Everybody knows that Chyna hated being ‘demoted’ to the Women’s division and was adamant that she should be in the main event men’s scene, which partially contributed to her leaving WWE (along with the affair).

EDIT: I know the affair, the contract negotiations etc is also why she left, the point of the post if what if she had stayed and stuck in women's division, not about arguing exactly why she left the company.

But imagine if she’d leaned into the women’s run and stayed with the company?

In 2001 she was 31/32 and probably at her peak hotness after getting a sexier look post Playboy. She would’ve dominated the women’s division for probably most of 2002 and had great matches and feuds with Jazz, Victoria, Molly, Trish, Lita, and Jacqueline, plus fun squash matches on Divas like Torrie and Stacey etc.

She probably would’ve gone down as the most dominant woman’s champion of all time and for sure beaten Trish and Lita as the first woman to main event Raw (I imagine that match could have been Chyna vs Lita instead).

She still could’ve pivoted to some men’s stuff too, like surprise Royal Rumble appearances, tag division, even hardcore or cruiserweight (remember Jacqueline won that belt?).

As far as her mainstream stardom, she would’ve remained in the public eye as a top WWE superstar, her second Playboy shoot which she did in 2002 after leaving the company would’ve been another smash and probably part of a WWE storyline, and she would’ve had more chance at booking mainstream movie roles. The Rock did Scorpion King in 2002 and Lita did Dark Angel same year. Chyna absolutely would’ve been booked and busy as an actress, either in film or TV guest spots.

It’s just sad how that one decision to not stick with WWE set her entire life on such a dark path because she was such a huge talent and so unique for the time period. She also would’ve got most the credit for starting the women’s evolution and opening the door for future powerhouse women like Rhea, Jade Cargill etc.
