My girlfriend birthday is coming in the second week of September, and I want to plan something really special for her birthday.

Budget isn’t really an issue, and I’m open to pretty much anything — a memorable gift, a luxury stay, a romantic getaway somewhere in India, an experience, or even a combination of everything.

I’d love to hear your best recommendations. If you’ve done something for your partner that was genuinely memorable, what did you plan?

Basically, if you had a good budget and wanted to make your girlfriend’s birthday unforgettable, what would you do?

I want to understand something from an Islamic perspective. If interest (riba) is haram and conventional insurance is also considered problematic by many scholars, how is a poor or middle-class Muslim supposed to deal with extremely expensive medical treatment?

For example, if someone has no health insurance and suddenly needs surgery or long-term hospital treatment, the bill can be extremely high and they may not have the money to pay it.

What are the Islamically permissible options in such a situation? Is takaful/Islamic insurance a valid alternative where available? And what should someone do if takaful isn’t available or affordable?

I would really appreciate answers based on reliable Islamic scholarship, rather than just personal opinions. JazakAllah khair.

Preferred areas: Sukhdev Vihar, NFC, Kalkaji, Nehru Enclave, East of Kailash, CR Park, GK, Malviya Nagar, Hauz Khas, Munirka, RK Puram, Vasant Vihar or nearby.

I want to avoid Batla House/Jamia Nagar/Okhla as they’re quite crowded. I’ve also found that many landlords in NFC and Sukhdev Vihar don’t rent to Muslims, so I’m looking for other nearby areas where this is less of an issue.
