*Re2 Performs Incredibily well. Re4 Performs like shit. I'm so confused.

Re4 is definitely a more intensive game, but I am genuinely getting 80 fps at the perfer performance preset, which has performance upscaling and nearly every setting set to the absolute minimum. This is at 1080p..

Rdr2 and 2077 run great and are inline with online benchmarks, as with RE2. But re4, for some reason, is running incredibly poorly. The GPU utilization is always maxed out, and the CPU never goes above around 50. Drivers are updated.

Once this post reaches 30 comments, I'll tally up the results.

List which GPU you think is better and a few reasons why.

I have a 1660ti, Ryzen 5 5500, 32gb ddr4, 650w PSU. I spent $310 USD on a new Arc B580, but I can still return it. Do I buy a different GPU? I thought the Arc B580 was solid, but I keep seeing hate and support for this card, and it turns out I can do better in the used market.. so confused.

Do I scope out a better deal on Newegg or Facebook Marketplace? Ebay?

It's in the mail right now and will come in a few days, but I could obviously still return it. Just confused. Sorry for the rather simple post, but I see many people in support of buying this card at this price point, but also many saying that the USED market is better at this price range.

Came out to $450 USD. I'm 15 and extremely satisfied. I think this is relevant since it explains why my budget it so tight.

Originally bought this build for 250$, sold the 1660ti that came with it for $60 (wanted a quick sale and it had some cosmetic blemishes), bought the B580 for $250 USD :)

Overall, there is a bottleneck because of the PCIe and CPU, but I'm completely fine with it. Once I actually get employed (I've been dog-sitting for the last few months), I'll probably save up more for a newer PC, then sell this discounted to my lil bro.

I can pick up both for about $35 USD rn on steam but heavily debating on if I should even pick em up since how shitty my PC is.

I do have PS5 but RDR2 as apart of my plan but it is limited to 30fps which is unplayable for me on that title.

Same thing for cyperpunk 2077 which lacks keyboard support which is a must for me.

For those of you that play BOTW VR, what are your specs? How does it perform?

The GITHUB page does mention:

• A gaming PC with a CPU that is good at single-threaded workloads (a recent Intel i5 or Ryzen 5 are recommended at least)! The GPU matters a bit, but the CPU is the bottleneck here.

But no info on the GPU/Ram/etc as far as I can tell.

Thanks to u/wgrimm I can play Half Life 1!! Genuinely man thank you so much you made my day. The Half Life games has always been a series I've wanted to play, but didn't have the means to play them until now with newly bought PC (funds are really low rn 😅)
