We nearly rejected someone because their CV looked average compared to others, but during the interview, they came across as thoughtful, adaptable and genuinely eager to learn. Fast forward a year, and they’ve turned into one of the most reliable people on the team. It reminded me how easy it is to overlook good candidates when recruitment becomes too keyword focused.
