The locals I went with called it Plume Agate but I don’t think that’s accurate… they’re too big for me to cut with the saw I have, but have considerable weight to them. (2 photos per rock) they almost look like cauliflower except the last one.
Plume Agate search on Mindat wasn’t helpful.

I’ve had offers to sell these but I want to know what they are first beforehand bc I don’t want anyone mislead and I’m really, really freakin’ curious.

Suggestions for a new water pick to clean tiny cracks & crevices?

The one I bought broke & I’m curious to see what the collective is using before I buy another one.
Dirty rock for tax.

Is this really the value?

I have a ton of random Botryoidal chunks from creeks just like this. This one looks like it hasn’t been cleaned at all. Or am
I insane? I might be the asshole here, totally possible. Should I just be selling them as is like that? Like I’m over here trying to clean them and scrub them and remove the iron and any film if I can but maybe I’m making a mistake

For a listing photo, which looks better? Natural background or white? I can’t decide.

Trying to refine my online listings but I’m torn between the au natural look and the clean white “perfect” background. Would love opinions please!
I’m setting up a website and I also list on eBay, on r/ subs, etc. I really need to have better listing photos. However, I can’t tell which one looks better because I like them both a lot.

My aura is worried about the 53 people who have this in their carts

Are you fucking kidding me? 53 people? I struggle to sell real crystals and there’s 53 people trying to buy this fairy crack rock?

Is that really what it looks like?

Man, I am no expert, but that looks like chert with quartz or something to me idk. All the Malawi I’ve seen on here is so vibrant compared to this.

Lake Cumberland, KY

Seeing something still in its host rock makes me WAY geeked tf out 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I know these aren’t rare or special but HOW COOL IS IT that they’ve been in the same place for thousands if not millions of years

Cross posted but nothing yet. It’s beautiful. What am I looking at? Loc KY

I’m going to hell, I almost turned it into a yard rock. Out of genuine curiosity I cut it and I’ve never seen anything like this. But I’ll admit I whacked it pretty good with a hammer first thinking it was just chert.

ID? Loc Cumberland River KY

I was looking for agate. Popped this with a hammer (hate myself for it now) and decided to trim it with the tile saw to see a little better… never seen anything like it before.

Cut quartz on the tile saw and was not disappointed

😍 I almost gave away an entire box of what I thought were ugly quartz rocks. Now I gotta play with them!
