I recently got my engineering fundamentals certification from Embry-Riddle, and I’m really excited and proud of myself so I want to do something special to treat myself or celebrate.

I know a certification might not sound like that big of a deal lol but it was a hard process for me and something that means a lot to me. I was dealing with mental health issues that I had no idea how to handle and a lot of really horrible life events, and so it was overall just a hard and still very painful time in my life. I was in and out of school a lot and FOUGHT to get the certification. I genuinely didn’t think I was ever gonna be able to finish it and I’m still kind of in disbelief that I did, so I want to do something even just little because getting is it really special, I just have no idea what lol

It might sound weird but I don’t know exactly what it’s all about or if I want to try it or not.

I kind of just figured I wasn’t the type of person that was suited for dating. Like I have a very particular schedule that I like to keep lol, especially at night I get a shower and stuff at 8:00 PM exactly lol and do my skincare and I like to be in bed at like 10:30 every night. I also keep Wednesday nights open so I can do laundry and stuff that night, and I also sleep with wrinkle patches on and with my silk pillowcase so I sleep very weirdly at night lol. And I’m definitely introverted, I love just staying at home and reading or knitting and things like that.

Idk I just kind of figured I have such a strict schedule that I enjoy and it stresses me out if I can’t do it lol, and keeping all of that up just never seemed possible or fair if you’re with someone and I like my alone time sometimes too so I just figured dating wasn’t for me.

I have some hard things that have happened and are going on in life though and I’m struggling with my mental health issues again, and I feel like I just want someone not even necessarily to help or fix it or anything but just to be there and be close to. I was telling this to a friend and he mentioned that’s exactly what a boyfriend is lol and the reason why I feel like I’m missing something like that is because I refuse to date.

Idk it seemed like he might have a point but I’m not sure, I just don’t really know what kind of role a boyfriend is even supposed to play in your life and if it’s something that’s for me or not. I also don’t want to get into dating and then be high maintenance and weird for some poor person lol.

He went to the ER and they said they didn’t know what was going on and that there wasn’t anything they could do. Then he went to a doctor and the doctor said he didn’t believe a nose bleed could be that bad and thinks he’s just exaggerating, so he didn’t do anything either.

We mainly just want to know what’s causing that and if it’s something serious we need to worry about. I’m coming on here to ask as like a last hope because we’ve been trying like crazy and it doesn’t seem like any medical professionals are going to be willing to help.
