What is one thing that use to be enjoyable, but now its not because people have ruined it ?

Theres a band I use to love as a kid. They weren't super big, but they were considered a quarterstone of alternative/emo culture.

Now I cant listen to em because the fandoms weird, their new music doesnt feel authentic and i hate it. You cant go into fan groups without others being absolutely nasty towards you.

Music doesnt feel the same anymore 😭. People are obsessive, concerts feel like a chore to go to and nothing feels genuine

I wish TØP did smaller shows again

I dont know if Im experiencing burnout or what, but I can bring myself to want to go to the Ohio show. I signed up for the pre-sale, but I doubt Ill actually do it.

Idk why, but the idea of them performing at such big places kinda ruins the vibe for me. If Im gonna watch em, id rather it be at smaller venues. Especially if they perform a lot of their older stuff.

I have a emotional attachment to Vessel, and its been my dream to hear that album live somewhere like The Basment or Newport. Its weird seeing g Guns for Hands or Holding onto You being played infront of a large crowd. It doesnt feel right.

Theres even some new songs like that, especially Drag Path and Next Semester.

Sorry to be a negative nancy yall. But this has been bugging me for a while. I hope someone understands what Im feeling

Its me! Im the my little pony! (Credit to @Merchaniotes on Etsy)

I love the art so much! Only problem is im worried the skateboard looks like a band-aid. Not the artists fault, I just didnt think about what it would look like.

What do yall think?

Is it normal to feel more of a connection to older music?

I dont wanna be one of those 'new stuff sucks! Music is dyin' kind of people. But Ive noticed how hard it is for me to enjoy a lot of new stuff. Theres some bands I do like , Half-Alive, Cab for a Cutie, TØP for example. I like the vibe and messages they give off, but a lot of artists now-a-days are hard to relate to. Maybe its because it isnt for me, but i want to expand my pallete.

It could be due to fandom takeover , the fact that you hear new artists everywhere or the fact that theres always drama with artists. But I dont get it.

Older work feels more alive to me. Idk why. Im not a expert when it comes to music, but is there a difference between how stuff was written back then compared to now? Is it because we have more technology that makes things feel artificial (AI included, but that's not what this is about).

Name suggestions pls!

A OC/possible truesona.

Theyre a cryptidcore/goblincore inspired nerdy earth pony.

They live and explore the EverFree Forest and have a strong attachment to fireflies.

I (F,26) have been scrolling through different subreddits of fandoms Im in, and Im noticing more and more people hoarding merchandise to a point where their room is filled to the brim.

It sounds stupid, but Id prefer the exact opposite. My room is clean. I have a few books and posters, but I consider it more 'minimalist". Not in the beige mom way, but you know what I mean.

I have things Id like to keep , but FOMO and overconsumption make me feel like I dont show my love for a character/show enough.

Am I valid in not wanting to fall for that trap? How do you all present your stuff??

Ngl. Buzzed quizzes are kinda annoying. You can only answer 'whats your favorite season?!' So many times 😭.

Here's some info I wrote about myself so yall can give a answer other than 'DOG!'

•I go by They/Them • I have dark brown eyes and shoulder length(kinda wavy) dark brown hair. I wear round glasses. Little more fem looking but I present kinda in the middle.

•I love earthy colors (especially green and cream/white) and my clothing and home reflect that. All my clothing are thrifted/from flea markets

•Id describe myself as introverted. I dont isolate myself, but I prefer peace and quiet. I like my quiet, comfy, small-ish spaces. I am a little stubborn, but Im gettin better (I hope lol).

•I like lego flowers, playing minecraft and nature walks

•I play piano

• If I was a DND/RPG character it would be a Druid

•My favorite animals areOwls,Sheep,Cats,Bunnies,Deer, Fireflies

My favorite flowers are Clivia Miniata, Narcissus, Trumpet Lily, Magnolias and Lily of the Valley

•My favorite pokemon is Whimsicott

• Some movies/TV I like: Coraline, The Last Unicorn , MLP FIM, Overall the Garden Wall, Guardians of Ga'hoole, Golden Girls, Threes Company, Anastasia
