25M, Searching For Longterm Friends Older Than Me

Hey! I am 25 and i am looking for people who actually invest in making a good bond, who don't ghost and value my presence in their life. I am pretty easy going and can talk about almost anything. I am a curious being so get ready for a lot of questions lol.

My personal experience tells me that i bond better with individuals who are older than me, dms are open for everyone but I'd appreciate it if you're 26 at least.

Send a brief intro not just a simple "hi".

25M | South Asia | Looking for something genuine

Hey everyone!

I’m 25M from South Asia, looking to meet someone who’s genuinely interested in building a meaningful connection that could eventually turn into a serious relationship.

A little about me: I have a degree in Cybersecurity, but I made a career switch and now work in the women’s apparel industry. Outside work, I’m into psychology, history, geopolitics, true crime, hiking, travelling, camping, and deep conversations.

I’m also a recovering addict and have been 2 years sober. I actively manage Borderline Personality Disorder and have spent a lot of time working on myself, emotional awareness, and becoming a healthier person. I’m open about my past because I believe honesty is important when building something real.

I value consistency, emotional maturity, communication, loyalty, and being able to laugh together. I’m not looking for games, casual flings, or something that disappears after a few weeks.

Distance isn’t a dealbreaker for me if there’s genuine compatibility and mutual effort.

If this resonates with you, feel free to message me. Tell me a little about yourself instead of just saying “hey.” Maybe we’ll end up being exactly what each other was looking for.

I want to help people who feel like nobody understands them [O]

I've been thinking about writing this for a while, and I finally decided to do it.

I want to offer something that I wish I had when I was younger: someone who would simply listen without judging me.

I'm not a therapist, psychologist, or mental health professional. I'm just a person who has spent years fighting through some very dark chapters of his life, going through therapy, reading, learning, failing, improving, and trying again.

I've been in therapy for around 6 years. Eventually, my therapist told me that I had reached a point where I was ready to face the world on my own. I've also read a lot of self-help and psychology books and, more importantly, I've spent years actually trying to apply what I learned to my own life.

So I want to give something back.

For anyone who feels alone, lost, ashamed, emotionally overwhelmed, addicted, traumatized, or simply doesn't have anyone they feel comfortable talking to:

You can talk to me.

I won't charge you anything.

You don't have to impress me. You don't have to hide the ugly

parts of your story. You don't have to pretend that you're okay.

If you want to talk, I'll listen.

And I'm not saying this from a place of having a perfect life. Quite the opposite.

Here's a little about my own journey:

• I am a sexual assault survivor. The abuse happened between the ages of 9 and 14.

• From 15 to 23, I struggled with drugs, including both hard drugs and what people sometimes consider "soft" drugs.

• I live with Borderline Personality Disorder, and managing it has been a continuous part of my life. Learning to understand my emotions instead of being controlled by them has taught me an enormous amount about emotional regulation.

• I've struggled heavily with self-harm and self-sabotaging behaviour, largely connected to what I've come to understand as toxic shame and deep self-hatred.

I'm still working on that part of myself. I'm nowhere near perfect. But I've improved tremendously and that's probably the most important thing I can tell you:

You don't have to be completely healed before your life can start getting better.

Sometimes progress is simply understanding yourself a little better than you did yesterday.

If you reach out to me, I will respect your privacy and I won't intentionally share your personal story with others. I may also share parts of my own story when appropriate, because I believe vulnerability goes both ways. I don't want this to feel like you're sitting across from some person judging you. I want it to feel like two human beings talking.

You can message me whenever you need to. I can usually text on weekdays after around 8:30 PM, and Sundays will generally be the day when I'm most available for longer conversations, including an audio or video call if we're both comfortable with that.

One thing I want to be very clear about: I cannot replace professional help. If you're dealing with something that requires a psychologist, psychiatrist, doctor, emergency service, or other professional support, I'll encourage you to seek it. If you're in immediate danger, please contact emergency or professional support rather than relying on me.

But if what you need right now is simply another human

being who will listen without judging you, my inbox is open.

You don't have to tell me your entire story.

You can just say:

"Hey. I'm not doing very well and I don't know who to talk to."

I'll take it from there.

TL;DR: I've been through sexual abuse, addiction, BPD, self-harm and years of therapy. I'm still working on myself, but I've come a long way. I'm offering free peer support to anyone who needs someone to listen without judgment. You can message me anytime.

[M4F] 25M | Pakistan| Looking for a Serious Marriage Prospect

Assalam o Alaikum everyone!

I've been browsing this subreddit for a while and finally decided to make a post myself. I'm here with one intention only: to find someone who is genuinely looking to build a marriage, not just pass time.

If something in my post gives you questions or concerns, I'd genuinely prefer that you ask me instead of making assumptions. I firmly believe that honest conversations tell you far more about a person than a few paragraphs ever can. So if you think we might be compatible, feel free to reach out.

Age/Gender: 25M

Height: 5'11"

Location: Originally from Faisalabad. I currently work in Lahore.

Education: Graduate in Cybersecurity

Profession: I handle the daily business operations for a reputable women's clothing brand.

Religion: Muslim. I focus on practicing the fundamentals of Islam and stay away from sectarian differences.

Marital Status: Never married.

About Me

I'm someone who values self awareness, personal growth, honesty, and open communication.

Two years ago, I made the decision to completely change my life and have been sober from drugs ever since. Recovery has taught me discipline, gratitude, and resilience. During that time I gained weight, but I've been working hard on my health. I've gone from 120kg to 100kg so far, and my goal is to reach 75kg.

I also live with Borderline Personality Disorder, which I actively manage. It's something that has helped me become far more emotionally aware and intentional about maintaining a healthy, stable lifestyle. I'm happy to answer respectful questions about it.

Professionally, I'm doing well for my age, and I believe my career has a strong future ahead.

Outside of work, I enjoy camping, spending time in nature, reading self improvement books, watching a good series, and having meaningful conversations. Once I'm comfortable with someone, I generally prefer voice calls over endless texting because they help build a more genuine connection.

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking for an emotionally mature, open minded woman who values honesty, consistency, and genuine effort in a relationship.

It would be wonderful if you're someone who understands or at least respects mental health journeys and enjoys meaningful conversations about life, goals, and the future.

I'm not concerned about whether someone is divorced or has a past. What matters to me is that you're emotionally available, sincere, and genuinely ready to build a future together.

Timeline

I'm not planning to get married for at least a year. I'm completely open to getting engaged and involving families earlier if things go well, but I believe taking a year to truly know each other before marriage is the healthiest approach.

New circle, deep talks. 25M checking in

Hey, I am currently out here trying to build a solid network of mature friends completely from the ground up. My lifestyle underwent a massive shift when I chose to walk away from my previous social environments to focus entirely on my well-being. Right now, I am celebrating two full years of clean living while successfully navigating borderline personality disorder. My free time outside of my career is pretty straightforward since I mostly focus on planning outdoor camping trips, reading self growth books, and binging compelling television shows.

Because of that major life reset, I am strictly looking for open minded people who can relate to mental health struggles. I absolutely prefer raw, unfiltered dialogue over shallow pleasantries or boring chit chat. Balanced effort is a non-negotiable requirement for me, and I much prefer jumping on voice calls rather than texting back and forth once we establish a good vibe. Please skip this post entirely if you are prone to ghosting or going silent after twenty four hours. For anyone else who is truly ready to build a loyal and lasting friendship, drop a DM with a quick introduction.
