This is another level of petty. And it's incredible how many things you can tell without directly telling them.
The USA is one of the least racist countries in the world
To be honest the CURRENT USA is less racist than most countries because of years of laws, amendments and consequences. More media visibility means you can't get away with some things that easily. But go visit some countries and you will see that some are denied human rights based on their religion/ethnic group (Myanmar), the raping and killing of albinos (Tanzania), mass expulsion of white people (Zimbabwe), blatant racial discrimination (South Korea, Honduras, India). The USA is heaven in comparison.
And I say this as somebody who is not white and not a US national. These problems are documented extensively. But I know Reddit likes to pick on the USA and call it hell. And don't get me started on homophobia. A lot of countries straight up imprison or kill people just for loving somebody the same sex as them. And there are places where people actually encourage that violence because what they perceive as a sin or against their personal belief system.
People like to talk a lot but they mostly live in their own bubble and don't investigate before making claims. If you're going to say something about the USA, talk about the health system or their World Police attitude.
I am too sensitive to constant interruptions.
I get incredibly frustrated with people that talk over me or don't let me enter a conversation or straight up make me feel like furniture in a conversation. I end up feeling like shit. My brother has told me to just enter the conversation confidently and say it again when I get interrupted, but when I do that, I either get interrupted again or get weird looks.
I was hoping for a story about an Avatar in the modern world with modern tech, but this is also interesting.
The Steam client on Linux has a silent update problem
When used on SteamOS or Bazzite, you would never find this issue, because Steam is a core part of the system. But when used on other distros, like Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, etc., Steam sometimes updates silently. That means you don't see anything while it's updating. If your connection is slow, you would think Steam is simply not launching at all.
I reproduced this same thing on different distros and laptops. You can launch it through the terminal and there you would see visual feedback that it's updating. When it has finished, it launches. But then it's tied to that terminal window, and if you close it, it will close Steam.
Casual users will not do this. They will just think it doesn't work on Linux. And it could be solved by adding a progress bar window like on Windows. You always know it's going to launch because there is a visible small window telling you it's updating before it attempts to launch. The same issue happens independently of it being a .deb package, a repository install, a flatpak or a snap.
Valve could add visual feedback for the update.

X11 is starting to be inconvenient. I hope Mint 23 fixes this.
I've experienced a lot of screen tearing while scrolling vertically. YouTube videos stutter. It's not my PC because it's a Linux certified Latitude 5480 with 8GB RAM. And these problems are completely absent when using KDE Plasma 6.6 with Wayland. This might be too technical for new users but the experience is felt when using it for such trivial tasks.
I was so hyped
Hey man, thank you for coming, and for tasting our food, and for dancing to our traditional music, but I wished you came to the interior, the provinces or other coasts. That man next to you is in parts liked and in parts deeply hated in this country. He makes us look like dumb fucks without education. Loud. Careless. Obsessed with celebrity gossip. I enjoyed the part where the Dominican Chinese man and you were talking, and that's pretty much it. You were surrounded by a huge crowd of people that obscured your view of the streets, neighborhoods and culture. I wish you saw monuments, historic places and better people, since a lot of people in that video are what others call "chopos" or low level hood people. If you ever come back please don't associate with Alofoke. He ruined your stream, and I bet he had something to do with the stream view inflation with bots. You're always welcome to come back.
It's getting increasingly hard to keep up
I'm on Bazzite, but sometimes it gets overwhelmed by the browser alone, especially if I'm working with documents and on a class meeting. I read about EndlessOS needing only 2GB but I'm not sure. And the other uBlue distros need 8GB or more. Bluefin needs 16GB, for example.
