Just finished Dungeon Crawler Carl. Looking for my next big series.

This year I deleted all my social media apps from my phone and tablets. I replaced that time with reading. My goal for this year was 12 books, one a month. My mental health has never been better. Also, the new goal is 50! (For reference, I think I read 6 books total 2020-2025)

I’m reading Redshirts by John Scalzi tonight as a quick, easy palette cleanser. But what should my next big series be?

My favorites of the year have been Dungeon Crawler Carl, Hierarchy series, Red Rising, The Light Bringer Series, and Anything by John Scalzi.

This year’s books so far:

  1. Hierarchy - The Will of the Many
  2. Red Rising Saga - Red Rising
  3. Red Rising Saga - Golden Son
  4. Red Rising Saga - Morning Star
  5. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep
  6. Hierarchy - The Strength of the Few
  7. Off to be the Wizard
  8. Lightbringer - The Black Prism
  9. Lightbringer - The Blinding Knife
  10. Project Hail Mary
  11. Lightbringer - The Broken Eye
  12. Reclaimed
  13. Ender’s Game
  14. Starter Villain
  15. DCC - Dungeon Crawler Carl
  16. DCC - Carl’s Doomsday Scenario
  17. DCC - The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cook Book
  18. The Kaiju Preservation Society
  19. DCC - The Gate of the Feral Gods
  20. A Psalm for the Wild Built
  21. DCC - The Butcher’s Masquerade
  22. Lightbringer - Blood Mirror
  23. Murderbot Diaries - All Systems Red
  24. DCC - The Eye of the Bedlam Bride
  25. Lightbringer - The Burning White
  26. Murderbot Diaries - Artificial Condition
  27. DCC - This Inevitable Ruin
  28. DCC - A Parade of Horribles

Just finished Book 8 and added it to the library. What do I do now? I feel like whatever series I start next is going to let me down.

Started the series at the beginning of last month. Just finished. I’ve read and listened to the audio books. I’m at a loss for what to do. I need more Carl and donut content.

[35] to [39]. Still Smiling.

I went from fit and active in my youth and time in the military. To depressed and severely obese. I was diabetic and had high blood pressure. First I got mentally healthy and that lead to getting physically healthy too.

I’m only 5’9” and I was 265 at my heaviest. Now I sit around 190. And medication free.

I spent the last 3 years meticulously tracking everything I consume. Working out and getting my steps. Now I don’t track so much what I eat and I still workout 4-5 days a week.

515lbs Deadlift 1RM - 188lbs BW

Been cutting since January (242lbs after a dirty bulk) and just went back into maintenance 4 weeks ago. Starting to feel strong again.

Should I expect to increase strength while in maintenance? Or do I need to be in a surplus? Wasn’t planning to bulk again until October.

M39, 69” 190. Down from 265, 2.5 years ago.

Still have some work to go. Want to cut another 10 lbs or so. Taking a break at maintenance for a month or so before getting back into a deficit.

Second to Last photo Jan of this year after I bulked back up to 240 bc I was feeling skinny fat at 190.

Last photo is 190 last year vs 190 this year.

Just want to see the general opinion of where I am now.

2.5 year transformation, 265 to 190. M39, 69”

Still want to cut some more(10lbs or so), but taking a break at maintenance for a month or so before getting back into a deficit.

2 years ago I couldn’t do a single pull up.

2 years ago I was 265. I could barely do 10 push ups and couldn’t even dead hang from a bar.

Edit: I’m 5’9” 190lbs.

195 Vs 195 12 months apart. Considering another bulk. Thoughts?

Last year in the left. Then I bulked up to around 240, and cut again. Been cutting since the beginning of the year. Considering another bulk at the end of summer. Planning on going into maintenance after about 5 more pounds.

For reference: 39y 5’9”.

Currently at 190lbs (pic on right is about 3 weeks old). I was 265 40%ish body fat 2.5 years ago. Last 3 pics are from this week.

Down from 265, 2 years ago. Now 190lbs 69”. How much more?

How many more pounds do you think I need to cut to get rid of this fat on the back of my sides?

(Yes I have gyno, I’m 39 and have no desire to have surgery)

Finally Starting to See Separation

Finally starting to see some shoulder definition. Still not happy with my triceps though. I have about ten pounds left to cut. Was 265 2.5 years ago, cut down to 190, then bulked up to 240, have been cutting back down since the start of the year. Currently sitting at 189, 5’9”. Last pic is 195pounds 2025 vs 195 a month ago (almost exactly one year apart)

Snuck in an Evening Mow [5b]

Kids took care of the back yard yesterday. Snuck in an extra mow this evening as it was cooling off. Couldn’t pass on some great lighting.

Rear Delt Cable Fly

There’s only one fly machine at my gym and it’s always taken. Am I hitting these well enough for rear delts?
