‘MAKUKULONG NINYO KAMI AT MAPATATAHIMIK PERO HINDI PO KAMI SUSUKO'

Ito ang pahayag ng dating kongresistang si Mike Defensor kasunod ng inilabas na arrest warrant ng Sandiganbayan 3rd Division laban sa kanila ni Sen. Rodante Marcoleta at dalawa pang iba.

Isa si Defensor sa donors umano ni Marcoleta sa P75 million campaign donations na hindi nito idineklara sa SOCE at SALN.

“Kaming lumalaban sa korupsyon ang nauna pang nakulong sa isang kasong walang batayan,” saad ni Defensor.

“Makukulong ninyo kami at mapatatahimik pero hindi po kami susuko,” dagdag pa niya

UPDATE: Ombudsman Boying Remulla announced the dismissal from service of former Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca.

In a radio interview on Saturday, Remulla said he had already signed the dismissal order against Aplasca but did not disclose the reason behind the dismissal.

“Noong Monday, pinirmahan ko na ‘yung dismissal ni Mao Aplasca from the service… Ilalabas namin ang desisyon para makita ng tao dahil mahirap na magpaliwanag,” he said. | via Allison Co, ABS-CBN News

‘INIISA-ISA NA KAMI SA MINORITY’

Kinuwestiyon ni Sen. Robin Padilla ang inihaing obstruction of justice complaint laban sa kaniya dahil sa umano’y pagtulong kay Sen. Bato dela Rosa na makatakas sa Senado.

Sinabi ito ni Padilla sa kaniyang talumpati nang magtungo sa ikatlong araw ng Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) rally ngayong Huwebes, July 2.

HANDA SI MARCOLETA

Nakahanda umano si Sen. Rodante Marcoleta na maaresto kaugnay ng plunder case na ihahain ng Office of the Ombudsman laban sa kaniya.

Paliwanag ng senador, wala umano siyang problema kung ito ang magiging kabayaran ng aniya’y pagtanggol sa katarungan at interes ng mga Pilipino.

Inanunsyo ng Ombudsman na kakasuhan nila ng plunder si Marcoleta kaugnay ng umano’y undeclared campaign donation na tinanggap ng senador noong nakaraang eleksyon.

Naglabas ng pahayag si Vice Pres. Sara Duterte kaugnay ng isinasagawang rally ng Iglesia ni Cristo sa EDSA ngayong Martes, June 30.

Ayon kay VP Sara, sinasalamin ng rally ang matagal na niyang sentimyento laban sa administrasyon ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

"The President’s failures of character and leadership have fostered an increasingly oppressive political environment. A government that answers criticism with intimidation undermines the very democratic institutions it is sworn to protect," ayon sa bise.

‘ALAM KONG AARESTUHIN NILA AKO’

Naniniwala si Sen. Rodante Marcoleta na ginigipit siya para hindi umano mapanagot si Rep. Martin Romualdez sa mga akusasyong sangkot ito sa flood control scandal.

Inaasahan din daw na hindi siya makasasali sa impeachment proceedings ni Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.

Kasunod ito ng anunsyo ni Ombudsman Boying Remulla na kakasuhan ng plunder si Marcoleta.

“Sa madaling salita, dalawang ibon sa isang putok, mga kababayan,” saad ni Marcoleta.

“Alam kong aarestuhin nila ako. Alam kong ikukulong nila ako. Ngunit hindi po dahilan 'yan para tumigil ako sa paglilingkod sa inyo,” dagdag pa niya.

In 1997, six-year-olds Ed Savitt and Heidi Parker met while on holiday at a resort in Turkey. They became close friends at the kids' club and spent their days playing on the beach, laughing together, and even holding hands. Like many childhood holiday friendships, they lost touch when the vacation ended.

As the years passed, Heidi completely forgot about Ed. More than a decade later, in 2011, fate brought them together again. Both were students at Newcastle University and happened to be living in the same student flat. One day, Ed found a piece of mail with Heidi's name on it. Curious, he looked her up on Facebook and sent her a message asking a simple question about how to use the tumble dryer.

The message started a friendship that soon turned into love. Over the next few years, the couple grew closer, and in 2015, Ed proposed to Heidi.

A few months after the engagement, they were having dinner with their mothers when Heidi's mum, Kay, mentioned a little boy named Ed whom Heidi had befriended during a family holiday in Turkey many years earlier. The conversation sparked a memory, and Kay decided to search through old photographs.

A few weeks later, she found the picture. To everyone's amazement, the young boy in the photo was Ed. The couple could hardly believe that they had first met as children and then found each other again years later without realizing it.

Ed and Heidi married in August 2016 and even recreated their childhood photograph for their wedding invitations, making their love story even more special.
