Searching in Space - BFN Studio
An original composition I put together using Cowboy Bebop for the visuals.
Nightfalls - Shenmue (cover)
A cover I did of the iconic track from the Dreamcast game Shenmue using the following synths and outboard gear in various combinations:
\- Yamaha FB-01
\- Yamaha EMP-100
\- Alesis Microverb
\- Roland JX-03
Since I avoid gaming footage I tend to make AMVs and videos using old archival footage. I hope y’all are into it.
My sweet little stack
What had started off as an FB-01 and an EMP-100 slowly trickled down into throwing in a microverb and a JX-03 into the stack. I also have a Gem RealPiano Expander coming in the mail!
Dust - MOON (Cover)
A cover i did of Dust from hotline Miami 2, made it using all hardware synths save for the drums.
Birds of a Feather - Samurai Champloo
Some badass samurai champloo set to an original track
Tune into Vladivostok FM for this cover of Blood type
Since we had the track stripped from us in 2018 I decided to recently make a doomer wave style cover using various real and software instruments.
Set to an era correct backdrop of the 1st chechnyan war.
Disclaimer: There is NO gore, civs, or officers aside from technical specialists. This song is done with the respect it’s about the conscript and not wanting to be there in the first place.
Lost and Found (Samurai Champloo AMV)
Made this heavily Nujabes inspired track and I just HAD to do an AMV. Enjoy!
Battlefield: 1942 theme (arcade style cover)
Iconic theme done on my real FB-01 which uses a chip similar to those in many arcade cabinets. Set to some cool WW2 footage
Crystalline Dreams
Made a synth wave using cakewalk to construct drums and some other midi sequenced stuff, ported over for the live tracked synths.
Hardware:
Yamaha FB-01 > Yamaha EMP-100
Plugins include:
UAD polymax synth and 224 reverb
GuyEngineV2
BRP Cassette drums
Got into synths recently. Picked up this all for about $200CAD total
“Ghost” race car, police are inquiring
“Ghost car” spotted racing down Bandit Highway last night. Police speculate it’s a Burnside Windsor or Gavril Grand Marshall but traffic cam couldn’t quite catch enough detail. It was purportedly travelling in speeds in excess of 300KPH. Bandit County Highway Patrol is asking any and all eyewitnesses to come with information pertaining to the mystery hotrodder. There are rumours circulating that it’s the same car involved in a street racing accident about a decade ago.
Loving my new to me 2002 JDM Hirochi Sunburst
Joe Schmitt, here
Just recently bought this 2002 Sunburst wagon. Posting here on the local BeamBook group to show off my new ride.
100K on the body, but it’s been swapped with a near pristine twin turbo Ibishu Pessima GT-Z 3.0 6 in line litre power plant and drivetrain. Clean swap too. Clean, well kept body. I’d bought it for a very happy price considering what’s been put into it. $7000, including winter tires.
I had before this, a fairly new Ibishu CrossSport that kept having mechanical issues and I honestly hated the screen interface. So sold that off to some dealership went and bought this with some extra cash I have accrued from working at TJ’s Off Road in the small town at the base of Beam Mountain. Saw the listing on BeamBook marketplace, it was his well kept weekend toy. Professional drive train, very clean. The AWD system works excellent carving through the mammoth valley winters on early commutes to work. Added a turbo timer just so I don’t have to idle in parking lot. CD player, tactile controls, lots of power. There’s a nitrous kit, but I took the bottle out so I’m not running an illegal config. The right hand drive took a bit of getting used to and the joy of getting an agent to manually input my VIN was a fun game, but once all that was gotten past, it’s been my daily.
Might look into a Kei trucks next. Does anyone have any suggestions on whether the Kevin or the Talent is better?
Edit: she’s a 2012, totally blaming autocorrect on that one!
An original produced and recorded by myself.
