I Deactivated My Facebook

I had to ask my husband to step back from over the road trucking and switch to local runs because I genuinely couldn't handle being so isolated and alone for weeks at a time. But making that choice just highlighted how empty my world is and how isolated I really am.

I don't have many people who would say they're my friend, and the few I thought were true friends don't show up. When you're sitting in a house by yourself day after day, yearning for simple human connection and feeling like nobody gives a damn to check in, it breaks you down.

I made a post earlier just to my friends and over 150 people saw it, and not a single person reached out. It hurts to feel this invisible. It makes you feel pathetic when you can't even pay people to spend time with you. People love to talk about how mental health matters, but the second you actually speak up and show your raw struggle, you're met with silence. Or people actively make it worse.

I'm crying out for human connection because I am so goddamn lonely, and people's reaction is to isolate me even more. It's clear I'm not important to anyone. I deactivated my Facebook and uninstalled the app because it's obvious I won't be missed.

I asked for something similar to what I normally get

First picture is what I asked for, what I normally get.

Second picture is what I got.

Third picture is after going to a different salon and getting it cut again, and I dyed it magenta.

Edit: thank you so much to everyone for all the kinds words and hype. I feel so much better now

What company to go with?

I think I picked the appropriate flair.

I am looking to open two different accounts soon. One a Roth IRA account, and the second an UTMA Custodial Account.

I have done some research but this is new territory for me and I don't know what company to go with. I want to avoid companies that seem to have gimmicks like Fidelity but I want to make sure I make good and safe choices for the future.

Ginger Snap loves cat beds

3 months old, still only about 3lbs. He's so small! My mom has one of his sisters and she is the same size.

Black Caterpillar Hunter

Found this gorgeous Black Caterpillar Hunter (Calosoma sayi) wandering around my work, so I brought them outside to live free and eat bugs.

Thick Vine?

I live on NE Florida and I have been trying to identify the invasive and native species in my yard to remove the invasives. I have no idea what this plant could be. The vines were trailing through my yard, there were no seeds/pods/flowers. The vine was thick.

Wild Millipedes!

Hope this is a good place to share these cuties I found today while exploring my yard. They're American Giant Millipedes (Complex Narceus americanus)

Would love an ID!

I can not figure out what species of bee this is. Turns out identifying bees are a lot harder than I thought.

I am in NW Florida, USA.

Found in Tallahassee, FL

To preface, I found this turtle inside of an abandoned pool that had trees growing from the bottom. It was removed from the pool. I am guessing this turtle could be malnourished due to not being able to access proper diet as there's no telling how long it was trapped. This was a few years ago.

I was adding some observations to iNaturalist and from my knowledge and experience I've identified this turtle as Clemmys guttata, which is unusual for the area.

There are some people who have mentioned it looks like Terrapene carolina due to the high dome and ridge down the back. I have never seen a box turtle with this pattern or coloring and I cannot find any examples online.

I would love some more input from more experienced individuals. These are the only two photos I could find of the turtle. I also added a photo of where the turtle was found.

Amelia is getting older

I just wanted to share my old lady, Amelia. Or as I like to call her, Millie. She was born May 5th, 2018. She lost her best friend, George a couple years ago. She was very down, slowing down, wasn't as active, didn't want to play. We rescued a couple puppies out we found out in the woods, and she turned into a completely different dog. She started playing and being active again. She started getting more lively again. I'm so thankful. It seems like she has a new breath of life in her and she'll be around for much longer.

Is there a way to clean my pan?

My husband cooked something with olive oil on the highest heat and ruined my pan. He said he tried cleaning it with baking soda and vinegar.

Is there any way to fix this or is it completely ruined?

The brand is Gotham Steel, I believe it is ceramic coated. It was from their copper collection and I got the entire set as a gift. I'd be really sad to have to toss this.

Tarantula Memorial

Idk if this right sub, it got removed from the other sub I had in mind. I had an electrical fire at my house and after getting the cats and dogs they wouldn't let us go back in for my tarantula. She was a Green Bottle Blue, and her name was Barry. When we were able to return home, she had passed.

Her body is still fully intact. I would love to preserve her in a shadow box or something, but it's not something I've ever done. Any guidance, tips, or advice would be appreciated. I don't know if I can do it immediately, so how should I preserve her in the meantime?

Shared a picture of my beautiful girl.
