The locals I went with called it Plume Agate but I don’t think that’s accurate… they’re too big for me to cut with the saw I have, but have considerable weight to them. (2 photos per rock) they almost look like cauliflower except the last one.
Plume Agate search on Mindat wasn’t helpful.

I’ve had offers to sell these but I want to know what they are first beforehand bc I don’t want anyone mislead and I’m really, really freakin’ curious.

The one I bought broke & I’m curious to see what the collective is using before I buy another one.

I insane? I might be the asshole here, totally possible. Should I just be selling them as is like that? Like I’m over here trying to clean them and scrub them and remove the iron and any film if I can but maybe I’m making a mistake

Seeing something still in its host rock makes me WAY geeked tf out 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I know these aren’t rare or special but HOW COOL IS IT that they’ve been in the same place for thousands if not millions of years

I’m going to hell, I almost turned it into a yard rock. Out of genuine curiosity I cut it and I’ve never seen anything like this. But I’ll admit I whacked it pretty good with a hammer first thinking it was just chert.

I was looking for agate. Popped this with a hammer (hate myself for it now) and decided to trim it with the tile saw to see a little better… never seen anything like it before.
