Goron mask transformation

After the Zora one I thought I'd do the rest of the masks : ) here is the Goron transformation. I had him enveloped in water for the Zora so I thought rock would be good for the Goron. I ran out of paper; there should be a few more frames.

Tried to animate a Choi Hyun Seok salt throw

One of my characters makes potions. Potions are kinda like cooking...right? She's very bubbly and inventive and I imagine she would toss ingredients like he does.

Richard Truly memorabilia

My family lived down the street from Commander Truly in the mid 80s when I was little. My grandpa became friends with him and got these for me. Said he was an awesome guy.

Zora mask transformation

This was always the most unsettling transformation for me. I thought it would be fun to give it my spin. I referenced an image I found online for the first frame then I ran with it.

My daughter and I had a great time in your store yesterday

My 9 year old loves taking pictures. She was my mini photographer yesterday. We were waiting for my wife and older daughter who were doing some back to school shopping. I think I had more fun than she did. Layout was great by the way, excellent service and overall experience. 5 stars.

I know I'm not employed by Kohls but I thought this sub might get a chuckle from this. I worked Best Buy for 5 years. I know the retail struggle. Keep it up yall, it is appreciated.

Samurai tints and Champloo shades (2012)

Did this as an assignment in my color theory class at SCAD. Was a fun project. My wife helped me a bit with cutting out the shapes.

Canti (2006)

One of my first reproductions that I tried to paint. I used a ruler to measure and double the dimensions of the original image to create a connect-the-dots type drawing. Then I filled it in by hand while looking at the original. Acrylic on thick drawing paper 16 x 12 inches

Rollin'

Didn't really have an existing place in mind, but I was thinking about riding around the BotW map when I drew this today

Link vs Morpheel

Having a lot of fun with these Zelda animations! Started this one last night and kept going today. This boss fight from Twilight Princess was epic.

Link vs Stalfos (round 1)

The Stalfos were always really intimidating for me back in the day. I remember being so worried if I didn't defeat them quickly enough they'd come back to life. They were a really good enemy for that type of game at the time. You needed some strategy/be good on your feet to circle around or time your strikes and it felt different each time I fought one.

I did this while waiting for my car to get serviced this morning. Gonna add a few more frames to the shield bash at the end and 'flesh' out the Stalfos. Maybe add a dungeon type background... Forest Temple? Of Ganondorf's castle.... some torches flickering on the wall sounds good.

Evangelion Groundwork Study - hand drawn reproduction

I shared this with r/Evangelion a little while ago. I used my Groundwork book which shows the key frames to draw them by hand on my light box. I wanted to try and recreate the scene as best I could. This is a study, NOT MY ORIGINAL WORK. You can see the book I used in the 3rd picture.

Water study - Quentin Cordonnier reproduction on pencil and paper

I did this while scrubbing frame by frame through one of Quentin Cordonnier's YouYube videos on how to animate water. I really love how expressive the water looks. I wanted to study it, so I made this. I CANNOT CLAIM THIS AS MY OWN. It was directly referenced from an existing animation.

Link vs Phantom Ganondorf (3 shots)

Found the frames today for the 2nd and 3rd shot. I went over them once. I'm gonna add some more frames and fill it out a bit. I posted the first part a little while ago, I put it in again for continuity.

Grim vs the dragon - full sequence

still a lot to work on, especially keeping the characters on model... the dragon's wings and legs are really tough to lock down. The dragon's neck right before the elbow drop is tough too. Overall, this has been a really fun project; animating straight ahead on computer paper. It made me slow down and think about my decisions a bit more.

Spiegel breakin it down - animation attempt (2008)

This was one of my very first animations when I was in college. I had an AMV idea for Cowboy Bebop with all fan made animation using Scissor Sisters 'Take your momma out all night'. I think I have the storyboard somewhere. One of the shots had Spike doing a funky little break down, so I tried to animate it. Then I realized how much time and energy goes into animating and rethought that whole project....

Reproduction of Haruko from the Groundwork book (2009)

This was one of the first drawings I did when I moved to Korea. I was very familiar with Korean food, but my second night there I went to McDonald's cause it was just across the street and I felt a tiny drop of homesickness. I brought my Groundwork book and started working on this.

I prefer her wildness, but sometimes, her calmer side is really nice too.

Edit ** I just saw the Naota drawing didn't delete lol so yeah, there is another reproduction in here as well, also from the artbook. Did it years after that first one when I was teaching English at the Hyundai Kia R & D center

I included the original image(s) by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto as well.
