I see a lot of people defending this decision, but it's braindead. The battlepasses last like 3 months on average and we were getting what, 400 extra vbucks?
That's like a full year to get enough for a single 1500 collab skin π

Rn, it juat doesn't feel like you're being rewarded by playing. And I mean rewarded with in game currency you can actually use on whatever you want.
I don't buy this one bit. Im no reality was fortnite ever going broke by granting players the equivalent to 18 bucks worth of vbucks. Most people who were counting on those for buying shop skins are not spending money on the game regardless.
I've been waiting for a persona collab since forever, and now that it's finally coming I'll have to spend at least 18 dollars for a single skin. Hell, I could buy the whole persona 5 game all over again π
It's just not rentable anymore. Fortnite went from an amazing user friendly f2p to a greedy slop.

I finally got to play the free dlc after finishing the base game and mea culpa, and I must say, this is one of the best pieces of metroidvania content out there.
Blasphemous 2 is already among the top metroidvanias, but this new 5-hour dlc is quite possibly the best content this game has to offer. And that's saying something.
It's clearly an homage to castlevania, adding a brand new weapon like the whip (which is now my second favorite in the whole game), as well as a bunch of new areas heavily inspired by Castlevania. These are all some of the best areas in the whole game.
The traversal and platforming also felt a lot less safe this time around! The new swinging mechanic of the whip chain weapon made the platforming sections more thrilling and somewhat more complex. I've acquired the weapon a bit early and I used it for a chunck of the main game as well.
The enemy designs were once again top notch, with new enemies that felt way more aggressive than the base game.
We're already used to it by nowz but the ost is once again straight fire, this time having a darker and more sinister undertone.
I don't wanna spoil these aspects, so I'll leave it to you to discover them:
- the story has a simple premise, but it hits. Somehow, in this game where world altering events snd sinister gods dwell, the story of the 3rd sin felt a lot more human and personal.
- the first boss of the dlc wasn't anything that special, as it's a buffed up elite enemy you will meet later, but the second and final boss is imo the best and most difficult boss of the series. It's so perfectly tuned, and it pushes the blasphemous 2 combat system to its limits
- the progression is a bit more creative than "this path is blocked by a double jump ability". It felt very satisfying to finally find a certain something and be able to explore the map freely.
At the end of the day, I can say that the blasphemous devs have a real talent for metroidvanias. This dlc is somewhat of a departure from their Catholic spanish inspired world, but in a good way, as it feels fresh and gives us a taste of what a modern castlevania game can be like.
I'm really curious to hear your thoughts if you have played the free dlc. I can 100% recommend that you either return or grab the game and enjoy the full package.
So after finally beating the game again, this time with the mea culpa ending, I've tried seeing what others think, and I saw that some people think that the penitent one drowned himself. I don't really think that's the case for multiple reasons: here you can see the analysis of the ending cutscene. It's framed in such a way that it males it look like the penitent one is walking away after gazing at the sunset. He discards his helmet facing away from the water, then the mea culpa much further away. I doubt they'd make those mistakes if the intention was for him to go into the sea.
In the first game, the penitent one fulfills his penance, and both him and the mea culpa cease to be. He dies, and the mea culpa turns to dust. Their purpose was fulfilled. Here, I think that he allowed crisnta to fulfill her penance and ascend to the canvass of light and time, while he abandoned his penance.
I think that a lot of people believe the penitent one to be unable to speak, but imo, he simply chooses not to speak because that's his penance. Here he simply gives up on it. Symbolized in him discarding the helmet.
He is either no longer bound by the miracle, which means he's free from the cycle of endless deaths, or he is still unable to actually die.

So after posting about the no rest for the wicked game not even mentioning xbox in their delay announcement, I daw multiple people mentioning this guy. I personally didn't know much about him, except that he hates the series S for some reason. Upon dwelling deeper, I have literally discovered a gold mine so to speak. Bro is literally shit talking xbox every other day π. Coming up with all sorts of nonsense and excuses as well as dragging the brand as a whole through the mud.

From today till march there's like 7 months. That should be plenty of time to fix whatever optimization issues there were on the series s. If not, then we can all come to the same conclusion.

Captured on Xbox Series X performance mode (60fps). Not only is the game way prettier, the weather is a lot more dynamic. It's one of the highlights for sure. The zone is just more inviting in a way. I have this eagerness to just explore, cause I know that at least I'll be rewarded with some breathtaking scenery.
So a while back I made a post here about mixing Mountain dew with a bit of blackberry syrup to recreate the long gone Mountain dew Dark berry. Years ago, in romania, we got the Mountain dew dark berry for a brief time, after which it was gone forever. Not only it was my all time favorite drink, I also had a lot of fond memories tied to it, when me an my friends would pool some cash to by a big 2.5l bottle which we would enjoy playing football in the school courtyard.
Last time I tried, people have pointed out that adding syrup would make it too sweet and have too much sugar. Well today I came with a new mix that tastes even more like the original, and it has less sugar. 2 tablespoons of blackberry syrup, 2 thirds of Mountain Dew, and one third white monster, in a 500ml cup. This brings the sugar down to roughly what a normal mountain dew has (or even less) while making the drink less overpoweringly sweet, like the og drink.
Idk if Syrups are that common outside of eastern europe, but if you get your hands on one, try this out! (P.s tge blackberry syrup is not something that you'd put on pancakes for example. It's a specialty designed syrup that you mix with sparkling water to get a nice drink. It's found here at most grocery stores and there's like 20 different brands. The blackberry one is a limited edition tho at Lidl, that only appears once in a while)
